The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 81: 081 Return to Dinghu Peak Again

Shi Feiyang subdued the Demon Dragon and first came to Situ Ding.

Situ Ding's face was flushed with red, his skin cracked and bleeding. He was seriously injured, and his spirit was somewhat withered. The recent ordeal of alternating cold and heat was not only a torment to his body and spirit but also consumed a great deal of his Primordial Qi.

Shi Feiyang had many Spiritual Pills that could instantly revitalize Situ Ding, but he did not give them to him. Instead, he passed on a Cultivation Method for mobilizing the heart and kidneys and harmonizing the Kan and Li, letting him slowly cultivate his recovery. In this way, when he fully recovered in two or three months, he would be like a phoenix reborn.

After arranging things for Situ Ding, Shi Feiyang flew to the Red Valley Stone Prison beneath Yan Lake.

Inside there was a Magical Treasure left by Yu the Great, called Taiyin Earth Net. Although it couldn't compare to the Yu Ding, its power was formidable. Sealed here, it made the lake's bedrock as hard as diamond. For thousands of years, the Demon Dragon had tried all kinds of methods to break through it, but had he been able to, he would have long since tunneled out from underground.

Shi Feiyang tested it and confirmed that the Taiyin Earth Net also followed the twelve cycles of the Yellow Path and the seventy-two variations of Earth Evil, connected to the earth's energy, changing and yet unchanging. Over four thousand years, it had become increasingly resistant.

Understanding the principles, the rest was easy. Shi Feiyang used five of Emperor Huang's Golden Talismans to lift and confiscate it.

Back on shore, Shi Feiyang opened the Yu Ding and released all the water it contained, first from a jet of water in the Five-Colored Radiant Light of the ding that surged into the air, growing rapidly and transforming into a massive waterfall. With a thundering sound, the water was poured back into the lake.

After the water was restored, Yan Lake regained its former splendor. Shi Feiyang used the Cave Spirit Zither to remove the Zither Sound Restriction, allowed the displaced Water Clan to return to inhabit the lakes, and also awakened the three Green Flood Dragons on the ground.

The Green Flood Dragons rose from the ground, trembling and crawling before Shi Feiyang as if they had seen their natural predator.

Shi Feiyang looked at them with pity, "You can continue to stay here, but in the future, when you wreak havoc and flood, you will still die by the sword of an Immortal. It's better to come and cultivate within this ding. I will teach you the Chi You Refining Form Great Technique. Your former leader, the Demon Dragon, is already inside. Of course, whether or not you agree, I will return your inner cores to their rightful places."

The Green Flood Dragons had resigned themselves to their fate, ready to be slaughtered, and upon hearing his offer, they wondered if they had misheard: Could there really be such a good fortune?

One of the Green Flood Dragons was particularly clever, "We are willing to follow the Immortal in cultivation!" The other two also nodded repeatedly, touching the ground with their heads in agreement.

Shi Feiyang then took them into the ding as well. With this, his journey to Yandang Mountain was concluded to perfection!

He brought Situ Ding down from the mountain and bid farewell. Situ Ding knelt on both knees and kowtowed in gratitude, "May I ask for the Immortal's honored name, so that I may engrave it in my heart."

Shi Feiyang waved his hand dismissively, "There is no need for that. Let us forget each other in the Jianghu!" Saying this, he stepped forward, and in a single bound, he crossed a hundred li away, ascending into the clouds, and after a few steps, he completely disappeared from view.

Situ Ding gazed upwards, dazed and spirited, feeling somewhat desolate as he stood up. He regretted inwardly, "If only I could become a disciple of this Immortal and learn from him, dying a few times would be worth it! Alas, my fate is thin." With a sigh, he reluctantly turned and shouldered his sword to descend the mountain.

After leaving Yandang Mountain, Shi Feiyang did not go far but went directly to Immortal Mountain and returned to Dinghu Peak.

Years had passed in a flash since he left that day, and Dinghu Peak stood as before as if nothing had changed.

He reached the peak of the mountain and gazed into the clear waters of the lake below. Diving into the depths, he once again found himself atop the lying Dragon Stone at the lake's bottom, his past experiences here unfolding like scenes from a dream.

Shi Feiyang caught two birds and used them to send messages to the Red Snake and Xuan Turtle, telling them of his return and demanding their immediate presence. Then he settled down to refine the Yu Ding at the bottom of the lake.

He expected the turtle and snake to find him quickly, but after waiting for nearly half a month, there was still no sign of them.

As he was about to cast divination, two young Daoist priests suddenly appeared at the peak, flying in. Both were quite young, with robust, mean-looking faces and cold, ruthless eyes. One held a long banner in his hand, while the other had a large gourd hanging from his waist. They stood atop the peak, peering curiously downward.

Shi Feiyang burst through the water to the surface and hovered above, asking the two, "Who are you, and what brings you here?"

The sight of Shi Feiyang in his blue robes and standing tall with a graceful poise drew a sense of inadequacy from the two young priests, diminishing their aura slightly, "We are the personal disciples of the Sect Hierarch of the Golden Flower Sect, and we have been sent by our master's order to capture a Demon Dragon. The Demon Dragon is said to be several dozen feet long, covered in black scales, a huge beast, rumored to be under this very lake. You emerged from within—did you see it?"

A black dragon several dozen feet long; are they speaking of me? But I've been gone for years, back for only a few days. How did these two learn of my presence?

Keeping his composure, Shi Feiyang inquired, "Where did you hear about a black dragon here?"

With a hint of pride, one Daoist child spoke, "Not long ago, our Sect Hierarch captured a huge black turtle, pitch black as ink, claimed to be a Primordial Species, a sign of good omen. He intends to slaughter it and use its shell to forge Magic Artifacts. Then, a fierce big red-scaled snake appeared, capable of spitting poisonous mist and possessing a Magical Treasure. Despite this, the snake was no match for our master's divine might; subdued by his casting, he plans to slaughter it as well, using its inner core for Alchemy.

Ordinarily, it would have been of no concern, but this morning marks the Golden Flower Festival of our holy sect. The Sect Hierarch intended to slaughter them and gift the flesh to the local people when he claimed to have a king, a Black Dragon residing in Dinghu Peak, endowed with widespread Divine Skills and boundless Mana. If my master were to kill him, the dragon would bring disaster upon us, not only eradicating our Golden Flower Sect but inundating Qingtian County entirely. Thus, my master dispatched us with Magical Treasures to capture the black dragon, to slay it and reward its flesh to our followers."

Shi Feiyang remarked, "I've seen that black dragon before; it's rather formidable. How do you intend to capture it?"

The Daoist on the left shook his long banner proudly, "You see, this banner here, known as the Flower Evil Soul Banner, along with the Divine Gang within brother Chen's gourd, which contains our sect's treasure, the Flower Evil Divine Gang. Once we encounter the Demon Dragon, we will simultaneously exercise our Divine Skills. Brother Chen will unleash the Flower Evil, and I will control it with this banner. Once we ensnare the Demon Dragon, it will stand no chance of escape, and we will capture it on the spot!"

"Is it that formidable?" Shi Feiyang pointed at the banner, "Without this banner, you can't control the Flower Evil?"

"Our Mana is weak; the Flower Evil Divine Gang is a treasure of our sect with infinite power; we can only harness it through this Divine Banner bestowed by our master."

"Oh, I see, in that case… let me have a look at it!" Shi Feiyang reached out and directly snatched the banner away.

Despite being clearly a yard apart, the Daoist only saw a blur, and the banner was already out of his hands, leaving him both surprised and anxious, "What are you doing? Return our sacred treasure immediately!"

As Shi Feiyang examined the banner closely, he noted that the pole was made of wood, polished to a smooth finish, with obscure engraved characters at certain places, filled with cinnabar red lacquer. The banner itself, made of fine hemp, was smudged with densely packed, sinister symbols in red lacquer; it was quite malevolent, causing dizziness after a prolonged gaze.

The Daoist grew anxious, raising his voice, "Quickly return it! Otherwise, don't blame me for being impolite!"

Shi Feiyang chuckled lightly and snatched the gourd from the other Daoist, "I want to see what's so formidable about this Flower Evil. You're threatening to be impolite? That's fine; let's see how you manage that." He planned to see what tricks the two had up their sleeves before seeking out their Sect Hierarch.
