The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 490: Battle of the Blood Godzi vs. Ninjutsu Master

Xin Ru Nun and Master Ren were the most supreme beings in this world; all scheming and trickery were ineffective against them. Even the highest level of Buddha Country Illusion crafted by Xin Ru Nun with all her might was seen through by Shi Feiyang, who didn't fall for it. Generally, everyone could only engage in overt strategies because ordinary Flying Sword Magical Treasures, Spells, and Technique Formations were of little use in front of them.

The Array that Shi Feiyang had arranged on Qiao Mountain could block others, but they could easily pass through it. Of the treasures she possessed, only a few could be used; the rest, if deployed, would either be effortlessly taken by them or easily broken through.

In the original text, Divine Camel Yi Xiu had a powerful Magical Treasure called Black Dragon Scissors, which was casually taken away by Master You Tan. Afterward, feeling humiliated by having his treasure taken, Yi Xiu found it shameful to use it again, so he gave it to Situ Ping.

These monks and nuns themselves hardly used Flying Sword Magical Treasures; they only employed Buddha Light because ordinary Flying Sword Magical Treasures were useless to them and merely a burden. They could effortlessly snatch such treasures from others.

Take Master Ren, for example, whose physical body was still that of a woman and had not yet reincarnated. She first cultivated her Primordial Spirit into her husband's form. She typically appears as a low-browed Bodhisattva, even converting tigers to vegetarianism.

However, when she took action, she performed the Vajra Angry Eyes without the need for any Magical Treasure; she merely relied on the Buddha Light that she had shaped from the Wisdom and Meditation she had cultivated over a thousand years. This was even more formidable than any worldly treasure. With a single pestle strike, it was heavier than mountains, even warping space.

If it were another Evil Demon struck by her pestle, they would have had their soul scattered and body and soul destroyed on the spot.

Deng Yin cultivated the Blood Shadow Divine Skill, turning his entire body into pools of deep red blood light, staining the nearby Buddha Light with large swaths of bloody hue. When Master Ren retracted her Demon-Subduing Pestle, the blood light automatically converged, reforming into human shape.

This beating was not a light one for Deng Yin, but it didn't cause him any substantial harm. Enraged, he hadn't suffered such a thuggish beating in many years!

Master Ren didn't care whether the Evil Demon was angry or not and ruthlessly brought down her pestle a second time.

Such Buddhist Vajra powerful Demon-suppressing skills, when wielded by a supreme expert like Master Ren, could destroy anything. Demon Path Skills stood no chance against them. Deng Yin swayed his body, surged upward, split into three parts, and merged into the Blood Flames above his head. His entire being vanished into thin air, leaving behind only three heart-like pulsating Blood Flames.

The Blood Flames tried to escape in different directions, but Master Ren's Mana was too high, and she locked all three Blood Flames in place. The Demon-Subduing Pestle came down again, flattening them completely.

This time the effect was not a scattering of reddish light but a direct splattering of blood everywhere, as if a dam's gates had burst open. The blood surged tumultuously from out of nowhere, crashing towards Master Ren.

Master Ren sneered, "Evil Demon magic, daring to show off in front of me!"

She released the Formless Buddha Light forward, holding back the Blood River, and it swiftly became a giant golden bowl, containing the Blood River within. As the blood water kept rising, she allowed the rim of the "golden bowl" to rise as well, sealing the top and forming a huge Formless Buddha Light Golden Ball, sealing all the blood water inside.

The blood water continued to expand, but the Buddha Light Golden Ball compressed forcefully inward.

Both forces competed in Mana head-on.

Ultimately, Master Ren's Mana was still higher than Deng Yin's. After all, Deng Yin had been a prisoner for more than three hundred years, and before being imprisoned at the bottom of the Star Constellation Sea, he had suffered consecutive heavy defeats, especially the brutal beating by his elder martial brother. He couldn't match her when it came to genuine skills.

After a brief standoff, the blood water lost its momentum, no longer expanding but contracting inward.

Master Ren controlled the Buddha Light Golden Ball to continually shrink until it was the size of a basin, with the blood water inside reduced to many rice-grain-sized Blood Pearls, spraying and rolling about chaotically.

She laughed and said, "Within my Formless Buddha Light Golden Ball, no matter what tricks you try, you cannot escape. I will destroy you, this demon, first and then deal with the other."

Master Ren brought her palms together and transformed the Dharma Seal, causing the inside of the Golden Ball to suddenly ignite with golden Buddha Fire. The fire burned intensely; the Blood Pearls inside rolled and popped chaotically, exploding like popcorn and disintegrating into blood vapor which the Buddha Fire then burned into white smoke, refining the white smoke completely into nothingness.

In an instant, not a trace of blood vapor remained. Master Ren dissolved the Buddha Light spell ball and, feeling content, had easily eliminated a world-shaking demon, dealing with a potential future threat...

But before she could fully process the thought, a sudden unease struck her, and she urgently brought her palms together, unleashing the powerful Great Sumeru Unmoving Venerable Skill.

Robust Buddha Light burst forth from within her, instantly forming a huge Golden Buddha that completely enveloped her.

This Golden Buddha was formed from the Great Sumeru Buddha Light, unmovable and unshaken, invulnerable to wind and thunder, and impenetrable to All Techniques. She used this spell to seal the Little Han Mountain, where not a blade of grass or tree could be moved by outsiders, and a single grain of sand weighed as much as a mountain. She had cultivated Buddhism in seclusion on Little Han Mountain for several hundred years. At first, a few Evil Demons caused trouble but later learned to fear her; her reputation spread far and wide, and no one dared disturb her peace again.

Once she used this technique, she was invincible. Even the Heavenly Tribulations that the Iron Umbrella Daoist, Shi Longgu, or even herself had encountered while practicing swordsmanship in the Star Constellation Sea, whether it was Thunder Tribulation, Fire Tribulation, or even the subsequent Demon Tribulation, could not harm her at all!

With this technique, she believed that she was impervious to all evils and could finally relax slightly. However, right behind her, a figure, as if pulled from blood, hung suspended in the air, its features indistinct, just a dark red Blood Shadow with long hair dripping blood strand by strand.

The Blood Shadow was not outside the Golden Buddha but inside it, less than half a foot from her back, seemingly a footstep away from her bald head.

Master Ren did not turn around, but she immediately sensed the presence of the Blood Shadow. With a chill in her heart, she urgently recited the Buddha's name and cast a spell. A layer of golden Buddha Fire erupted on the surface of the Blood Shadow, the flames like oil, completely engulfing the Blood Shadow and burning it intensely.

Blood Shadow was burned terribly but smiled eerily, leaping forward and burrowing into Master Ren's body from behind.

Normally, if someone else was invaded by the Blood God Child in such a manner they'd be immediately forced to relinquish their Primordial Spirit Essence Blood, and their body and flesh would be overtaken, resulting in a violent death.

Master Ren, however, was different, possessing Buddha Light within her body for protection and her Primordial Spirit had already attained the form of a husband, embodying a Dharma Protector Bodhisattva, like the Vajra Vihara. She swung the Demon-Subduing Pestle ferociously at the intruding Deng Yin.

Initially, Deng Yin aimed to merge with Master Ren's physical body and seize control of her shell, but when met head-on with the pestle, he nearly got smacked right out. Unwilling to accept defeat, he shrank into a cluster of Blood Shadow and dove into Master Ren's Mud Ball Palace, intent on draining her Primordial Spirit. There, her Primordial Spirit, radiating golden light, furiously hammered away with the Demon-Subduing Pestle, slamming and bashing Deng Yin, who couldn't withstand the assault and had to flee the Mud Ball Palace. He dispersed into three wisps of blood energy, traveling along the blood vessels, leaving the head to penetrate the heart aperture, lung aperture, kidney aperture, absorbing her Five Internal Organs Primordial Qi. In an instant, Master Ren's appearance withered, aging rapidly. She was originally a fair-skinned, flawless nun, but now she became as thin as kindling, her face lined with wrinkles...

Master Ren swiftly spread Buddha Fire throughout her body, protecting her vital organs and burned Deng Yin, who cried out in pain and was forcibly expelled from the apertures of the organs.

Refusing to leave, Deng Yin roamed within Master Ren's body. With her hands in Sealing, she gathered Buddha Light inside her body, forming the Vajra Embryo Realm. In a flash, her heart, liver, spleen, and lungs all vanished, entering a "Void Storage" state. In this "emptiness," she created a world and forcibly trapped Deng Yin within it.

Her Dharma Realm, indestructible as Vajra, saw Deng Yin shift into nine Blood Shadows that tried to burrow everywhere in vain.

He then stood in the void, laughing heartily, and with a shake of his body, transformed into the likeness of Xie Shan...

He wasn't actually capable of transformation, but inside Master Ren's body, he utilised the highest Great Technique of the Demon Path from the "Blood God Scripture," reflecting her inner fixation into form. It was merely a Demon Shadow, but it appeared as though he had transformed into Xie Shan.

This "Xie Shan" was handsome, debonair, gentle as jade, and spoke directly to Master Ren by her intimate name...

"You think such illusions, the last resort of a desperate demon, can deceive me?" Master Ren began to summon a vast array of Buddha Fire within the "Dharma Realm," commencing the incineration of Deng Yin.

Deng Yin stood amid the flames, neither dodging nor blocking, allowing the blaze to consume him while he began to bleed profusely from his seven orifices...

Watching "Xie Shan" bleed from every orifice, he then turned his blood-soaked body towards Master Ren and said, "Do you really intend to kill me? What about our love spanning three lifetimes…"

Master Ren remained unmoved, knowing it was an illusion—how could she care?

Seeing this, Deng Yin understood that this tough nun could not be fooled with falsehoods, so he had to resort to reality. Thereupon, the illusory Xie Shan removed his clothing, sliced open the skin on his shoulder, and forcefully peeled off the flesh. Then he cut open his chest and yanked the skin downward.

In an instant, he stripped off all his skin, even that on his face along with his hair, leaving behind nothing but a bloodied, fleshly form. Streaming tears of blood, he mockingly smiled at Master Ren, "Do you think, this vision—real or fake?"

At the stir of her heart, Master Ren knew this was not merely a fantasy but a premonition of the future!

Deng Yin would escape from here, seeking vengeance on her by seizing Xie Shan's body, then controlling him to flay his own skin and cultivate the "Blood God Scripture" using Golden Needle Piercing.

It was during his time sipping tea with Gongye Huang that Deng Yin had conceived the idea of practicing the "Blood God Scripture" anew after seizing someone's body.

The "Blood God Scripture" was divided into good and evil volumes. The good volume, which contained a horde of demons actively engaging in all sorts of erotic imagery, lacked content on skin-flaying cultivation practices. It was destroyed by True Master Changmei and transformed into the Hua Bi Pearl, taken from the Stone God Palace and passed to the Mad Monk, thereafter disappearing without a trace. Despite his efforts, Deng Yin could not deduce its whereabouts.

The version he possessed was the evil volume, filled with descriptions of vicious and cruel Demon Path techniques. Although the spells were potent, without the good volume as a foundation, their full might couldn't be unleashed. After years of contemplation and cultivation using the Nine Heavens Mysterious Scripture as a base, the conflicting practices hindered his progress. He had hit the highest boundary and could ascend no further, left only to count his years and accumulate mana.

Thus, he contrived a method to advance further: an additional body, not one to drain of flesh and blood, but to fully integrate with his own, then to flay and refine once more... Each iteration would raise him higher, gradually engendering a qualitative change, breaking through the current bottleneck, and even achieving true immortality!

He knew Xie Shan was his nemesis, especially with the Heart Lamp Flower Lamp in his possession, so he had long resolved to kill Xie Shan. Now, through magic, he stirred Master Ren's attachment. The Demon Light's reflection spontaneously constructed this scenario—not a hallucination that Deng Yin could fabricate, but Master Ren's premonition of Xie Shan's impending fate!

What was false wasn't frightening; the truth was terrifying!

Master Ren was now truly disturbed, her serene Buddhist heart ruffled. She couldn't accept Xie Shan meeting such a fate!

But she knew, if Deng Yin escaped today, he would indeed kill Xie Shan, then use his body to cultivate the "Blood God Scripture"!

Her heart wavered and immediately, the Vajra Embryo Realm began to fissure. Though only a hairline crack, invisible to the naked eye, fleeting in the void, Deng Yin caught it with keen sensitivity.

With a piercing howl, he transformed into a Blood Shadow and soared away, faster than lightning, slipping through the crack in an instant!

The organs like the heart, liver, spleen, and lungs that had disappeared into the void, along with the muscles and bones, reappeared, accompanied by a familiar stench of blood.

Deng Yin once again divided into nine Blood Shadows, targeting these organs, devouring Essence Energy and Divine Blood: "Old thieving nun, today I'll snatch your shell first and refine the Blood Shadow Divine Skill! It's been over three hundred years! I shall repeat the process... With your Arhat Dharma Body cultivated into Blood Shadow, it will surely be far more powerful, imbued with many wondrous effects."
