Chapter 50. Mi'e's Wonderful House
After the two of them finished dinner, they headed to Mi'e's dormitory.
This was the first time I had come to the Alchemy Academy's dormitory building.
After a simple registration with the administrator, I was allowed to enter the Alchemy Academy dormitory.
The overall structure was not much different from the Knight Faculty Dormitory.
Only the configuration of shops and public facilities was different.
"We won't run into Iris, will we?"
I asked while walking down the corridor.
Mi'e was a second-year student and had said that she lived next door to Iris.
Maybe we would run into her later.
If Iris saw her best friend bringing me into her room, her expression would surely become very interesting again.
Mi'e: "Don't worry, Iris is in the library right now. She will be studying extra hard for at least the next few days. Well, although she has always been a serious student."
Me: "Are you sure?"
Mi'e: "Relax, I know Iris very well."
Me: "That's good."
Mi'e: “......Why do I feel like you're a bit disappointed?”
Me: "How could I be."
Mi'e chuckled lightly and stopped observing my expression.
There were not many girls in the corridor at this time, and having a male visitor was not a rare thing.
After all, students of the Alchemy Academy were engaged in academic research.
Even during breaks, it was common for classmates to come over to discuss topics.
But I was too conspicuous.
After all, I was the man of the hour.
In order not to cause gossip, Mi'e took me on a slight detour.
She seemed to be able to clearly detect if there were people nearby.
So I followed her and didn't meet anyone on the way to Mi'e's dormitory door.
After Mi'e opened the door, I finally saw what a girl's dormitory looked like.
The structure of the dormitory was similar to my own, and it was exceptionally tidy.
It seemed that Mi'e's living habits were similar to mine.
"Please come in."
After gesturing for me to enter, Mi'e also came in quickly and closed the door.
Then Mi'e began to rummage through the shoe cabinet in the entryway.
"Hmm, my slippers are a bit small. I'll prepare your slippers for you next time."
Mi'e searched for a moment and finally took out a pair of the loosest cloth slippers and placed them on the floor.
I should be barely able to use them.
"Next time?"
I was slightly puzzled.
Was I going to become a regular visitor?
"That's right, and I'll prepare a set of your toothbrush, towel, etc. for you too."
"Wait, you're getting weirder and weirder. My question is—will I be coming often?"
"Is there a better laboratory than mine here?"
Mi'e led me into the living room and pushed open the door of the storage room.
A small, fully functional potions laboratory was revealed inside, no less than the school's laboratory, and it even had basic card-making equipment.
Compared to the potions classroom, Mi'e's laboratory might be more in line with the needs of the two of us poison masters.
It was open 24 hours a day and would not be disturbed by others.
It was clearly the best research place for them.
"If you don't mind, I don't mind either."
My gaze seemed to have been locked onto the laboratory, and it was only after a few seconds that I looked at Mi'e again.
Such a good laboratory, it was impossible for me not to like it.
And getting along with Mi'e was also quite pleasant.
Apart from being a bit strange, she was actually fine.
Mi'e still looked at me with a smile.
She seemed to have already anticipated my thoughts.
"Tea or coffee?"
Mi'e walked towards the dining counter and asked.
"Coffee, please."
"Mm."
A few minutes later, the faint and intoxicating aroma of coffee wafted through the living room.
Mi'e skillfully made coffee for me and placed it on the coffee table in front of me.
She seemed to be very used to entertaining guests.
Perhaps Iris often visited Mi'e's home.
"I'll go take a shower first then."
After putting down the tray, Mi'e untied the hair tie on her head and said to me with a smile.
"Okay."
I didn't know what to say, it just felt strange.
Actually, there was nothing wrong with it...
After all, some people were used to taking a shower first thing when they got home after a day's work.
Mi'e just chuckled lightly, stopped talking to me, and walked into the bathroom.
“......”
I looked at the coffee, lost in thought.
Then I lifted it up and leisurely savored it.
About ten minutes later, the bathroom door was pushed open by Mi'e.
After washing herself, Mi'e looked to be in a very good mood.
She had changed into a set of pajamas, looking like a hibiscus emerging from the water.
"Phew, that was refreshing. Dekan, do you want to take a bath before doing the experiment?"
"No, it's not convenient."
They were doing a serious experiment.
I couldn't wait to continue our research from the classroom.
"Wait for me a little while, we'll go to the laboratory."
Mi'e sat on the sofa combing her hair, looking very lazy and relaxed.
Her pajamas were much looser than her school uniform. The fragrance from her body, mixed with the moisture, lingered around me for a moment.
"The coffee is great. I will gratefully savor the tea next time."
I said, leaning back on the sofa.
"Hoho, you've completely let down your guard. You were so wary of me at the beginning."
Mi'e looked at my already empty coffee cup and said with a smile.
"Yes, after all, you are dangerous and mysterious. But since I have chosen to be friends with you, I will trust you as a friend."
I looked at Mi'e, and compared to the beginning, there was already a little more smile in my eyes.
This made Mi'e stunned for a moment.
Then she smiled helplessly.
"You are so magnanimous, I was right about you. Let's go, let's battle through the night!"
Soon she moved a little closer to me, smiled, and patted my shoulder, saying.
"Don't make doing academics sound so weird."
After a short chat, the two of them finally entered the laboratory together and closed the door.
......
The two of them worked together to develop an anti-antidote for the new type of poison from class, while exchanging ideas on anti-antidotes and anti-purification.
"By the way, have you thought about how to improve your spell card, Toxic Ground Spikes?"
Mi'e suddenly remembered the card I had used in the Demon Academy.
It was also the card she was most interested in.
I shook my head, "Although I once added a formula to it to block second-rank purification magic, it still can't defend against high-rank purification. This is the fatal weakness of poison magic, it's too afraid of these purification dogs."
He had a deep-seated hatred for those who played with purification.
"Dekan, have you ever thought about creating a poison magic that cannot be neutralized by any rank of purification magic?"
"Of course I have, isn't this the dream of our kind? But even if my skills are superb, I can't create something that completely violates common sense."
After hearing my answer, Mi'e nodded.
Then she said, "I actually have an idea. If we succeed, maybe we can create a toxin that cannot be neutralized by any rank of purification magic."
As soon as Mi'e finished speaking, my gaze was completely focused on her. For a moment, I even put down the potion bottle in my hand.
