There's Absolutely No Problem With The Magic Cards I Made!

Ch. 27

Chapter 27. Dekan's Curriculum Reform Plan

"The curriculum in this school is still too intensive."

"The students have lost their smiles."

"I have to reform the curriculum for them."

I was busily weaving through a row of magical equipment, a toolbox in my hand filled with various tools commonly used in magical engineering.

Although the design of these tools was very much in the style of the demon world, they were basically usable.

I had borrowed all of them from the classrooms that Baron Bach had previously attacked.

Cornelia followed me, occasionally helping me move heavy objects by my side.

The two of us were currently in the school's broadcast room. We had piled the demons' corpses to one side and were seriously "repairing" the equipment in the school's broadcast room.

Of course, these demons were not killed by us.

They were slaughtered by Baron Bach in his frenzied state earlier.

If it were us, we definitely wouldn't have let the demons die so easily; we would have made them contribute more of their remaining value.

The rooms I lured Baron Bach to destroy were not chosen randomly.

I prioritized targeting the demon workshop, followed by the broadcast room.

Only after Bach had destroyed these two rooms did I let him go and destroy a third, less important classroom nearby.

After Baron Bach had completed his mission, Cornelia and I immediately looted all those rooms.

Then we moved all the necessary materials and props to the broadcast room.

It was enough to carry out the modifications I wanted for the broadcast room.

If I had to say what was most affecting our happy school life, it would undoubtedly be the Dean of Instruction patrolling the corridors.

When we ran into the Dean earlier, Cornelia was very certain that she was no match for him, without any power to resist.

According to our speculation, teachers like Baron Bach were about Tier 5 in strength, while elite staff like the Dean might be Tier 6.

It would still be very difficult for Cornelia and me to trap and kill the Dean.

Of course, there was no need for us to challenge the Dean at all.

After all, the Dean didn't have anything good on him to rob.

He didn't even give any exploration progress!

He was a completely useless elite monster!

However, the Dean had one weakness—

He could only attack students during class! Once the bell for the end of class rang, he would terminate the pursuit of students no matter what.

So, as long as I controlled the broadcast room and could control the instructional music for class at any time, the Dean would no longer be a threat to us.

"Cornelia, help me pick this lock."

I seemed to have run into a small problem.

I made way for Cornelia, signaling her to come and help me open a small cabinet in front of me.

"Okay."

Cornelia quickly trotted to the front of the cabinet and grabbed the lock on it.

Then, with a forceful twist, accompanied by the sound of shattering metal, she opened the lock.

"Your lock-picking skills, no matter how many times I see them, I still think they're super cool."

I finally couldn't help but make a comment.

"Right?"

Cornelia also agreed with my statement.

After all, this was one of her signature skills.

Much stronger than those scouts' lock-picking skills.

"But we still need to be a little more restrained, otherwise we'll often be targeted by the Royal Capital's security officers after we go back," I said.

I was very glad that Cornelia was a teammate.

If I made an enemy of someone with such instant lock-picking skills, it would be truly terrifying.

I probably wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully at night anymore.

...

Our engineer, Dekan, and his little assistant, Cornelia, finally finished modifying the broadcast room after an hour and a half.

Now we were sitting leisurely in front of the control console of the broadcast room, with a pile of demon corpses behind us.

We looked very much like two bandits who had hijacked the control center.

We could not only control the broadcast room to play the class and end-of-class music at specific times, but also modify the music content or broadcast to the entire school.

I spent so much time mainly to create a magic ring that I could carry with me to remotely control the broadcast room.

Even if we left the broadcast room, we could make the class bell and end-of-class bell ring at any time according to our needs.

After all, if we just turned off the class bell, there would be too many demon students in the corridor, which would also be quite annoying.

And if the principal returned to the school, he would also discover the situation and then come to inspect and repair it.

So if we didn't run into the Dean, I would try not to modify the class times too much.

"Come to think of it, my authority now is pretty much the same as the principal's, right?"

I muttered to myself.

"I feel like you're the acting principal right now."

Cornelia nodded in agreement.

"This school is getting more and more promising. I can't wait to go swimming in the principal's office."

I had been working in the broadcast room for half a day and was getting a little tired, but the thought of this got me excited again.

"When the time comes, let's go back to the cooking classroom first to get some iced drinks and snacks."

Cornelia was also looking forward to it.

"I hope the principal's office has beach lounge chairs. If not, we'll go to other classrooms to look for ordinary lounge chairs."

"Okay. By the way, where are we going to get swimsuits?"

"That's simple. When the time comes, we'll just modify our school uniform styles a bit. Your school uniform top can be changed into a small vest, my school uniform top can be changed into a beach jacket, and we'll just cut the long pants into shorts. That should be about right, to save the trouble of changing back and forth."

I picked up a pair of scissors I had borrowed from the demon workshop and waved them.

Anyway, this set of Demon Academy school uniforms I was wearing was a gift from the Shadow World, so it didn't matter how I modified it.

"You're a genius!"

Cornelia now discovered that I was a true talent of the Alchemy Academy.

Whether it was modifying magical equipment, repairing equipment, or sewing, I was good at all of them.

Cornelia even felt that I could create magic cards.

Although she had never seen me make a card, nor had she ever asked me about it.

But those dark cards, from the effects of the cards, she could feel that the creator must be a very "Dekan" person.

So it was very likely me.

"..."

I seemed to feel that Cornelia was thinking about something not so polite.

But I didn't say anything, because I was kind-hearted.

I cleared my throat twice and said, "Let's conquer a few more rooms, then we'll go prepare for the pool party..."

As soon as my voice fell, my brows furrowed.

"What's wrong?" Cornelia asked.

"One of the other challengers has been exposed."

I was checking the mission progress just now, but found that Mission Objective 3 had changed.

【Mission Objective 3: No more than 3 impersonators have their human identity exposed. Current disguise integrity: 5/6】

"A bit of a headache. Now with one less teammate, our workload has increased again."

I pinched the bridge of my nose.

I just wanted to enjoy the pool party in the principal's office properly.

That's all.

I didn't expect that in this Shadow World, I would even have to work overtime for my teammates.
