Buddhism has many Buddha Countries Pure Land achieved by a sect hierarch leading his faithful disciples, the most famous being Nirvana.
According to Buddhist teachings, the current Saha World is the Five Turbid Evil World. Sect Hierarch Shakyamuni has already passed into extinction, and we must wait for the next hierarch, Maitreya Bodhisattva, to descend from the Tushita Inner Court and achieve Buddhahood. During this interval, it is a No Buddha World. The Buddhist Law is progressing from the Image Dharma towards the End of Dharma and then towards Dharma Destruction. In this period, it is very difficult to achieve success in practicing Buddhism due to the prevalence of evil connections and setbacks.
Therefore, the Pure Land Sect is widely practiced, where everyone recites the name of Buddha through the most convenient techniques, using one thought to suppress ten thousand thoughts, to first go to Nirvana.
Reaching Nirvana is not the endpoint; Nirvana is still within the Righteous Dharma Era because Amitabha Buddha is currently preaching there, and also Guanyin Bodhisattva and Mahasthamaprapta are present to learn from face-to-face.
After learning, one must return to deliver and transform those "enemies and debtors" who were karmically connected to oneself, akin to attending a better university and finding the three top mentors...
Shushan World has also been achieved in this manner, born from the Will Power and Telekinesis of countless "believers" within the void of the Dao, and as more people undergo "rebirth" over the years, the world becomes more and more a tangible reality, with its internal space and time continuously expanding, and the energy contained within it growing ever higher.
Compared to this, Earth exists in the "Mortal Land", comprised of physical mortal bodies. Both the Shushan World and Nirvana are "land where the common and the sacred coexist," inhabited by both spell-casters and ordinary people; of course, the entry requirement for Nirvana is higher, necessitating a certain level of cultivation before one can proceed.
Shi Feiyang, with his Daoist heart, observed that Deng Yin only had his Second Primordial Spirit descend into the "Mortal Land," his Divine Power not only restricted but also continuously depleting over time until he, too, would become an ordinary person.
After threatening Deng Yin, he then persuaded him, "Didn't you calculate that in the end, it's definitely me who will release you from the Star Constellations Sea? You just need to wait; why insist on making this so unpleasant? Holding a grudge against me is of no benefit to you."
Reflecting on numerous past calculations, Deng Yin indeed confirmed that every result showed it would ultimately be Shi Feiyang who would release him and also help him break his senior brother's prophecy.
His current situation was indeed dire, and he truly did not wish to become an enemy of Shi Feiyang. Finally, he sighed deeply, "Alright, I'll just wait here!"
Of course, he wouldn't wait quietly and obediently; he still planned to exhaust all methods, hoping to free himself from the Liangyi Dust Formation by his own power.
Shi Feiyang knew he would not just wait, and upon exiting the Meditative State, immediately sought out Gongye Huang and shared the matter, "Now, the only one who can stop Deng Yin and save the countless beings of that world is you, Daoist friend! If you agree, I will immediately employ a better method to help you refine the yin residue and achieve Pure Yang, so you can ascend."
Gongye Huang stroked his beard silently contemplating, remaining mute.
This was truly a difficult decision for him, as people usually cultivated towards ascending to a higher Spiritual Immortal Realm. He had devoted a millennium of cultivation for such an achievement, yet Shi Feiyang was persuading him to go to another, lesser Mortal World. To put it nicely, it was ascension; to put it less kindly, it was almost like exile...
Shi Feiyang explained to him, "I know it's difficult for you, Daoist friend, but truthfully, what's so great about the Spiritual Immortal Realm? Once there, you must accept the Heavenly Emperor's Decree and be bound by clergy constraints, no longer able to roam freely. Under the heavens, including many from the Righteous Path of the Mysterious Sect, if there weren't the requirement for Daoist Independent Immortals to undergo the three-nine tribulations every five hundred years, and if the Earth Immortals weren't mandated to endure the thirteen-hundred-year celestial cataclysm, how many would willingly ascend?
Who doesn't want to continue their tranquil and carefree life on Earth? By going there, Daoist friend, you avoid three major advantages:irst, you would avoid the imminent celestial cataclysm of this realm; second, that place also connects to the Immortal Realm, and once the matter of Xueshenzi is resolved, you can still ascend to the Immortal Realms; third, if Daoist friend agrees, I can transmit my Three Emperors Dao to you, and you can save countless creatures and gain immense merits.
Now, if you ascend to the Spiritual Immortal Realm, you'll be just another ordinary Heavenly God with no familial seniors to protect you, subject to others' commands. If you follow my suggestion, not only can you shift from an inferior path to the Righteous Path of the Mysterious Sect, relying on the merits from saving countless creatures to ascend, but you will surely become an Emperor who can establish his own court! I estimate that you will definitely rank above the Four Great Marshals: Wen, Ma, Guan, and Zhao, and even surpass the Four Great Heavenly Masters!"
Shi Feiyang painted a grand vision for Gongye Huang, but spoke nothing but the truth, without a hint of falsehood.
In the Shushan World, many immortals do not wish to ascend; more than one person has stated in the original texts that after ascending to the heavens, while escaping the thirteen-hundred-year celestial cataclysm, they would be bound by clergy constraints, losing their freedom, which leaves almost no one wanting to ascend if they can stay on the ground.
The most typical case is Master Chi Zhang, whose disciples are all at the level of Heavenly Immortals, and his grand-disciples at the level of Earth Immortals.
Since he had an old partner, Lady Chi Zhang, who wasn't a celibate and required a bodily sanctification to ascend as a Golden Immortal, he would have to undergo one more tribulation.
With his abilities, reincarnation and achieving enlightenment in the next life would be easy – only taking a dozen or so years – but he was unwilling, preferring to lead a carefree life with his whole family at the Immortal Mansion in Tianpeng Mountain.
There are also many who, for their lovers, are unwilling to ascend, choosing instead to eternally stay together, the most famous being Ji Nan, followed by Qi Jincan and others.
