The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 262: 257 Spirit Stone Rhinoceros

The Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor had long heard of the great reputation of the "Chi You Three Disks Scripture." He had casually flipped through a few pages earlier and knew it was a cultivation secret manual. It didn't significantly exceed his own knowledge, but when he suddenly heard that it contained the Primordial Spirit of Chi You from ancient times, his eyes lit up immediately, "Is that really so?"

With definite confirmation, the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor's face lit up with joy. If he used Chi You's Primordial Spirit to refine the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword, it would be much stronger than using the one from Red Cloud!

Shi Feiyang said, "It is not the entirety of Chi You's Primordial Spirit, only a part. I wanted to make that clear to you in advance."

The Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor said, "I feel an instant connection with you, my friend. Even if it weren't for the scriptures, I would have wanted to teach you the Sword Refining Technique of the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword!"

In his view, as long as Shi Feiyang refined the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword, the Qingcheng Sect would inevitably break ties with him. He already had a deep grudge with the Emei Sect, and at that time, it would certainly be a significant help against the Emei.

The Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword was indeed very precious. Till this day, not a single one existed in the world. However, it was the sword that was refined that was valuable, not the method of refining it. Between the method and the sword, there was a great distance, and eighty-one great trials to overcome... This was Xu Feiniang's analysis to him. He had not thought so in the past, but after the second swordfight, he began to feel there was some truth to it.

He took out several jade scrolls, which recorded the Sword Refining Technique and the "Chi You Three Disks Scripture," then handed the scriptures over to the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor: "Chi You's Primordial Spirit was suppressed by me using three Pure Yang Golden Flowers. After you take the scripture back and cast a spell to release the seal, the Golden Flowers will automatically fly back to me."

The Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor joyfully took the scriptures.

Then Shi Feiyang prepared to leave. Before parting, the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor invited him to visit Wutai Mountain when he had the time in the future.

However, Shi Feiyang did not want to get too entangled with them. He did not approve of the actions and style of the people from the Wutai Sect. Should he encounter another like Yue Qinyin in the future, he would still draw his sword to eliminate them.

In fact, the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor considered him a significant help for opposing the Emei in the future and was willing to actively offer him the Sword Refining Technique of the Heavenly Demon Immortal Slaying Sword. He gave the other party the "Chi You Three Disks Scripture" with the same intention. The Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor held an irreconcilable enmity with the Emei Sect, greater than his own. As his powers swelled, his first target would be the Emei Sect.

During the second swordfight, Qi Shuming couldn't defeat the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor. Upon reincarnation and returning with his strength rapidly improved, even surpassing that of Xuan Zhenzi, he went to visit Elder Kuzhu at Great Wilderness Mountain. It so happened that Elder Kuzhu was not at home, and he easily broke the Array protecting Elder Kuzhu's Dharma Body. After entering, he saw that Elder Kuzhu's spirit was wandering, so he left a message and then floated away.

The Wutai Sect also made progress. Fifty years later, Xu Feiniang was publicly recognized as surpassing the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor at the time of the second swordfight. This progress was not insignificant, but compared with the Emei Sect, it was still far too little. Now with the "He Sha Book" and "Chi You Three Disks Scripture," they might be able to catch up to the other's advancement.

Of course, they might also directly deviate and self-combust into sand, or possibly due to too many misdeeds, face a premature Heavenly Tribulation and Punishment...

In the end, one can plan all they want, but success is in the hands of heaven!

Shi Feiyang bid farewell to the Taiyin Hunyuan Ancestor and asked Yang Xu and the other two, "Junior Brother Jiang has already returned to Golden Whip Cliff on Qingcheng Mountain to cultivate in seclusion. Are you going to continue traveling, or go back to see him?"

The three of them glanced at each other for a moment, and finally, the eldest senior brother Yang Xu said, "Our master had sternly ordered us not to look for him and to wait for him to regain his past life's memories and come back to find us."

Shi Feiyang smiled, Jiang Shu's arrangement was initially not wrong, but now that he had become involved, adding many variables, the situation had changed from before, "You need not be concerned about this. If you wish to return to your master's side, I can write a letter for you to bring back to him. He will surely not blame you, and then you can continue to cultivate near the Sichuan-Yunnan region just the same."

The three hesitated for a moment but were still reluctant to defy their master's commands, deciding not to return to Qingcheng Mountain and to continue with the original plan.

Well, that was characteristic of a Mysterious Sect.

He left Red Cloud Valley alone and returned to Xianxia Ridge.

Next, he planned to find a place to properly cultivate the "He Sha Book" and "Chi You Three Disks Scripture."

After all, Ni Fangxian was Li Jingxu's lover or, in other words, consort. It was not proper for him to reside there all year round, so he too bade farewell. Taking the beauty snake, Ganoderma Immortal, and the one-horned divine lin, he left Xianxia Ridge and headed west.

Because he wanted to ponder the "Chi You Three Disks Scripture," he did not return to Qingcheng Mountain but headed towards the mountains near Kunming in Yunnan.

Shi Feiyang quickly found Huo Wuhai.

He had asked Huo Wuhai to come here to find Heavenly Silkworm Ridge to gather the millennia-old Sky Blue and Taiyin Essence, and to capture the scriptural spiders here.

Huo Wuhai had already arrived. Since it was not yet the right time to unearth the scriptural spiders due to the climate conditions, he settled temporarily by establishing a cave dwelling on Heavenly Silkworm Ridge.

Huo Wuhai had already found the stone containing the millennia-old Sky Blue and Taiyin Essence. Upon seeing Shi Feiyang's arrival, he immediately presented them.

Both items were nurtured for countless years within the big rock, drawing from the earth's energy. The millennia-old Sky Blue was a spiritual stone milk, which would rapidly evaporate upon contact with air, disappearing in an instant. It could be directly consumed to improve a person's physique and root bone, detoxify and nourish essence, and aid the Primordial Spirit.

But to drink it directly would be too much of a waste. When used in medicinal preparations, it could forge Spiritual Medicines that replenish the Innate and heal broken bodies.

Inside the Spirit Stone were two cavities, one containing the age-old Empty Azure, and the other harboring Taiyin Essence.

Taiyin Essence is also a spiritual object nurtured by heaven and earth. What's most precious is that the one here had actually formed a shape, resembling a little silver rhinoceros. Shi Feiyang and Huo Wuhai, with their penetrating vision, could clearly see the living creature inside, coiled up and resting. When it felt the Spirit Stone tremble, the little rhino got up and sniffed around curiously.

If this object were taken out directly, upon contact with air it would solidify into a stone statue, ending up as a carved piece of art. Although it would have some uses, it would lose its vitality.

Shi Feiyang first brought out a small gourd, had Huo Wuhai ready, and then used a sword to stab a hole in the stone, from which the age-old Empty Azure spouted forth.

Huo Wuhai immediately sealed it with a Spell, preventing any of it from dissipating. He channeled all of it into the gourd and sealed it up.

Then, Shi Feiyang proceeded to extract the small ox within the stone.

If likened to humans, before birth is Innate, and after birth is Acquired. Once one leaves the womb and the umbilical cord, shifting from breathing through it to using their own lungs, their first cry marks their entrance into the Acquired realm.

This little ox was equivalent to being inside its nurturing Spirit Stone womb. However, its constitution was special, incapable of surviving in the natural world. Once it entered the Acquired realm and lost its vitality, it would become a "dead fetus," leaving only a rigid shell of a corpse.

To allow it to continue living after leaving its mother, two methods existed. One was to create a special protective layer on its body surface to isolate the air. However, this meant it would never be able to grow further, equivalent to always living inside the mother's body, requiring careful guardianship, for any "leak" would result in instant death.

The other method was to connect the Acquired to the Innate, allowing it a smooth birth and the capacity to survive in the natural world—like enabling a fetus, which otherwise couldn't survive, to develop healthily. Compared to the former method, the difficulty was as different as heaven and earth.

Shi Feiyang chose the second method. He set up an Array in the cave, took some Five-Colored Divine Sand he had refined during the casting of mountains and rivers on Outer Heaven Divine Mountain. This sand derived from the Star Debris of the Heavenly Stars, which he had repeatedly refined, keeping only the best.

He poured the Crystal Sand into a Dharma Platform with a concave top, shaped like a bowl, connected to the veins of the earth below, inviting the dragon energy of the great mountain inside. Then, he placed the entire Spirit Stone on it.

He filled it with True Water, completely immersing the rock, adding some Yin Yang Creation Spirit Glue into the mix.

With such layer upon layer of arrangements and seals, he then proceeded to break open the Spirit Stone.

The stone shell split and was taken out, while the silver rhino fell into the True Water. Shi Feiyang immediately forced three drops of Essence Blood from his fingertip and flicked them in, then cast a Spell to protect its spirit.

The little rhinoceros absorbed his Acquired Dragon Blood and was nourished by the True Water and Spirit Glue in its entirety. It retained its spirit and swam curiously under water, examining its surroundings.

Shi Feiyang let out a slight sigh of relief. With this first step secured, he had succeeded halfway.

Next, he took out a clean bottle containing the Five Elements Essence and had Huo Wuhai assist. First, they introduced Earth Essence Qi.

The little ox, born of earth, immediately opened its mouth to catch the Earth Essence Qi and swallowed it, waiting to digest before having Huo Wuhai introduce another form of Earth Essence Qi.

Earth was its foundation. Once it completely absorbed the Earth Qi and secured its foundation, Huo Wuhai sequentially introduced Water, Fire, Metal, and Wood Essence Qi. With the Five Elements in place, Shi Feiyang continuously cast Spells, fine-tuning the ox's body according to the ingenious interplay of elements.

After a day and a night, Shi Feiyang ceased his efforts. The little ox now looked neither like stone nor jade, its body shining with silver light. On top of that silver glow, it acquired an additional luster of five colors. Its eyes were like jade, and the rest, including its horns, were silver-white, continuously playing in the water. It swam up from the bottom to the surface, lifted its snout, and softly called out to Shi Feiyang as an infant would to its parents.

The little creature's body was not yet fully grown; it could not come into contact with humans and had to continue in the water for another eighty-one days before it could emerge and live freely.

Throughout the process of casting his spells, Shi Feiyang had the Beauty Python and the Unicorn Divine Lin driven out of the cave, to prevent them from gobbling up the stone rhino if they couldn't resist its allure.

If a pet steals food, the blame doesn't lie with the pet, but with the owner. Pets are ignorant; owners must anticipate every aspect. Knowing their nature, Shi Feiyang did not give them any opportunity.

Similarly, the Ganoderma Immortal and Zhi Ma were allowed to stay inside the cave, witnessing the entire birth process of the stone rhino. Zhi Ma, with lower awareness, remained indifferent, but Ganoderma Immortal, deeply envious, perched at the edge of the Dharma Platform, occasionally sipping water from it to quench his thirst.

Shi Feiyang then gave him a drop of True Water, condensed into a pea-sized droplet with a spell, for him to swallow and slowly assimilate.

With a different physique from Mo Zhui and the others, Shi Feiyang created a Cultivation Technique specifically suited for Ganoderma Immortal, a fleshly Lingzhi. Combined with True Water, he should cultivate diligently, and in time, he would forge his Lifebound Embryo and could also become a Daoist practitioner.

For plant spirits like him, compared to humans, cultivation is much harder with a very low success rate. However, the difficulties are different.

Having followed Shi Feiyang, Ganoderma Immortal no longer had to fear being eaten by wild animals. With his ten thousand years of Dao Level, his foundational work was solid, his very essence a Spiritual Medicine bathed in the essence of the sun and moon, absorbing the Spiritual Energy of heaven and earth. His future cultivation would be swift, and as long as Shi Feiyang, his "Guardian Beast," remained unvanquished, he would be safe and sound until he ascended to the Yang God... or at least became an Earth Immortal.
