The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 218: 216 Lotus desires to trim the three flowers

The sun was already three poles high, its light bright and splendid. Shi Feiyang counted the people gathered and noticed Yu Xiao, Huo Renyu, and Sikong Zhan's niece, Fang Yuhuan, were missing. Shi Feiyang declared, "Those two acted on their own, they must have encountered some calamity, but for now, we needn't concern ourselves with them!"

He pointed with the Nine Heavens Yuan Yang Ruler and waved it, sending out a thousand-zhang Hongmeng Purple Qi that turned into a cluster of purple clouds, cradling everyone and lifting them off the ground. They sped off like lightning towards Buddha Light Mountain in the Himalayas.

After some time, they arrived at Buddha Light Mountain, only to see snow-capped peaks as far as the eye could see. Steep mountains all around were covered with ice and snow, but Buddha Light Mountain itself was shielded from the cold wave by the surrounding peaks. The warm earth's breath rose from the west, causing the southern slope and the valley below to be shaded with green trees and covered with fragrant grass.

Atop this very Buddha Light Mountain, there was a cluster of buildings at the peak and on all four sides, with a stone path leading from the temple at the summit down to the Four Demon Kings' palace at the middle of the mountain and further down into the valley.

There were also numerous structures in the valley. One Light Master lived in the Daoli Heavenly Palace at the peak, his direct disciples resided in the Demon Kings' palaces on the mountainside, and the laypeople who served the Buddha lived in the valley below.

There were no gateways leading out of the valley, making it difficult for mortals and even birds and monkeys to leave; ingress and egress depended entirely on the flying Buddhas who would ferry them across.

Therefore, from the very top, the Mysterious Law Zhuanlun Temple appeared with the Daoli Heavenly Palace at the heart of the wheel, and the Four Demon Kings' palaces below forming the wheel's rim—the origin of its name.

The real gate of the mountain was not at the bottom of the valley but in front of the Southern Heart Demon King's palace.

Shi Feiyang led the people from the north, and from a great distance, they could see lights everywhere on the mountain. Tree lamps, towering several zhang high and made of gold, silver, copper, iron, and all sorts of materials, could be seen everywhere, inlaid with seven treasures, forming a forest of marvelous trees, their brilliance filling the eyes. The connecting light energy from each lamp mingled together to form the Tathagata Golden Lamp Formation, enveloping the whole Buddha Light Mountain.

Some exclaimed, "This does bear some resemblance to the Buddhist Sumeru Mountain!"

Shi Feiyang did not take the proper route through the South Mountain gate but headed straight for the highest point on the peak—the Daoli Heavenly Palace. The acres-wide expanse of purple cloud laid out flat and floated above the palace.

From his high vantage, he called out clearly, "Old Demon One Light, didn't you brag and challenge me to come find you? Well, here I am. There's no need to hide like a coward in your mountain, come out and face me in a one-on-one duel, let's determine the victor once and for all. It will save the countless beings of your mountain from suffering alongside you and stop you from creating a sea of killing karma."

No sooner had he finished shouting than a great expanse of golden light emerged from the massive complex of the Daoli Heavenly Palace below, converging into a cloud of golden light that rose upwards.

Within the light cloud, numerous golden lotus platforms manifested, each with a Demon Monk seated solemnly upon it.

On the largest lotus platform, which was over thirty zhang in diameter, the layers of lotus petals were in full bloom, with each petal emanating light. The radiance mingled into a single golden banner, and in the middle sat an old monk with white beard and eyebrows, his complexion rosy and delicate, his face exuding kindness. He sat in a full lotus position, his body surrounded by a bright treasure light.

There were over thirty more lotus platforms, about ten zhang in diameter, each one housing a "Golden Arhat," all revolving around the old monk, flanked like geese in formation.

The golden light cloud surged into the sky, carrying these Demon Monks up to the same height as the purple cloud.

The old monk was naturally One Light Master, clothed in a kasaya rimmed with gold and silver and dotted with seven treasures with a Vihara crown upon his head.

The crown was divided into six layers, like a tower, with the lowest layer circled with twelve seated Golden Buddhas. The second layer held nine Golden Buddhas, the third six, the fourth three, and the fifth had two. At the very top sat the largest Golden Buddha with his left hand pointing to the sky and the right hand to the earth, his radiance the most resplendent.

One Light Master, seated upon the lotus platform, berated Shi Feiyang, "You scaly, horned beast! Ignorant of heaven's height and earth's breadth, ceaselessly killing my disciples, today I shall capture you, cast you back into the Beast Path, and have you reincarnated as a pest or ant, forbidding you from transcendence for a thousand lifetimes!"

Shi Feiyang smiled and was not angered, "Old Demon, the Heavenly Punishment is near, and you still dare to spout such madness! I'm well aware of your plans but I'll not let them come to fruition. I will let you first suffer the Human Tribulation, then the Heavenly Punishment, and we'll see how many lifetimes you will need before you can transcend again."

One Light Master, hit in a sore point, angrily formed hand seals and started casting a spell, condensing a mu-wide Golden Light Giant Hand in the sky, reaching down to grab Shi Feiyang's head.

The hand was purely assembled from golden light, as if cast from gold itself, with its surface also emitting golden Demonic Flame, its momentum utterly astounding.

Shi Feiyang waved the Nine Heavens Yuan Yang Ruler, creating a golden flower that held up in the air.

The Golden Light Giant Hand struggled fiercely to crush the golden flower, which rotated leisurely and emitted bountiful golden light, propping against the Demon Claw and preventing it from closing.

One Light Master sent True Qi with his finger seals, causing flames to spout wildly from the surface of the Demon Claw, a large amount of Demonic Flame enveloping the golden flower, intending to refine it. However, the Nine Heavens Yuan Yang Ruler was precisely for Demon Refinement; the Pure Yang Golden Flower on it specialized in subduing all Evil Demons. As soon as the Demon Fire drew near, illuminated by the golden flower's light energy, it immediately dissipated.

One Light Master, seeing that his Demon Claw had failed, summoned a Treasure Bead and hurled it towards Shi Feiyang.

Shi Feiyang waved his treasure ruler, producing a second Golden Flower to support the Treasure Bead, allowing it to roll from side to side, yet unable to fall.

One Light Master then summoned a Golden Wheel, which flew into the air and spun rapidly, emitting ten thousand rays of light and a thousand streaks of Demonic Flame.

Shi Feiyang released a third Golden Flower to hold it up, preventing the Golden Wheel from descending as well.

One Light Master, enraged, flipped his left hand, revealing a Golden Lamp in his palm—this was his most powerful Magical Treasure, and his Dharma name originated from this item.

With the lamp in his left hand, he gave it a gentle shake while forming a mantra with his right hand and pointing towards Shi Feiyang's side, releasing thousands of sparks from the lamp. These transformed into a sky full of golden stars, raining down an attack not only on Shi Feiyang but also enveloping everyone around him, with an average of over a hundred stars each.

Deng Bagu urgently warned, "Everyone be careful, don't let the lamp fire get close to you!"

"With your teacher here, there's no need to panic," Shi Feiyang said as he brandished the treasure ruler and an expanse of Hongmeng Purple Qi rose from the ground, blocking all the lamp fire.

As the lamp fire collided with the Purple Qi, it danced and burned, continually striking the purple barrier. Those with keen eyesight could see that within each flame sat a Golden Buddha, emitting light non-stop.

One Light Master shook the Golden Lamp continuously, releasing several thousand more sparks, yet all were stopped by the Hongmeng Purple Qi, unable to advance an inch.

He sneered, "You are so proud of having this treasure from ancient Immortals, specialized in Demon Refinement, that you think I can't touch you?"

As he spoke, a flash of golden light enveloped him and he vanished into thin air, his Lotus Platform taking flight.

Inside their sect's Lotus Platforms, there were no lotus seeds; the shape was more akin to a flattened animal nest. Now, as it took to the air and moved towards Shi Feiyang, the thousands of lotus petals moved in unison, spewing out a large amount of sticky smoke. Filament after filament, akin to the finest dust web, swirled with the surging golden light towards Shi Feiyang.

Everyone smelled a cloyingly sweet odor. Jiang Shu, Deng Bagu, Huo Wuhai, and others felt a disgusting stench overwhelming them, while the rest found it quite pleasant and couldn't help but want to inhale deeply, even subconsciously drawing it towards their Dantian.

Seeing this, Shi Feiyang frowned deeply. Having encountered such a Magical Treasure before at Chuandeng Monk's, he knew it was specialized in corroding the three treasures of Essence, Energy, and Spirit of a person. The Essence, Energy, and Spirit are condensed into the three flowers on a cultivator's head. Thus, while the Yuan Yang Ruler was invulnerable to all evil and capable of resisting various demonic tactics, it was defenseless against this smoke. One misstep, and his three flowers would be diminished, completely destroying the Magical Treasure.

It was clear that One Light Master's Golden Lotus was far more formidable than Chuandeng Monk's White Lotus!

Shi Feiyang dared not let it approach and flung out the Three Yangs One Qi Sword with a flick of his hand. Three colorful beams, each more than thirty feet long, shot out towards the heart of the lotus. The thousands of Golden Lotus petals moved together, shooting out thousands of golden needle-like rays, forming a "needle cluster" that blocked the Three Yangs One Qi Sword, while the heart of the lotus continued to emit delicate smoke, intent on enveloping the Immortal Sword within its layers.

Under normal circumstances, any Flying Sword caught in such a trap would instantly turn red, losing its spirit. Additionally, the magic's power would travel through space to the person controlling the sword, exceedingly dangerous.

Shi Feiyang's hands moved rapidly through sword techniques as he exhaled True Qi, exclaiming, "Sword strike at Three Rivers!"

At once, an explosion of white light burst from the Three Yangs One Qi Sword, expanding like flames and burning away the dust web on its surface, turning it into foul-smelling wisps of blue smoke.

Immediately afterward, Shi Feiyang threw out five Treasure Beads, which met with the layers of dust nets and struck the cluster of light needles before the lotus heart. They exploded simultaneously with a "crackling" noise, erupting into Five-Colored Flames.

Years ago, Shi Feiyang had acquired the Five Fire Qiankun Net from Red Flower Grandmother at the North Pole. He dismantled it into the Five Elements True Fire, which he merged into the Divine Fire Inner Core. Later, the Water and Fire Inner Core became the Chaos Dragon Ball, and the expelled Five Elements True Fire was further refined by Shi Feiyang with additional Five Elements Essence and True Sun Fire to create the Five Elements Divine Fire Pearl.

This pearl initially exploded like Divine Thunder, shocking the area for a hundred miles. The dust net spraying from the Golden Lotus, seemingly impervious to explosions and appearing as light and slight as smoke, could not be scattered even by the fiercest Divine Thunder, but the Five Elements True Fire was its nemesis. In the midst of the explosive expansion, the Five-Colored Divine Flames burned it into foul-smelling blue smoke.

The Thunder Pearls' explosion scattered the "needle cluster" composed of countless golden needles in front of the lotus heart. The Three Yangs One Qi Sword, unstoppable, pierced directly into the heart of the lotus. The trio of swords stabbed consecutively and twisted, followed by an encasing of Five-Colored True Fire. Fierce burning ensued, and as sword fire erupted simultaneously, the entire Golden Lotus was ground into bits, accompanied by the Demon's heart-wrenching shrieks, scattering into streaks of golden light in the air.

Shi Feiyang moved with lightning speed, from the rising of the Lotus Platform and the emission of smoke dust, to the complete destruction of the Golden Lotus, all within the span of a few breaths.

One Light Master reappeared in the air, his treasured artifact destroyed, unable to contain his rage. He spewed out ten streams of golden Demon Light from between his hands, aggressively breaking through the defenses, and yelled orders for all his disciples to fly in for the attack.

The dozens of Barbarian Monks each released their Precepts Blade treasures and charged over on Golden Lotuses, while the people around Shi Feiyang repelled them with their Flying Swords.
