My College Teacher is My Children's Mom

Chapter 318 Talking with Besties

By this time, all the class teams had assembled.

After the principal's speech, the sports day was officially declared open.

The first team to enter was Little Class 1.

Their slogan was: "Little One, Little One, strive for number one!"

Holding the sign for Little Class 1 was, to their surprise, Dabao!

This was something the couple hadn't expected.

Seeing Dabao's serious, adult-like expression, they swelled with parental pride.

Even though everyone was dressed in camouflage, they could spot their own children at a glance.

The kids all performed well, shouting their slogans with great spirit.

Sibao's voice stood out, making it easy to pick him out from the crowd.

Erbao and Sanbao walked together, happily waving their little hands at the moms and dads in the stands.

The children were a head taller than their peers, so they all stood at the back.

An Lan said cheerfully, "Dabao's doing great!"

With a solemn expression, Dabao held the sign high and, under Mr. Li's direction, moved to the designated spot to stand at attention.

Next up was Little Class 2, followed by the others, all the way up to the Senior Class.

Afterward, following another speech from the principal, each class began its talent show.

The performance order was different for each class; Middle Class 2 went first.

Little Class 1's turn didn't come until the middle of the competition.

Mr. Li and the other teachers led the dance at the front, and the children who couldn't remember the moves simply copied them.

Each child was equipped with a toy gun, and they began to punch and kick playfully amidst a chorus of happy shouts.

Then they aimed their guns at each other in a mock battle before crawling a few steps on the ground and jumping back up.

The children in Little Class 1 were young, and their movements were a chaotic mess.

But it was so irresistibly cute that it sent the parents into fits of laughter.

Zhang Yuxi recorded the scene and shared it in the family group chat.

Zhao Lizhen sent a message: "I spotted Dabao right away, haha! That boy is much sturdier than the other students."

Zhou Cuilan added: "I just asked my husband to guess, and besides Sibao, he couldn't get a single one right."

Lin Jiajun chimed in: "What a coincidence, we're having our sports day today too."

With that, he sent some pictures and a video.

Xiaowen was in elementary school now; he had grown a lot taller in recent years and had also become much more mature.

After the class competitions ended, everyone moved to a designated area for parent-child activities.

This was their first time participating in a sports day with their children, and all the parents were eager to get started.

Lin Feng was paired with Sanbao.

Zhang Yuxi was with Erbao.

An Lan was with Sibao, and Liu Bo was with Dabao.

The first game began.

The adults were blindfolded. After the children finished singing while walking hand-in-hand in a circle, the parents had to find their own child. The children could not make a sound or try to dodge. The adults couldn't ask questions and could only identify them by feeling their heads.

This posed no challenge for Lin Feng.

He was very familiar with the shape of his children's heads.

After being blindfolded, he quickly found Erbao and Dabao.

Zhang Yuxi chose Sibao.

Both An Lan and Liu Bo chose incorrectly. Sanbao had already been picked by another mother by mistake.

As a result, Lin Feng couldn't find Sanbao among the remaining children.

When the parents removed their blindfolds, those who had chosen correctly hugged their little ones and showered them with kisses, feeling immensely proud of themselves. The parents who had guessed wrong chuckled ruefully as they began searching for their children.

Sanbao had personally seen another mom pick him first, which was why Lin Feng hadn't found him. Therefore, he calmly accepted the outcome. Everyone gathered around to comfort him, but Sanbao indicated that he didn't mind.

Then came the second game.

The children were divided into two teams, and the parents were also split into two teams to correspond with them. This game was called "Ball Bounce," where the kids had to bounce a ball while running toward their parents. After catching the ball, the parents had to bounce it all the way back to their children.

The ball was the size of a basketball, and the kids kept dropping it after a single bounce. The ball simply wouldn't cooperate. The parents on the other side called out encouragement to their kids, reminding them that participation was what mattered, not winning or losing. The most important thing was that the children and parents were having fun.

The third game was a relay race. This was a direct competition between the two teams to see who would win. Lin Feng had to run twice: once for Erbao and once for Sanbao.

Because it was a competition, the children and parents were suddenly full of energy.

Zhang Yuxi, Liu Bo, and An Lan were on the first team. Lin Feng was on the second.

At the starting command, the race began. The children shouted at the top of their lungs, cheering for their parents and grandparents.

In the end, Zhang Yuxi's team won, and Lin Feng's team lost.

The event, which started at nine o'clock, lasted until noon.

Next, the parents and children returned to their class groups. The principal went on stage to give a summary of the day's events, and with that, the sports day came to a perfect close.

The classes returned to their classrooms one by one. Holding their children's hands and carrying their small chairs, the parents filed back inside.

"Where are your seats?" Lin Feng asked Erbao and Sanbao.

From the front of the room, Mr. Li announced, "The children did a fantastic job today, and all the teachers are very proud of you! And to all the parents, thank you for your active cooperation in making this sports day a success! There will be no class this afternoon. We will see you all again on Monday!"

The children, with their backpacks on, held their parents' hands and headed home.

"Sanbao, did you have fun today?" Lin Feng asked.

Sanbao's eyes lit up. "So much fun! I love playing games with Mom and Dad most of all."

The other children also seemed reluctant for the day to end.

Back at home, Lin Feng made noodles.

The children gobbled them down and soon started to feel drowsy. The day had been filled with too much physical activity, and they were exhausted.

After settling the children down for a nap, Liu Bo needed to return to his shop. He asked An Lan if she was coming with him.

"No, I'm tired," An Lan replied, sprawled languidly on the couch.

"Then get some good rest," Liu Bo said softly. "If you want to go to the shop later, call me, and I'll come pick you up."

An Lan hummed in response.

As soon as Liu Bo left, a troubled look washed over her face.

An Lan is probably this distressed because of Liu Bo's impending proposal.

Zhang Yuxi decided to sacrifice her nap time to have a heart-to-heart with her best friend. She sat down beside her. "Thinking about you and Liu Bo?"

An Lan nodded and sighed. "What should I do if he really proposes to me?"

"He probably won't do that," Zhang Yuxi consoled her. "How long have you two even been together?"

An Lan pursed her lips and glanced at the time. "Forget it, I don't want to think about this right now. I'll just cross that bridge when I come to it."

Seeing her friend's pale face, Zhang Yuxi grew concerned. "Why are you so pale? Do you need to rest?"

"Am I?" An Lan wiped her face. She opened the photo gallery on her phone, then immediately tossed it aside in disgust. "I'll go to the bathroom and check. This front camera doesn't have a beauty filter at all."

Lin Feng came downstairs. "Honey, it's time for bed."

Just then, An Lan emerged from the bathroom, touching her face. "Yeah, my face does look a bit pale. I guess I'm just tired."

"I can take you to the hospital to get checked out," Zhang Yuxi offered, worried.

An Lan felt she was overreacting. She had always been tough, and her health was fine; there was nothing wrong with her. "There's no need for a hospital. I probably just haven't been resting well lately. I always feel like I can't get enough sleep, and my whole body feels sluggish."

"'Maybe my 'visitor' is about to arrive," she muttered. "It's been delayed for quite a while now..."

Realizing Lin Feng was there, she quickly shut her mouth and forced a smile. "I'm really fine. Hey, thanks for your concern, but I'm okay."

Zhang Yuxi turned to Lin Feng. "Honey, why don't you go upstairs and sleep with the kids? We're just going to chat for a bit."

"Alright," Lin Feng nodded. He was clearly being sent away so they could talk in private.
