The Ancestor of All Demons

Chapter 203: 202 Hell

Shi Feiyang had just destroyed the Golden Lamp Tree and found the Chuandeng Monk when he was in the cave where Xiong Man was trapped.

The true body of the Evil Monk was hidden, revealing only his Lifebound Divine Demon.

This Divine Demon was originally his Primordial Spirit. After a series of demon cultivation, it had been refined into a Divine Demon. It dressed like a monk and looked almost identical to him, except it had six arms.

Standing over ten feet tall on the ground, it towered over Xiong Man, who was seated on the Dharma Platform, looking down from above. The six arms held various spells, enclosing Xiong Man in their midst.

She was enveloped by vast Demon Light, within which was fire, and within the fire were demons, shadows of men, women, the elderly, and children. Heads after heads attached within the Demon Light were wailing, laughing grotesquely, howling in sorrow, cursing, and pleading toward the center where Xiong Man was.

Xiong Man's body was wrapped by two light rings, one blue and one yellow.

The Child Mother Dragon Sparrow Ring, one of Lianshan Master's four demonic refining treasures that guarded the mountain, ranked third, even above the Myriad Image Xuan Guang Ruler. There were a mother and child set of rings; the mother rings were one red, one white, held by the two elders of Song Mountain, while the child rings were one blue, one yellow, which eventually came into Xiong Man's possession through the hands of Dongxiu from Purple Cloud Palace.

Despite having only half the set, the light rings revolved, and their blue and yellow glow shone brightly, protecting her body and spirit. The demon light around her was pushed back; as the glow turned, even the Demon Fire that approached her was instantly dissipated and extinguished.

The Dragon Sparrow Ring blocked the demon light, the demon fire, and the demons outside. Only the wailing of the Demon Souls and the Demon Curse could not be blocked.

Various sounds pounded into Xiong Man's mind through her ears like hail; resisting them with her own willpower was necessary, and it depended on the Dao Heart cultivated over time.

This moment was when the difference between the orthodox Mysterious Sect and the heretical factions became apparent. The cultivation between the two differed precisely at this point—through accumulating outer skills, reincarnation, and various means, the Mysterious Sect's Righteous Path held a Dao Heart tough as steel; those from the heretical paths were impatient and overzealous, pursuing unrestrained freedom and instant gratification, "taking pleasure in grievances." When faced with such adversity, their inner demons were easily provoked.

Chuandeng Monk kept casting, yet Xiong Man remained immovable and unswayed.

When Shi Feiyang shattered the Golden Lamp Tree and broke the Demon Formation, Chuandeng Monk was aware. He even sent two disciples with his Magical Treasures to stop him, but Shi Feiyang slew both disciples, only managing to retrieve the treasures while failing to save the lamp tree.

He had his disciples bring Xiong Man to Haideng Temple, intending to make her the Demon Consort, practicing dual cultivation together, which would help to master an even more powerful Supreme Demon Technique.

Later, when Shi Feiyang invaded, Chuandeng Monk sensed the imminent disaster and earnestly prayed to his master, the One Light Master, for rescue.

One Light Master told him to use Magic to lure Xiong Man's Primordial Spirit out, let the Demon God possess her body, devour her Essence Energy, and then use the Heavenly Demon Disintegration Great Technique, which would deal heavy damage to Shi Feiyang, allowing himself to eliminate Shi Feiyang from afar with his casting.

Chuandeng Monk hastily tried to extract Xiong Man's soul. This was also why he didn't use Magical Treasures to directly attack her, because Xiong Man had already resolved to commit suicide and use the Heavenly Demon Disintegration Great Technique she learned from Deng Bagu, dying together with her enemy, once the Dragon Sparrow Ring was broken.

If her body was destroyed, whether as a Demon Consort or for using Magic, it would be of no use. Chuandeng Monk could only continuously influence her psyche, absorb her Primordial Spirit, and make her serve him.

He kept emitting Demon Light, increasing the output of Mana, yet Xiong Man stood firm, her heart not stirred in the slightest.

Chuandeng Monk felt Shi Feiyang could strike at any moment and that the Maze outside couldn't trap him for long. He beckoned with his hand, snatching Wei Da through the air, and sprayed a burst of Demon Fire, burning his monk's robe to ashes and throwing him bare before Xiong Man, "You go! Awaken her!"

Wei Da knelt before Xiong Man, crying out loud, "Xiong Xianzi! It's all my fault! I should never have harbored improper thoughts toward you! It's all my doing! Please, kill me!"

Knowing that Xiong Man was protected by a Flying Sword, he thought dying by her sword would not be a bad end, so he flung his arms open and lunged forward, triggering the defensive reaction of Xiong Man's protective Flying Sword. A flash of light quickly slit his throat.

A head rolled to the side off the platform, with copious amounts of blood spraying from the neckless torso, all towards Xiong Man's direction, fortunately blocked by the Sword Qi and treasure light, scattering outwards like droplets of rain.

Even in death, Wei Da was not spared by Chuandeng Monk; the Lifebound Divine Demon reached forward, grabbing his Primordial Spirit out of him. He still looked like a middle-aged monk, sitting on his knees atop the Demon Claw, akin to Sun Wukong trapped in the palm of the Buddha. Being newly dead, he was still dazed.

Chuandeng Monk held Wei Da's Divine Soul in his hand, emitted a mouthful of Demon Light onto him and restored the soul to its original size as if alive, also regaining his consciousness. Upon realizing he was still subject to the Demon even in death, he started crying out loud.

Chuandeng Monk grabbed one of Wei Da's arms and tore it off forcefully, with Wei Da screaming in agony. Then, the monk tore off another arm, and after the arms, he tore the legs. Having all limbs removed, he then grabbed his head and body, twisting them as if wringing out a wet cloth, extracting all the blood from within until it was completely drained dry.

He shook out the wrung Wei Da, it seemed all flesh and bones were pulverized, leaving just a shriveled human skin that looked like an empty balloon. The Demon Monk shook it a few times, then exhaled a puff of Demon Light, and quickly, Wei Da bloated back up, reverted to a human form.

"Resurrected from death," Wei Da hadn't yet grasped his situation when the Demon Monk grasped his chin and forcefully tore his head off...

Wei Da really experienced being alive and tossed into Hell, where despite being a soul body, he still had bones that could be twisted and shattered, muscles and internal organs that could be squashed flat, and blood that could be squeezed out to dry. Of course, this included limbs that, once torn off, would disappear as soon as they hit the ground. The torture was terrifyingly real. The Demon Monk was merciless and cruel; each time he inflicted pain, making Wei Da wish for death, one round of torture would end only for Wei Da to "die" again, then with a few shakes and a breath of Demonic Qi, he was "revived" to face a new round of torment.

"You useless trash! How can you be so incompetent? Wake her up now! And make it quick!"

Wei Da could only scream in agony, no longer calling out the name of Xiong Man.

Xiong Man hardened her heart, resolute not to be swayed.

Shi Feiyang hid in the shadows, silently calculating, confirming that Xiong Man had indeed passed her ordeal, then he emerged, prepared to take action.

He had deduced that the true body of the Chuandeng Monk was hidden in the wall behind him. Feiyang wanted to quietly circle around and destroy his true body first.

However, the Lifebound Divine Demon of the Chuandeng Monk was extremely sensitive and noticed Shi Feiyang's movements. From his Demon Eyes, two beams of red Demon Light were emitted, and his six arms shook simultaneously, each Demon Claw now wielding a weapon - a Vajra Pestle, a White Lotus, a pair of Golden Cymbals, and a pair of Golden Ring Sabers.

The top left hand holding the Vajra Devil Subduing Pestle swung in the direction Shi Feiyang was, and a beam of brilliance shot from the tip, flying straight toward him.

Shi Feiyang still wielded the Jade Ruler, releasing a Golden Flower to protect his body. The golden light from the Demon-Subduing Pestle was absorbed by the flower and disappeared without a trace.

He pointed with his hand, and the Three Yangs One Qi Sword transformed into three Seven-Colored Sword Rainbows, spiraling and slashing toward the Divine Demon, who in turn released two Golden Sabers to intercept. His middle two hands then clapped the Golden Cymbals together, immediately erupting with a thousand rays of Golden Light Demon Fire aimed at Shi Feiyang.

Shi Feiyang responded by releasing two more Golden Flowers, three flowers defending his body, warding off all evil. He drove the Three Yangs One Qi Sword forward relentlessly, pressing the two Golden Sabers back in counterattack.

The Chuandeng Monk clapped his Golden Cymbals wildly, unleashing Demonic Flames of Golden Light, and raised the Demon-Subduing Pestle again, all of which were blocked by the three Golden Flowers.

After a moment of battle, the Chuandeng Monk activated the untouched White Lotus. Its petals unfolded layer by layer toward Shi Feiyang, and from the central pistil, a viscous pink mist sprayed out like an intricate spiderweb, scattering in all directions and growing denser.

Plenty of this "dust smoke" came down, covering his head and face, meeting the golden light from the Golden Flowers without being neutralized. Instead, it blanketed them, layer upon layer, seemingly trying to wrap Shi Feiyang, person and treasure included, into a large "cocoon," attempting to bind and seal him.

Shi Feiyang used the Three Lights Tribulation Transformation Method to leave behind a decoy made of condensed moonlight while his true form stealthily hugged the wall and moved along it.

The Divine Demon of the Chuandeng Monk was very alert and immediately locked onto him again, aiming the Golden Sabers and treasure pestle his way. Shi Feiyang wielded the Jade Ruler, releasing six Golden Flowers surrounded by layers of purple Qi for defense, and with his right hand, he performed the Sword Control technique, directing the Three Yangs One Qi Sword to pierce diagonally into the rock wall.

These Immortal Swords were incredibly sharp, cutting through rock and steel like tofu, moving within the wall like fish in water, reaching the location where the Chuandeng Monk's real body lay in an instant.

The Demon Monk only realized the danger when the Immortal Swords loomed close; with a loud shout, the Divine Demon abandoned its attack on Shi Feiyang and vanished into the stone wall, disappearing from sight.

Then, the stone wall cracked open, revealing an inward-recessed Buddha niche where the Chuandeng Monk's flesh body was seated. By then, the Lifebound Divine Demon had returned, and the Three Yangs One Qi Sword was in his grasp.

His body radiated golden light, like a Golden Arhat, firmly gripping the sword. The Seven-Colored Rainbow Light burst continuously on the sword, but it couldn't break free.

Shi Feiyang expelled a stream of True Essence Qi from his mouth and pointed across space with the Sword technique in his right hand, calling out softly, "Break!"

The radiance on the Three Yangs One Qi Sword surged, the Three Yangs energies merging into one. The Seven-Colored Rainbow Light twisted like a rope, suddenly coiling, and the sharp sword edge forcefully cut into the Chuandeng Monk's arm, wrought as it was like gold, instantly shredding his left arm!

The three Sword Rainbows surged forward, wrapping around the Chuandeng Monk's entire body – the Demon Monk roaring angrily as he sacrificed the Precepts Blade, fusing with the sword, and forcibly smashing through the wall with his back, flying out. Yet the edge of the Three Yangs One Qi Sword caught his lower body, grinding his legs into chunks.

Only a right arm remained on the Chuandeng Monk's flesh body, red-eyed with rage, fire-breathing from all seven orifices!

He had drilled through tens of feet of soil and rock, creating a passageway that smashed directly into another cavern.

In this cavern stood four young men and women, precisely Yu Xiao, Shi Mingzhu, Huo Renyu, and Shi Yuzhu!

It turned out Huo Renyu held the Heavenly Treasure Mirror, through which he had located the interconnecting passages between the different Demon Prisons and had roughly discerned the operational veins of the Demon Prison Formation. Though his induction into the sect and Mana weren't as profound as Yu Xiao's, he had read extensively in the Daoist Temple and was proficient in divination. With the Heavenly Treasure Mirror, it was as if he was looking at a blueprint. After a period of concentrated study, he finally discovered the ever-shifting portals within the Array.
