Xin Ru Nun arranged her twenty-one avatars into a circle once again, each forming seals and casting spells, with golden light abounding and Sanskrit chanting echoing, turning the entire sleeping chamber into a Buddhist hall cast in gold.
The Buddha Light they released connected to one another, enveloping Master Ren and Deng Yin, who were dueling at the entrance, within its glow. The Buddha Light swelled like a tide towards the center, and within the flood-like Buddha Light appeared a multitude of blood-red figures – at a glance, there seemed to be millions of them, as though reflected by an infinite number of mirrors.
However, each of these figures moved differently: some darted left and right, some charged aggressively, some tumbled upwards, and some twisted and transformed...
After seeing this, Shi Feiyang was astonished: Xin Ru really deserved to be the peak of Shushan World's combat power!
Now she was even using Deng Yin to attack herself!
Deng Yin, being enveloped by the Buddha Light, would certainly try to break out. Meanwhile, Xin Ru, utilizing the avatars, had constructed this Buddha Country Dharma Realm, a space whose interior dimensions she could twist at will, even altering the flow of time from the outside world. Deng Yin had already created numerous Blood Shadow Avatars; with Xin Ru's additional spellcasting, enhancing magic with Buddhist Law, it was as if the two were combining their powers, allowing Deng Yin to manifest three thousand avatars.
As Deng Yin charged outward to escape, Xin Ru directed all the exits toward Shi Feiyang, and made it so that from Deng Yin's perspective, Shi Feiyang appeared as himself...
At this moment, Deng Yin found himself within a "Buddha Country," where the sky was clear and the breeze gentle. The ground was entirely paved with golden bricks a foot long, and everywhere thrived the Seven Treasures Marvel Trees, with nets of precious treasures and wondrous fragrant blooms hung throughout the woods, bathing the surroundings in brilliance.
Among them were golden Buddhas, under a towering tree in the center, and beneath the tree was a Lotus Platform, upon which sat a middle-aged nun radiating light, resembling Buddha.
Deng Yin knew this world was an illusion. As a Great Demon who had fallen for a thousand years, he had only slaughtered Buddhas, never worshiped them. Seeing such a scene, he intended to charge forward and kill that nun.
That nun was actually Shi Feiyang, and the Bodhi Tree behind him the remnant of Emperor Xuanyuan. These were but illusions shown to him by Xin Ru Nun.
Xin Ru's mana was incredibly high, and these were not mere illusions. An ordinary illusion would not fool a master like Deng Yin.
In the past, a disciple asked Shakyamuni why the Western world of Amitabha Buddha was the Nirvana, so beautiful and sublime, while our Saha World was the Five Turbid Evil World, so sullied, stacked with evil deeds.
Shakyamuni pressed his hand to the ground, showing him the true nature of this world, and the disciple saw that the Saha World was as beautiful as Nirvana.
As the emptiness pervaded and the Dharma was originally pure, all lands were pure land; it was the turbid and evil thoughts of the sentient beings that made the Five Turbid Evil World.
The world created by Xin Ru was partly manifested from her own intention, filled with Buddhas, paved with golden bricks, and populated with marvelous trees. The other part was formed by the thoughts of people within it – knowing that it was Xin Ru who used this environment to trap him, Deng Yin intended to kill Xin Ru to escape the illusion, shaping what he saw as Xin Ru...
Shi Feiyang, being one who had undergone Harmonization and witnessed the essence of the Dao and the true aspect of the world, quickly discerned the subtlety and wonder of this technique, and sincerely expressed his admiration.
But admiration aside, Deng Yin charging at him with intent to kill was a fact. One Deng Yin might have been manageable, but now it felt as though Deng Yin had received Xin Ru's blessing. The two combined forces were something he could not contend with; he had to defend with all his might, first receiving this blow and then looking for a chance to reveal the true nature of this "Buddha Country World" to Deng Yin.
With a single thought, the three clusters of Purple and Blue Divine Flames above his head flared up once again, casting down an abundance of those flames to envelop him. He then raised the Heavenly Mirror aloft, emitting a beam of cyan and gold light for an additional layer of protection; followed by the Nine Golden Flowers and the Hongmeng Purple Qi of the Nine Heavens Yuan Yang Ruler; and lastly, encased by a sword net made of Nine Heavenly Demon Slaying Immortal Swords interspersed with the Pre- and Postnatal Great Five Elements Divine Thunder Net...
With his defenses layered one after the other, wrapping himself up tight, his protection could be considered foolproof.
Just as three thousand Blood Avatars swarmed from all directions, the twenty-one Buddhas also simultaneously struck again, casting twenty-one devastatingly powerful golden Dharma Seals converging towards the center.
And at that moment, suddenly the ground shook and the whole "Buddha Country Pure Land" trembled violently. Loud cracking sounds followed as the "Buddha Country World" fragmented, fissures appearing in the sky bathed in golden light and the golden bricked ground. These cracks grew longer and wider in the blink of an eye, disintegrating and shattering like bubbles in a dream.
The scene reverted back to the Holy Mausoleum, and below, the lids of the nine large cauldrons opened on their own, ejecting a massive flux of light.
In front of the hanging coffin, there had been an altar, a square stone table several feet long, covered with ritual vessels like jars and tripods, which were now all shattered by the dueling forces.
In front of the altar stood nine large cauldrons, arranged side by side.
These Nine Tripods of Emperor Xuanyuan were different from those forged by Yu the Great in later times; Yu's Nine Tripods were used to suppress the fortunes of the Nine States and served as national treasures, while Xuanyuan's were for Alchemy. The Daoist community had the "Yellow Emperor's Nine Cauldrons Divine Pill Scripture," though it was falsely attributed by later generations, its origins could be traced back to these nine cauldrons. Shi Feiyang's fate had started from Dinghu Peak, which was said to be where the Yellow Emperor used the mountain as a cauldron for alchemy.
Shi Feiyang's fortune commenced from Dinghu Peak; now that he had arrived at these Nine Cauldrons, it was also a significant turning point.
