Chapter 813 Qin Lan

Qin Lan snorted, "Ling Zhenfei, although I can't stop your rise in Binyang, you absolutely won't be able to develop in other cities, like the Provincial City."

Ling Zhenfei laughed after hearing this, "President Qin, I really don't know what to say to you. Since you don't believe in my abilities, I'll send you a big gift tomorrow."

Qin Lan was stunned. Last time after that meal in Binyang, the next day Ling Zhenfei's newly restructured sales company signed contracts with many of her former allies.

This led to ninety percent of upscale restaurants in Binyang using Xishan Manor vegetables, an almost terrifying scale.

Now Ling Zhenfei was saying he would give her a big gift in the Provincial City, which surprised him.

"Ling Zhenfei, your tricks are indeed numerous. What are you up to now?"

Ling Zhenfei knew that what happened at Xiya tonight would be all over the internet by tomorrow. It had only been a short time, and the matter hadn't spread online yet. By tomorrow morning, Qin Lan would see it.

But by then, Luo Juan would have likely already signed with many clients, so stopping Xishan Manor's rise would be impossible.

"President Qin, you'll know tomorrow. It's late, you should rest early, or you'll age faster."

"Ling Zhenfei, you're really crossing the line. I will make you regret this," Qin Lan said angrily.

"I'll be waiting for your news. See you,"

Ling Zhenfei didn't want to involve himself with Qin Lan any longer, so he hung up the phone and continued drinking.

One drink after another, trying to numb his nerves with alcohol. He didn't know how much he had drunk when someone sat next to him, observing him before moving closer.

"What's wrong, brother? Not happy? Drinking like this won't help."

"Mind your own business. Who are you?" Ling Zhenfei asked.

The person smiled, "You're out drinking, so you're either unhappy or too happy. You must be the former. Don't worry about who I am, meeting is fate."

The person snapped their fingers at the bartender and shouted, "Two Deathly Blazes!"

Soon, two glasses of red liquor were brought over. The person pushed one to Ling Zhenfei, "Try this, it's the real cure for sorrow."

Curious, Ling Zhenfei took a sip, finding it much stronger than the previous drink and quite good in taste.

The person clinked glasses with Ling Zhenfei and then walked away.

Ling Zhenfei ordered two more Deathly Blazes. After a few drinks his vision started to blur.

Soon, he caught a faint fragrance and saw a girl approach him.

She came close to him, smiling, "Hey there, drinking alone? Need some company?"

He glanced at the girl; she looked about seventeen or eighteen, very stylish with a petite figure, probably a bit older.

"Who are you? I don't need company."

She laughed, "I'm Guoguo. You've drank so much, you must have troubles, definitely love-related."

"You sure know a lot."

Guoguo laughed, "Of course. It's always about love. Women can be such a hassle and so fake, unlike me. I do this for money."

Ling Zhenfei then realized Guoguo was in that line of work, surprised at her directness.

He was stunned; Guoguo's words were true. Thinking of Bai Ling, after all that drinking, he felt very lonely on this night.

"Why work this job if you're a college student?" Ling Zhenfei was curious.

Guoguo, thinking he doubted her, quickly replied, "I really am a student, at the Provincial City's Film Academy, just doing this part-time to earn some money."

Ling Zhenfei was surprised that a Film Academy student would do this. If she became famous, what a dark history that would be.

"I'm not doubting you're a student. I'm just curious why a Film Academy student would work this job."

Guoguo said, "I have no choice. Do you know how much it costs to attend a Film Academy these days? Where do you think my makeup, clothes, and coaching come from? They all cost money."

He then understood the situation. It seemed nothing was easy.

Seeing his hesitation, Guoguo urged, "Brother, do you want this or not? I don't ask just anyone. I saw you looked like you had troubles, so I came over."

"How much?" Ling Zhenfei asked.

Guoguo smiled, "One thousand yuan per time. It's a reasonable price; my classmates charge two thousand yuan."

Ling Zhenfei smiled, "Alright, I'll give you one thousand yuan, just to sit and drink with me."

Guoguo laughed, "Really? Just drinking for a thousand yuan? And if I go to the hotel with you, is it another thousand?"

He laughed, "You're really good at this. We'll see if it's necessary."

Then they started drinking. The bar was dimly lit. Guoguo couldn't see Ling Zhenfei clearly, but he could see her. She seemed happy, thinking she had a big client.

Her face was made up, probably to hide her real look, worried about being recognized later.

They drank a lot. Ling Zhenfei felt the room spinning, barely hearing Guoguo's voice.

After a while, he felt himself being led out, supported by two men. He wondered where they were taking him, slightly surprised as he realized he was out of the bar, on the street.

He saw a girl in a coat leading the way; it was Guoguo. The two men held him, bringing him somewhere. Curious, he wanted to know where.

Guoguo led them through twists and turns to an old motel.

Inside the shabby motel, it still looked decent. They brought him to a room on the second floor, placing him on the bed.

One man said, "Damn, this guy is heavy. You should pay us more this time."

The other agreed, "Yeah, we've done this many times. You should really pay us more."
