Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method

Chapter 160: The Final Lift

Arden, Eliza, and Clara stood near the training area, watching as the twins and Dahlia did the crazy bench press.

Clara wiped her forehead and groaned. "Ugh, Master already made them do it. We're next, aren't we?"

Arden crossed his arms, looking calm but uneasy. "Of course not."

"Those three are always the troublemakers. We're the disciplined ones… supposedly."

Eliza nodded in quiet agreement. "True. But still…"

She turned toward Clara with a raised eyebrow. "For you, Clara, I wouldn't be too sure."

Clara blinked, pointing at herself. "What? Why me? I've been behaving!"

Arden gave her a flat look. "You tried to race the twins during warm-ups."

Clara frowned. "That was training motivation!"

Eliza sighed softly. "You yelled, 'Last one to finish owes me dinner,' and nearly tripped three people in the process."

Clara scratched her cheek awkwardly. "...Okay, maybe that was a little too much enthusiasm."

Arden looked toward Garion, who was still lecturing the elders. "Just stay quiet. Maybe he'll forget about us."

Clara grinned mischievously. "Forget about us? Master? Never."

Eliza gave her a side glance. "Don't jinx it."

But Garion already knew they were there. He heard every whisper and chuckle, yet ignored them for now.

Arden wasn't wrong. The real culprits for yesterday were clearly Dahlia and the twins.

Garion turned back toward the main squat rack and clapped his hands.

"Alright! Time for the second of the Big Three... the squats!"

The twins froze immediately. Dahlia tilted her head with a skeptical frown.

Garion started loading plates onto the bar, one after another, until the total hit 400 kilograms. "Rynar, you're first!"

Rynar's jaw dropped. "What?! Four hundred?! Master, are you trying to kill me? Earlier it was three hundred!"

Garion smirked. "Come on, it's just a squat. If it doesn't crush you, it'll make you stronger."

Rynar groaned, rubbing his neck. "Yeah, and if it does crush me?"

Garion laughed. "Then I'll rebuild you stronger. Now get under it."

Rynar muttered something under his breath but stepped forward.

He got under the bar, adjusted his footing, and took a deep breath. "Alright… let's do this."

Garion crouched beside him. "Good stance. Keep your chest up and your back straight. Now go down... slowly!"

The metal creaked under the weight as Rynar bent his knees, his face twisting from the effort. "Ghhhhh!"

Garion's voice cut through his grunts. "Don't stop! Lower! Now up!"

Rynar roared and pushed upward, shaking but managing to lock out his legs.

Garion nodded with a grin. "Good. One perfect rep. That's enough for now."

Rynar stumbled forward and immediately collapsed onto the floor, breathing hard. "Never again…"

Garion chuckled. "You said that last time too."

He turned to Rynor. "Your turn."

Rynor frowned, glaring at the weights. "Master, are you sure you didn't miscount the plates?"

Garion smirked. "Nope."

Rynor sighed and took position. His form was smoother, but the strain still showed across his body.

He grunted, pushed through, and somehow finished his rep before falling backward beside his brother.

"Ugh… everything hurts."

Garion nodded. "Good. That means it's working."

Then he turned toward Dahlia.

Her face darkened. "Don't even think about it."

Garion smirked and began adding more plates. "Of course not. Yours will be 450."

Dahlia's eye twitched. "Four hundred and... Master, that's fifty more!"

Garion shrugged. "You're the strongest of my disciples, aren't you? You said it yourself."

The twins started laughing weakly from the floor. "Yeah, senior sister! Show us who's boss!"

Dahlia shot them both a death glare before stepping forward. "Fine. But if I break my legs... I'll break yours later."

Garion grinned, stepping back. "That's the spirit. Now show the Revalis Clan what real strength looks like."

She took her stance, breathing in deep. The bar shook as she squatted, her arms trembling but refusing to give in.

Garion shouted at her, cheering. "Down...! Now up!"

Dahlia let out a sharp yell and pushed with all her strength, the barbell rising slowly before locking at the top.

She dropped it back into the rack and fell to her knees, panting hard.

Garion smiled proudly. "Perfect. You've all completed your second of the Big Three."

Rynar lay flat on the ground, gasping for air. "Master… I think my soul left my body halfway down."

Rynor groaned beside him. "Mine left before we even started."

Dahlia sat nearby, still catching her breath, her hair sticking to her sweaty face.

"Master… please tell me that's all for today."

Garion chuckled, shaking his head. "Of course not. We still have one more left."

The twins froze. Dahlia stared at him in disbelief. "You're kidding."

Garion grinned. "Do I look like I'm joking? Now… it's time for the third of the Big Three… the deadlift."

The room went silent.

Rynar raised a weak hand. "Master, can't we just… imagine lifting it?"

Garion smirked. "No imagination training in my gym. We lift for real."

He turned around and began loading the plates onto the barbell until the total weight reached five hundred kilograms.

Rynor sat up slowly, his eyes wide. "Master… that's five hundred. As in five hundred kilograms."

Garion nodded. "Correct. You're both using your legs and backs this time, so it should balance out nicely."

Rynar stood up and frowned. "Should balance out? Master, this isn't a math problem. It's a murder attempt."

Garion laughed. "Come on, where's that fighting spirit? You both faced six people in the arena and won, didn't you?"

The twins exchanged looks. "Yeah, but we didn't lift six people at once!"

Raviel, who was watching from the side with Rendric, burst out laughing. "This is more entertaining than a tournament."

Garion pointed toward the barbell.

"Rynar, you're first. Remember the form I taught you. Keep your back straight and chest up, then pull with your legs."

Rynar walked over like he was heading to his execution.

He squatted, gripped the bar, and gritted his teeth. "Alright… I'll give it a try."

Garion nodded. "Good. Now lift!"

Rynar roared and pulled with all his strength.

The bar slowly rose from the floor, shaking slightly as his veins bulged. "Ghhhhaaah!"

Garion shouted encouragement. "Don't stop! Lock your knees! There! Hold it!"

Rynar managed to stand tall for a moment before slamming the bar back down.

He quickly collapsed to the ground, coughing out air and muttering weakly.

"Five hundred kilos… done."

Rynor gave him a thumbs-up from the floor. "Good job, bro. You look half-dead, but you did it."

Rynar glanced at him for a while and just smiled a little before cheering Rynor too.

"Good luck!"

Rynor frowned as he knew that he was next.
