Shi Feiyang's Dragon Eyes had already spotted the surge of Evil Qi hundreds of miles away in the Heaven and Sea, as well as more than a dozen half-human, half-beast creatures swimming under the sea surface, some holding swords and spears.
He had lived on Wuding Island for so long that now, immediately after leaving, to kill the disciples of the island seemed improper.
Especially in the case of Zheng Yuan Gui; if he killed Zheng Yuan Gui, no matter the circumstances, Xiankong Ancestor would have no choice but to seek revenge for his disciple, even if he knew Zheng Yuan Gui had been at fault first. If he didn't kill Zheng Yuan Gui, the man would surely go back and stir up trouble, making Xiankong Ancestor his enemy.
Caught between a rock and a hard place, since he had already decided to leave, he didn't need to involve himself in any further karma. He simply halted his cloud light, and said to Zheng Yuan Gui, "I am already immensely grateful that you've brought me this far, fellow Daoist. Let's part ways here."
Zheng Yuan Gui said, "I wasn't completely doing this as a favor to you, as I need to go forward to collect herbs in the sea area anyway..."
It was this kind of excuse again, and Shi Feiyang said, "You want to head forward? I am going in that direction." He absentmindedly pointed somewhere.
Zheng Yuan Gui was taken aback, "But that's not the way to Roc Bay in the East Sea."
Shi Feiyang said, "I've just remembered, there's something else I need to deal with, after that, I'll head to the East Sea. Farewell!"
He moved to leave as soon as he finished speaking. Zheng Yuan Gui tried to stop him again, but Shi Feiyang was already soaring high in the sky. Zheng Yuan Gui swore angrily and thought about releasing his Flying Sword to pursue, but Shi Feiyang was using the "Thousand Miles in a Blink" technique. In an instant, he had flown a thousand miles away. When Zheng Yuan Gui tried to give chase, he had already lost his target and could only curse in frustration.
Shi Feiyang randomly chose a direction, and after flying swiftly for a while, he observed that the scenery of the North Sea was starkly different from the East Sea.
The sky in the North Sea was dim, far from the brightness of the East Sea. The sky was a grey hue, the seawater ink-blue, the sea breeze colder and stronger, and occasionally, drifts of ice floated on the water's surface.
After flying for a while, the daylight grew darker, and the seawater blacker; he suspected he had gone the wrong way at sea, so he hovered in the air to discern his direction once more. He sensed the local geomagnetic True Qi was more violent here, with the Yin Yang magnetic poles differing from other places.
In a location about three hundred miles from him, there was a reef. The rocks were only the size of three round tables, dark and hard. The surrounding sea waves continuously slapped against them, echoing hollowly and producing white foam. Ordinary people standing on it would be terrified.
Two exceedingly ugly individuals were on it now—one with a leopard head, squashed nose, rodent eyes, and eagle cheeks, sporting a pair of twinkling, triangular eyes, and not of great age. The other was gaunt, with a wolf-shaped head, a pair of mung bean eyes, and a stretch of scorched-yellow mustache hanging from his chin.
Those who could appear here were naturally cultivators, casting their magic and hunting the sea creatures.
They spotted a Black Dragon coiling and appearing in the clouds from a distance, understanding its power; they said to each other, "Let's quickly gather the Beads and then leave right away. We don't know what's up with that Black Dragon; we don't want it to ruin our business."
Their actions and words were all clearly seen and heard by Shi Feiyang. Although he wasn't looking to invite trouble or make a fuss about it, he continued to distinguish his direction.
Just at that moment, the two people hurriedly cast spells and pulled up a net from beneath the water's surface, billowing with black Qi, inside of which was an oversized Colorful Clam.
"We've finally caught it!"
The two men showed joy on their faces, the exceptionally skinny one took out a red triangular command flag and gently waved it, instantly ejecting a ten-foot-long blaze that flew and surrounded the reef on all four sides, preventing the Colorful Clam from escaping, while the other took out a small flag, emitting a green flame to burn the clamshell.
"We know that your cultivation has not come easy, and this time we just want to take that Primordial Pearl of yours. If you comply and offer up the Treasure Bead, we promise not to harm your life. But if you resist, we'll forcefully break the shell to take the bead, and you will not be able to save your little life!"
The green flames drilled into the clam through the gaps in the shell, and after a stalemate, the thin man yelled harshly, "Don't be ungrateful, thinking that our kindness makes us incapable of harming your shell!" Raising his hand, he threw out two streams of black light, which were Black Mold Nails that drilled deeper into the gaps of the clamshell.
The Colorful Clam could no longer endure it and burst out with dazzling, colorful light, like a flowing river that temporarily avoided the Green Flame and the Black Nails. The shell half-opened, and from within shot out a column of colorful light traveling north to south, stopping close to Shi Feiyang, within which a colorful silhouette pleaded with him, "Does the Dragon God still remember me? I am Wu Qingyang of the East Sea, currently in distress, being hunted, my life hanging by a thread, I humbly request Dragon God's aid!"
Wu Qingyang, Shi Feiyang naturally remembered him. He had gifted him quite a few beads, and it was also on his island where he basked in the sun, that he encountered millennium-old Purple River Grass, which subsequently led to a series of events with Lady Bao Xiang and Zhuge Jingwo among others.
He shook his head and tail and dived down; covering the three-hundred-mile distance in an instant, a huge dragon's head peeked from the sky, and he opened his mouth to breathe out a stream of Dan Qi.
He figured that since the Colorful Clam benefited from water and feared fire, he did not breathe out flames but instead used his True Water Inner Core to exhale a burst of vapor, mixed in with a copious amount of hail, enveloping an area of over ten acres, furiously pelting and whipping downwards.
The two men had always been wary of the Black Dragon, reluctant to provoke it. Little did they expect that the Colorful Clam they captured would be able to call for help, and without a word, the Black Dragon descended with a sky full of hail.
They knew the might of dragons; the Emei Sect's Shen Xiu had once slaughtered twenty-three adult True Dragons and countless young ones, earning the title of Dragon Slayer.
True Dragons can all summon wind and rain, varying in size, unpredictably appearing or disappearing. Adult Giant Dragons are usually around a hundred feet long, and while the Black Dragon they now faced was clearly not a True Dragon and much smaller in form, its momentum was still unstoppable. So, they directly released their Flying Swords, intending to fly away through the air.
However, Shi Feiyang's release of Dan Qi was not as simple as just unleashing a blast of hail. Above the hail were dense, black Yin Clouds, coming down with the hail in a furious bombardment, the inky clouds pressing down, covering a vast expanse of the surrounding waters.
Before they could escape, the two men suddenly felt their Flying Swords seized by a powerful force, and despite urgently casting spells to summon them, the swords were forcibly snatched away.
Shock filled the hearts of the two men. In their panic, one waved his flag, and the other shook his banner, the flag spouting an overwhelming blaze in their faces, and the banner shooting out several strange streams of Green Flame.
But these Green Flame Blazes flew into the pitch-black mist and disappeared like a stone sinking into the sea, gone in an instant. Soon after, the two men felt their bodies tighten; bone-chilling cold came from all directions, instantly binding them, making it impossible to move. Their limbs had already frozen stiff, and waves of cold invaded their hearts and lungs, forcing them to struggle mightily to muster their Effort to counter it.
Shortly thereafter, the black clouds dispersed, revealing the rugged, hard island once more. A Giant Black Dragon's lower body floated in the water, while its upper half towered on the shoreline, conversing with the Colorful Clam.
The Colorful Clam's shell was widely opened, inside was a dazzling orb of light, and within the light appeared a young boy, who bowed in gratitude to the Black Dragon, saying, "I owe my life to Dragon God's rescue this time, or else my fate would have been sealed! For the life-saving grace, I shall repay you greatly in the future!"
