The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 90: 090 Taiyin Qimen (First Order Additional Update)

The Ape Spirit released Yin Fire, like ink splashing into clear water, diffusing and trapping Lin Han within.

The fire scorched from all sides, but instead of heat, a chilling wind assaulted him. Lin Han shivered violently in the fire, feeling the cold pierce deep into his bones.

The White Light Sword circled around him, its bright Sword Qi dispersing the black flames wherever it passed. Yet as some flames dispersed, others surged anew. The sword light, like a glowing whip, swirled and flickered, blocking most of the black flames, but still, a few reached Lin Han.

Lin Han quickly utilized his cultivation to resist. First, he utilized the Qigong that his grandfather had taught him from a young age. This technique, top-tier even among the mundane martial arts world, could ward off the extremes of cold and heat once mastered.

He directed the heat from his Dantian outwards to his limbs to ward off the cold. Soon, he expelled the chill from his body, feeling a surge of joy, and thought to himself that the Ape Spirit's Ghost Fire was not so formidable. He widened his eyes searching for the Ape Spirit, but saw nothing but encircling black flames. Concentrating, he pinpointed the Ape Spirit's location and released the five Copper Coin Darts he was clutching!

His Copper Coin Darts were no ordinary coins; to confront the Ape Spirit, he had sharpened their edges on a Grinding Stone. With his strength, he could easily pierce tree trunks as thick as an arm.

Following the sound, he fired five darts in rapid succession, all shooting into the fire.

The Ape Spirit was indeed flying around him within the black flames, pondering how to breach the White Light Sword and kill the boy. It was casting a spell to capture his soul from afar when suddenly, the Copper Coin Darts struck, all hitting his face and head. Lin Han had cleverly calculated the Ape Spirit's height and the armor he wore, aiming specifically for the face!

As the Ape Spirit was a body condensed from a Primordial Spirit, it suffered no injuries from the hits, but was startled and leaped from the fire, springing up to the clouds. Upon realizing it had been hit by mere coins, it nearly lost its temper. Angrily, it retrieved two Yin Thunder pearls and flicked them into the black flames, causing consecutive explosions as green and black fires raged and splattered.

Both Thunder Pearls were blocked by the White Light Sword. Lin Han was knocked to the ground by the shockwave, and just as he was about to rise, his knees weakened and he found himself unable to stand, kneeling on the ground.

It was then he noticed the change; his body was no longer cold, but heating up. The earlier cold had penetrated from outside to his bones, but now the heat radiated from within, emanating from his Dantian and internal organs as if firing out, the burning sensation in his muscles and bones excruciating.

In desperation, he endeavored to utilize his cultivation again, only to find that the True Qi summoned from his Dantian was burning up. The more he cultivated, the fiercer the burning became, starting from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head; his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, eyes, ears, nose, and tongue all seemed to scorch in flames, even his breath felt scalding hot.

Lin Han then realized the severity of his plight, his heart pounding in panic. He tried calling for his master several times with no response and quickly recalled the Mysterious Skill taught by Master Shi Feiyang. He crossed his legs, settled his mind in the Kidney Place, and activated the circulation of the River Car Mental Method.

It was extremely difficult at first, but enduring the pain and stabilizing his spirit, he continued the circulation for several cycles. As heat and cold intertwined in the cycle, he gradually digested the intense sensations, finally feeling somewhat more comfortable.

Shi Feiyang was exactly trying to use the Ape Spirit to hone his killer instincts and stubbornness. The Ape Spirit kept fueling the Yin Fire outside, occasionally releasing a few Yin Thunders and unleashing the Peach Wood Sword and two other Magical Treasures from all sides to attack inward. The White Light Sword blocked his primary tactics, allowing some residual fiery energy to temper Lin Han.

Lin Han was stable in nature; he temporarily suppressed his desire to kill the Ape Spirit, fully concentrated on his cultivation, and immediately delved deep into it. Heart Fire and Kidney Water, Primordial Essence and Qi circled repeatedly. His Primordial Spirit sat firmly in the Central Palace, dominating the circulation, maintaining integrity internally and repelling external evil. The power of Yin Fire could not infiltrate his organs and was blocked outside.

The Ape Spirit intensified his efforts, burning from morning till sunset. Instead of being harmed, Lin Han appeared even more vibrant, sitting firmly and upright, his back growing straighter.

The Ape Spirit, furious, grinded his teeth until they shattered several times. Being a body formed by the condensed Primordial Spirit, his teeth could grow back and he would bite down again as his rage overwhelmed him. Seeing the day turning into night, the setting sun and rising moon, he took out the flag from his back and began setting up the Taiyin Qimen Formation.

He had intended to use this tactic against Shi Feiyang and was reluctant to employ it prematurely. Now failing to handle even a youngster, he could no longer hold back. Casting his spell, he staked the flags and set up the formation. After completion, he let out a piercing scream. From the ground all around, a yellow radiance surged, forming a huge circle of light over a hundred yards in diameter, shrinking from all sides towards the center, trapping Lin Han in the heart of the formation!

Lin Han, indulging in his cultivation within the fire, thought that the Ape Spirit's capabilities were limited and that by continuing as it was, the Ape Spirit would be helpless against him. Suddenly, his body tightened, covered in yellow light as if encased within copper walls and iron barricades, unable to move at all.

Then, the Ape Spirit performed hand seals and cast spells, invoking the energies of Gen and Zhen. Gen, in the Northeast, symbolized the mountain, and Zhen, in the East, symbolized thunder, their combined forces creating a thunderous mountainous echo, rumbling like an earthquake, smashing towards the center.

At the last moment, the White Light Sword burst forth with brightness, transforming into a flurry of white sword light enveloping Lin Han, swiftly lifting off the ground and flying toward the county town. As the surrounding mountain thunder arrived, it bombarded the sword light in continuous explosions.

Boom after boom, the explosions continued, and midway, the White Light Sword scattered its radiance, and together with Lin Han, plummeted to the ground.

The Ape Spirit, observing from above as the White Light Sword lost its light, looking like mere iron, saw Lin Han with closed eyes, fallen beside the sword, blood streaming from his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, motionless.

He flew down to inspect, finding Lin Han lifeless, a surge of satisfaction filled his heart, and he sneered, "You thought you could defeat me! You, boy, killed the children in my cave; I will not let you reincarnate freely. First, I'll capture your Primordial Spirit and refine it into Yin Thunder!"

Hatred poisoned his heart against Lin Han, ready to cast the Soul Capture spell when suddenly, the light of the Immortal Sword on the ground flared up again, shimmering like a white dragon. The sword's tip curled backward, striking back and piercing the Ape Spirit's chest.

Startled, the Ape Spirit hastily dispersed his spells and soared, realizing his Peach Wood Sword was ineffective, he aimed to fly into the Taiyin Qimen Formation, planning to use the Array to bombard the sword again. Fond of Flying Swords throughout his life, he saw the fine quality of the White Light Sword and thought to disperse its True Qi and seize it for thorough refinement.

As he flew above the Formation, barely parting the yellow light to enter, the Array's light opened, and inside stood a person—Shi Feiyang.

His Taiyin Qimen Formation was derived from Qimen Dunjia, and he had not mastered it completely. Shi Feiyang, with a glance, understood the setup, quietly entering from the Northwest Qian Palace, waiting here specially for him. Holding the Yu Ding in his hand, as the Ape Spirit approached, he made the Ding Cover fly up. The wolf head and elephant nose on it sparkled, shooting two straight beams of red light. The Ape Spirit couldn't react in time and was struck by the red light, fixing his Primordial Spirit in place, unable to exert any Divine Power or Divine Skills anymore.
