Reading the wall of text, Liu Wei frowned.
He grumbled in annoyance.
"Does that mean I have to harvest every other day?"
The Seed Spirit Index Orb replied, "The Herb Caretakers can maintain the maturity until you harvest. In fact, it will be able to last in a year's time in the outside world."
Liu Wei was surprised.
At the same time, he was extremely delighted.
He thought.
I will be able to completely forget about it whenever I'm cultivating for days.
Liu Wei managed to ease himself.
He stared at the wall of texts again and asked, "What's this mortal and spirit rank of plants or so? Can you show me all the hierarchy of plants and a brief description of each? You should add examples, too."
The Seed Spirit Index Orb immediately replied, "Certainly."
Then the wall of texts changed and was replaced by an entire new one.
"Mortal Flora, also known as Common grade, are ordinary herbs and crops that contain faint, natural Qi traces, which are easily cultivable in mortal soil. Plants on these levels are Verdant Rice, Thousand-Day Peach, Cloudcap Mushroom, Scarletroot Carrot, Moonpear Fruit, and more."
"Spirit Flora, also known as Spirit grade, are plants that actively absorb ambient Qi, as their leaves or fruits glow faintly, which may exhibit mild spiritual instincts. Plants on these levels are Azureleaf Ginseng, Spirit Wheat, Qi Dew Berry, Silver Mist Grass, Blossom of Serenity, and more."
"Treasure Flora, also known as Treasure grade are plants that possess distinct elemental or Dao signatures and root structures form natural arrays. It can slightly affect nearby Qi veins. At this level, a Treasure Flora is also born out of mutations from Spirit or even Mortal Flora from different terraces. Plants on these levels are Azure Pulse Grain, Solarflare Lotus, Frost Jade Vine, Thunderseed Grass, Tideheart Lily, Emberroot Herb, and more."
Then, it stopped on the Treasure Flora.
Liu Wei tilted his head and asked, "Is the Treasure Flora the highest rank?"
The Seed Spirit Index Orb replied, "No, but at the moment, you can only produce Treasure Flora. However, of course, it's still possible for your domain to give birth to a flora higher than the Treasure rank. Even then, maturity will take years…"
Liu Wei was surprised.
He shrugged, not really minding the duration.
After all, he did not have all the time to focus on the Agricultural Domain.
He asked, "So, what is the duration for Treasure flora to mature?"
The Seed Spirit Index Orb immediately replied, "It varies widely, so it typically takes 2-12 months internally, which takes 10-30 days externally."
Liu Wei was surprised.
That was the first time the Seed Spirit Index Orb mentioned the time interval between the Agricultural Domain and the real world.
Liu Wei thought for a while and pondered.
She was unable to classify a rank higher than a Treasure Flora, does that mean there is already a Treasure Flora in the domain?
Liu Wei asked, "So, you mean there's already a Treasure Flora in the domain?"
The Seed Spirit Index Orb suddenly sighed.
Liu Wei was taken aback.
Then, she said, "No, but at the moment, you can only produce Treasure Flora. However, of course, it's still possible for your domain to give birth to a flora higher than the Treasure rank. Even then, maturity will take years…"
Liu Wei frowned and tilted his head sideways.
He asked, "Why did you repeat what I just said? I was simply asking to clarify things. Furthermore, that doesn't answer my question at all."
Liu Wei's tone turned solemn, causing the Seed Spirit Index Orb to shiver lightly.
She immediately replied, "I apologized. I lost myself there. To answer your question, no, there's no Treasure Flora at the moment. Only you can give birth to it."
Liu Wei understood what the Seed Spirit Index Orb meant and rolled his eyes.
He said to the System, "Will you stop taking a chance to mock me? I would rather have a rather passive system than an active one."
[...]
The System did not reply.
Liu Wei shrugged and did not continue to attack her.
He was confident it was the System's interference, he was too familiar with her methods.
He was not guilty at all, seemingly directing that he did not need the System's active behavior but a brainless one.
He indeed preferred it.
He then focused on the Seed Spirit Index Orb and asked, "Do you also have details on the animals on the pasture?"
She immediately replied, "Unfortunately, not."
Liu Wei nodded and did not ask anymore questions.
He then explored more on the Seed and Sapling Storage area before moving to the Fertilizers, Growth Aids, and Work Area, discovering then there was a staircase leading to the second floor.
…
In the Fertilizers, Growth Aids, and Work Area, Liu Wei explored what was currently available.
He was surprised when he discovered there were puppets responsible for mixing decomposed herbs, elixir residues, and mineral powders into Alchemized Compost.
Then, they transported each soil specific for the terrace by engraving them with runes, making them vanish in an instant.
Liu Wei was in awe.
In total, there were eight Puppet Composters, with each responsible for each terraces.
He did not bother asking the System about the Puppet Composters and moved on to other objects in the Fertilizers, Growth Aids, and Work Area.
There were Growth Crystals embedded in the work table.
Liu Wei explored more about it, touching it, caressing it, even communicating with it and finally understood how it worked.
The glowing stones pulsed softly to measure Qi density and soil temperament.
In essence, they revealed the mood of the "earth" of different terraces and even the livestock pasture.
Of course, Liu Wei had no use of it.
However, those aspiring farmers would.
After all, once they would become attuned to the crystals, they would experience soil sensations firsthand, increasing their empathy with nature.
Obviously, it was also a way to learn Dao related to nature and even increased them.
Liu Wei explored the last part of the area and was stunned.
He stood in front of a pill furnace.
It was also a spirit rank tool, possessing quite a bit of consciousness.
There was also a wall of texts that was written on the wall above.
"Miniature Alchemy Hearth.
The bridge that connects two separate disciplines: agriculture and alchemy.
It is located in a place where an alchemist can refine pills for agriculture while studying inside the Agricultural Domain.
Occasionally, when refining, the Hearth hums in rhythm with the terraces — teaching that nothing in cultivation is wasted, only transformed.
Over time, the Hearth may develop a minor spirit consciousness, softly advising which combinations produce best nourishment."
Liu Wei's eyes sparkled.
He never thought the intermediate stage Agricultural Domain would invite an interdisciplinary learning by itself.
Liu Wei wanted to practice the Miniature Alchemy Hearth.
However, he was more interested in producing an alchemist that focused on farming.
He mumbled, "If an alchemist is already rich after producing pills that benefit the cultivators, what's more if they focus on human consumption? Even a cultivator would seek food. If the foods were enhanced to their needs, like alchemy pills suddenly turning into a delicacy, then…"
Liu Wei's eyes sparkled with symbols of money.
However, he soon recalled he was becoming a greedy merchant like his father again and immediately lost interest by his sudden idea earlier.
He pondered.
I guess, I have to recruit a learner, who has interest in this unique learning.
Liu Wei sighed and shook his head.
It will take a lot of time, though. After all, they are rare to come by.
Liu Wei acknowledged the fact that he was in the world that only thought of martial arts.
Alchemy? For martial artists.
Creating weapons? For martial artists.
Arrays? For and against martial artists.
In other words, he would attract aspiring martial artists more than what he looked for.
Liu Wei did not dwell more on the Miniature Alchemy Hearth, as he proceeded to the second floor, bringing him to the area that focused on livestock…
…
There were only two sections on the second floor.
The Spirit Livestock Wing and the Livestock-Crop Harmony Array.
The Spirit Livestock Wing acted as a microcosm of the Spirit Livestock Pasture.
It is where he and others studies, monitors, heals, and nurtures animals on a more intimate or controlled scale.
Exploring the Spirit Livestock Wing area, Liu Wei could not help but comment.
"It's like a research observatory that focuses on livestock. This is really the most important in the domain."
Liu Wei then spent the next hours trying all the features available in the Spirit Livestock Wing.
Liu Wei began with the Livestock Monitoring Table.
It was a wide jade desk etched with flowing vine patterns and softly glowing runes.
He then read the descriptions written on the side of the table.
"When activated, gentle light scrolls unfurl above the surface, each showing a small projection of a spirit animal in the pasture — its health, Qi balance, and elemental state.
If an animal falls ill or its Qi flow becomes unstable, the projection flickers in warning, and the table hums softly to alert the Librarian or who he left the responsibility for.
Linked formations beneath the pasture transfer information through thin jade-thread conduits, keeping the table updated in real time.
At night, the table glows faintly with green light, showing all spirit animals resting peacefully."
Liu Wei was intrigued.
He mumbled, "I should have known that the Spirit Livestock Pasture also has day and night. Interesting."
Liu Wei remained on the Livestock Monitoring Table after some time, waiting for the night to arrive…
