After the last class, once the lunch bell rang, the routine chaos started, people going to washrooms, friends going out to playgrounds to eat their tiffins, some guys going to play some sports like football, baseball etc.

For some reason, the person Su Che wanted to meet didn't come today.

It was clear Ichiko Saori was hiding from him.

Su Chen quickly inquired why Saori didn't come and the reason surprised him- She took four days off because of her poor health?...But Su Chen was clear that this excuse was just part of her delaying tactics to postpone her confrontation with him.

As Su Chen was about to leave the classroom, he was abruptly stopped by the so-called hot girl.

"Hey, Su Chen!"

"You seem different today, you know, being so punctual and all."

Su Chen didn't want to waste time so he nonchalantly replied,

"Something like that!"

Cathy put her slender hands on her mouth and made a short laugh, "That's so awesome!"

"I was thinking, maybe we can..."

But her words were cut short by a sudden yell.

"Cathy!"

From their right side, a familiar voice interrupted them.

Of course, it was Mitshua. She stood near them, her bag still on her seat, she was glaring at Cathy with a gaze that even she couldn't fathom.

"Oh, look who it is?"

Cathy didn't mind her provocation and shot back.

"Why have you not yet left?"

Mitshua was quiet before finally replying,

"It's none of your business!"

Su Chen became interested, the tension between these two girls was almost manifesting in reality, making it difficult to breathe.

"I just want to ask something from him!'

Mitshua exclaimed, then looked at Su Chen, "As long as he doesn't mind."

"Hahahah!"

"I see! I see!"

Cathy's voice was calm but her tone was sharp like a knife.

She wanted to say more, but glancing at Su Chen's impatient face, she knew that staying here for long would only annoy him, so she decisively chose to leave lest her image go downhill in Su Chen's eyes.

"Goodbye, we will definitely talk later, Mr Rich Boy!"

Cathy ignored Mitshua's puffed-up face and gave a flying kiss to Su Chen before leaving the classroom.

As she started walking away, along her way, Cathy left a heavy smell of her unique perfume, the lingering smell of hers was a reminder that she was here.

Mitshua patiently waited until she completely left before speaking again.

But this time, compared to the past, Mitshua's voice was humble enough, her attitude was not that of a superior woman she used to be.

In a low tone, full of hesitation, she finally uttered her next words,

"You have now become a successful man."

"Hmmmmmm...."

"...…and now your temperament has completely changed."

There was a bit of inquiry in her words.

"As the time changes so do the people, how can something in this world be left unchanged with this cruel passage of time?"

Su Chen spoke with a vividness of life.

"But your change was too sudden."

Hearing him answer her thoughts, Mitshua became confident and stepped closer.

"You used to chase after me, I remember in the past, you always used to sneak glances at me. Now that I am here, you don't even look at me in my eyes properly?"

Mitshua didn't know why but she felt aggrieved upon seeing Su Chen's non-interesting behaviour.

Her words broke the silent interlude between them, the only way Su Chen was willing to listen to her was when she bowed her head, and she was showing signs of it.

This was an unexpected gain for Su Chen.

"I was too harsh before, because of my blunt rejection, you must have suffered a lot of humiliation, I don't know why?…..but I want to apologise if it's okay with you?"

"Huh?"

"Our mighty President is finally willing to step down the aisle of superiority?"

Su Chen lifted his head to look directly into her eyes.

"If I were still the unsuccessful back-seat loser, who barely had any money or a stable future, would you still come to apologise?"

There it was- His words were simple, crystal-clear yet harsher than the coldest winters Mitshua had ever faced.

This sentence immediately chilled her newly formed resolve.

Her body wavered as the gravity of Su Chen's cold words hit her turbid heart hard.

In defeat, she could only bite her teeth,

"I know I was wrong…..I just don't know why I am so eccentric, selfish and ambitious."

Su Chen once again glanced at this girl from head to toe.

Sighs~

'It's not that you don't understand Mitshua, it's actually that you can't understand.'

'As the chosen heroine of this world, it's your inherently-natural traits that make you different from all the other women here.'

Su Chen realised her predicament.

'It's the inevitable fate as the number one heroine she had to bear.'

Su Chen figured out everything, but that still doesn't mean he will forgive her so easily.

"So why did your sister Saori not come today?"

"Don't tell me you said something bad about me to Saori, right?"

Su Chen, who already knew the most probable truth, still questioned candidly.

Feeling his intense gaze over us, Mitshua finally conceded,

"Yeah, after my sister left, you went on another date with your secretary, Ji Rumeng, and spent an intimate time with her too.'

Mitshua's face was sour as he exposed her sneaky tactics.

"Then I told my sister about you double-timing her!"

Mitshua still finished what she started.

"But no matter how I incited, she never said anything bad about you nor blamed you."

"She simply said she will take her time."

Mitshua finished explaining.

'No wonder she is a mature woman, her code of conduct is completely opposite to young and lively girls. But not letting me see her for some days, Saori is also trying to punish me, but in her own way.'

Su Chen slowly nodded his head as he began planning his next series of actions.
