The Princess of Stone God used another method to lure Jiang Xuejun into a trap. Although the Taoists were not as enthusiastic in spreading their teachings as the monks, they were equally arrogant and aloof, always feeling transcendent, with a strong sense of saving the world.
The Zhu Rong Wizards earnestly requested Jiang Xuejun to be their savior, saying they were frequently plagued by diseases and demon beasts, begging Jiang Xuejun to protect them and bless them.
Jiang Xuejun already had a lofty and ambitious heart, and her desire to sweep away demons and kill all evil was the same as Zhu Youmu's.
The trap tailor-made by the Princess of Stone God quickly attracted her, and after several invitations and persuasion, she moved into the Holy Mother Palace.
These two, one following Buddhism and the other following Daoism, had the Great Buddha Temple in the west and the Holy Mother Palace in the east. The thirty-six countries were divided into two parts; one part believed in Buddhism, the other believed in Daoism.
Jiang Xuejun first stabilizes the faith, starting with people from various tribes bringing all their possessions to worship the two, elevating them high.
Later, conflicts begin between the Eastern Eighteen Countries and the Western Eighteen Countries, starting with minor tribal frictions, gradually turning into major frictions, then small conflicts, and eventually large conflicts...
Many things are originally disputes where both sides claim righteousness, such as a piece of land where you claim you were there first, and I say my ancestors arrived thousands of years earlier, and I just left then, wanting to reclaim it now. Even if the Buddha mediated, it would be of no use; it still ends in fighting where whoever occupies it claims it's theirs.
There are other issues, such as fish, shrimp, and scallops from one sea moving into another, countries redrawing borders due to changes in glacial paths, a princess of one tribe marrying into another and then returning without returning the bride price... If it were clear good and evil, it would be simple, but everything is ambiguous, and simple dichotomies of good or evil can't resolve these.
Everyone seeks Zhu Youmu and Jiang Xuejun for fairness. Initially, neither realized anything, but the piles of minor grievances become major grievances, first thinking the other is unfair, then thinking they're wrong, then thinking they're excessive... Eventually minor hatred turns into major hatred and one day they fight ferociously!
They had centuries of friendship, which would generally not be broken by others, but the Princess of Stone God's strategies were too fierce, using the people of thirty-six countries to set up the situation. Jiang Xuejun's Primordial Spirit was also tainted by the Heavenly Lust Sect Leader, so she quickly followed the path the Princess of Stone God set, leading to a confrontation.
Initially, they fought each other remotely. Later, each side's followers massacred the other's tribes, escalating the violence far beyond control.
At this point, they still regarded old feelings, holding back, but resentment had reached its peak.
Until one day, Jiang Xuejun's three tribes were totally slaughtered by the opposition, sparing neither women nor children. Jiang Xuejun finally loses it, flying to seek revenge on Zhu Youmu.
On Zhu Youmu's side, the killers were kneeling before the Buddha, confessing. They sought Zhu Youmu to confess, saying they exterminated the tribes because the other side insulted the Buddha days earlier, raiding their temple and decapitating the Buddha statue, urinating on it. They said it was unbearable!
Jiang Xuejun branded this group as evil demons, proclaiming she would act in heaven's stead and kill them all.
Zhu Youmu refused, saying there was a reason behind the actions, the other side destroyed Buddhism first, receiving retribution later. Though the massacre was too tragic, Jiang Xuejun shouldn't kill anymore, instead imprisoning them within the temple and finding a way to ease the suffering of the dead.
Jiang Xuejun retorted, saying her tribes beheaded the Buddha statue because the other side first slandered Daoism, even speaking lightly of Jiang Xuejun herself. The killers must be executed, all those with bloodstained hands must pay with their lives!
The dispute escalated, eventually leading to a real fight.
Both wielded mana beyond Heavenly Immortal, and as they fought, mountains crumbled and earth shattered.
Jiang Xuejun had treasures left by her master like the Divine Maiden Shuttle, Soundless Thunder, and Heavenly Dragon Scissors, while Zhu Youmu possessed the Purple Gold Bowl, and they fought with growing fury.
Initially, Zhu Youmu focused on defense, using his full power to defend, Buddha Light and the Bowl covering the entire Great Buddha Temple, like iron walls, preventing Jiang Xuejun from penetrating.
At this point, if one of them could awaken, there might still be a chance to recover.
However, Jiang Xuejun's ambition was too strong. Originally suppressed, the Heavenly Lust Sect Leader secretly influenced her emotions, greatly fueling her anger, while the Princess of Stone God placed a Dharma Platform on an isolated island three thousand miles away in the North Sea, using the Heavenly Secret Demon Great Technique to affect her mind, fueling her anger to explode from within, ready to destroy herself!
Filled with fury, Jiang Xuejun could no longer restrain herself, flying to the murderer's home. There were five tribes, and with a wave, the Immortal Sword transformed into golden electric light darting across the ground, instantly slaying men, women, children, and livestock within the tribes.
She first slaughtered one tribe, then the second, followed by the third...
Zhu Youmu was thoroughly enraged and flew over to stop, using the Sandalwood Buddha Light to shield the people below. The Buddha Light was like a golden transparent mountain, harder than steel, and when the Flying Sword struck it, sparks flew, clinking incessantly, unable to penetrate at all.
Jiang Xuejun directly launched the Soundless Divine Thunder, which exploded silently, shattering the Buddha Light like a landslide.
Such was the power of the Soundless Divine Thunder; firing three in succession, she bolstered its might with her own True Qi. With a gesture, the place erupted with thunderous light, exterminating more than half of the tribe below in an instant!
Zhu Youmu roared, releasing the Vajra Giant Spirit God Palm, and Jiang Xuejun's casually issued Soundless Divine Thunder could not withstand this Buddha Palm. If she used one of the pre-refined large Thunder Pearls, it couldn't endure the consumption, so she wielded the Divine Maiden Shuttle to shatter the Buddha Palm midair.
The angrier they grew, the more bewildered they became.
Princess of Stone God initially only dared to use Magic to influence Jiang Xuejun, leveraging the power of the Heavenly Lust Sect Leader. She dared not easily cast on Zhu Youmu, fearing that an unintended mishap would make him suspicious, awakening his consciousness, and wasting all prior efforts.
When he engaged in a fiery battle with Jiang Xuejun, Princess of Stone God knew he was completely clouded by rage and resentment and boldly cast, using the Heavenly Secret Demon Great Technique to covertly restrain his Primordial Spirit.
These two top experts, when brought forth individually for a fair duel, Princess of Stone God would mostly lose. After all, she had emerged from the flesh, essentially just an Artifact Spirit within the Scriptures. Although she had regained a fleshly human form over the years and possessed the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword and the Netherworld Blood River, they were useful against others, but against Zhu Youmu and Jiang Xuejun, she was still outmatched.
If the two joined forces to attack, Princess of Stone God would be undoubtedly defeated.
Yet, these two direct inheritors of orthodox Buddhist and Daoist Magic Veins were effortlessly played with by Princess of Stone God.
The two battled for three days and nights, causing glaciers to collapse and permafrost to crack. Finally, Jiang Xuejun was defeated, violently coughing up blood from a strike of Zhu Youmu's Vajra Giant Spirit God Palm.
This strike utterly shattered the friendship they had cultivated over hundreds of years!
Jiang Xuejun and Zhu Youmu severed all ties and parted ways. Zhu Youmu became the ruler of the Thirty-Six Countries, truly the Living Buddha King above the King.
Having practiced for many years, Zhu Youmu retained some intrinsic wisdom. After driving away Jiang Xuejun, he was not content and began to deeply meditate. If he could regain clarity at this time, he would become alert again.
Actually, Zhu Youmu's Buddhist Law was undoubtedly profound. Under normal conditions, his downfall wouldn't go too deep, but rising higher always had a lingering flaw difficult to sever.
Bai Mei Zen Master had delayed for several hundred years because of him, continually trying to ferry him through, yet ultimately unsuccessful. Admitting his limited Wisdom, Bai Mei reasoned Zhu Youmu's connection to liberation was unripe and left alone to Nirvana.
Zhu Youmu found ascension hard and descent just as challenging. When the Pure Heart emerged, he was on the verge of becoming a Buddha Fruit, but his lingering flaw would activate to pull him back. Conversely, when he was about to fall into the Demon Path, his former Pure Heart would reappear to draw him back.
This time, though, Princess of Stone God directly performed the Blood Demon Great Method within his Meditative State.
Thus meditation became a Demon Realm, where Zhu Youmu saw an extraordinarily beautiful Heavenly Maiden descending to the Lower Realm, spreading Golden Flowers, releasing a captivating fragrance. She landed before him, sprawling between his crossed legs, and spoke to Zhu Youmu from perfumed lips, claiming to be a Witch but desiring rescue from suffering by a high Buddhist monk.
It is the instinct of most men to persuade skilled women to do good.
She transformed, looking pitiful, demonstrating her weakness: "I was born with the ability to allure people. Before you, I sought many high monks, but in the end, none could resist..."
This stirred Zhu Youmu's competitive spirit, convincing him those earlier so-called high monks lacked skill. He believed himself capable, thinking only he could save this Witch.
The Witch first lay on Zhu Youmu's knee, pleading for interpretations of the Buddhist Scripture, gradually moving to his embrace, wrapping her arms around his neck, mouth close to his ear, mouth to mouth...
As the saying goes, water droplets can wear through stone. Back in the day, Tian Yao maiden became renowned with the Transforming Vajra Soul-shaking Great Technique. Princess of Stone God's Blood God Scripture was the most formidable Supreme Divine Skill of the Demon Path, far surpassing the Soul-shattering Technique. As the Witch sat atop Zhu Youmu, they gradually attuned in intent, spirit, blood, and heart, culminating in mutual extraordinary resonance, unable to uphold restraint, testing all manner of techniques from the first volume of the Blood God Scripture within the Meditative State.
In reality, Zhu Youmu originally appeared youthful. Although he had cultivated for over a thousand years, living through several cycles, his appearance remained youthful. But now, he quickly matured...
