Divine Doctor from the Start of the Eye Mutation

Chapter 361 Zhuo Yue

Ling Zhenfei knew the people opposite him were lying; their goal was to exchange Zhuo Yue for ransom, so it was impossible for them to release Zhuo Yue.

"Fine, but I need to hear my girlfriend's voice first. What if I go there and can't see my girlfriend?" Ling Zhenfei did this just to confirm whether Zhuo Yue was still alive.

"You're pretty clever, kid. Then listen carefully; I'll let her say a word to you."

After the person finished speaking, they heard Zhuo Yue cry out loudly: "Don't worry about me, don't come looking for me..."

Zhuo Yue shouted once before someone covered her mouth. Cries of Zhuo Yue came through the phone after she'd apparently been hit by the person on the other end.

"How about it, friend? You heard her, right? I didn't lie to you. Hurry up and bring me the memory card. As long as the item is fine, I'll release your girlfriend. But if you're too late, you know the consequences."

"Okay, I'll come right away. Tell me the address." Hearing Zhuo Yue's cries, Ling Zhenfei became even more determined to rescue her and knew he had to act quickly.

To Ling Zhenfei's surprise, however, the address given was for a bar, where he was to deliver the item to someone named Hu Biao.

Ling Zhenfei was certain that the kidnappers weren't in the bar — this Hu Biao at the bar was just a middleman.

After hanging up the phone, Ling Zhenfei took a taxi straight to the bar the caller had mentioned. Initially, he had no idea how to proceed with complete strangers, but now it was different. Since these people instructed him to deliver the item to Hu Biao, it meant Hu Biao must be in on it with them, or at least he knew them.

The bar was quite well-known, so the taxi driver knew exactly where it was and dropped Ling Zhenfei off right at the front door.

Ling Zhenfei understood that if he continued following their instructions, he would fall right into their trap. Now, to disrupt their plan, he had to take matters into his own hands. As for Zhuo Yue, they wouldn't kill her; without her, they'd get neither the list nor the money.

As soon as he walked into the bar, there were two big vases at the entrance, each over a meter tall. Ling Zhenfei walked up to them and smashed them on the floor, causing a loud crash — the expensive vases shattered. The service staff by the door hurriedly approached: "Hey, sir, what do you think you're doing!"

"What am I doing? Wrecking the place!" Ling Zhenfei said, while his hands were busy smashing the beautifully framed paintings hanging on the wall onto the floor.

"Someone is smashing up the place, call people quick!" The waiter was relatively calm, probably having dealt with similar incidents before, and immediately sent someone to call for backup.

In places like bars, it's not uncommon for trouble to arise, so every bar has a group of bouncers. It didn't take long for a herd of them to thunder down from the upper floors, arms filled with wooden sticks, cleavers, and all sorts of things, crowding around Ling Zhenfei.

"My name's Hu Biao, I watch over this place. Which group are you with, brother, to come and start trouble here?" A man stepped forward from the crowd — wearing a flashy shirt, the big bald man sported a gold chain and blue tattoos could be seen on his arms.

Ling Zhenfei knew this was the man he was looking for today, but he couldn't reveal this yet, and responded with a slight smile: "Actually, it's nothing major, I'm just particularly bored today and thought of giving you guys a bit of trouble."

"Fuck you, you're looking for death! You really don't appreciate a kind face. Brothers, break this kid's legs and throw him out," commanded Hu Biao, and the crowd around him surged in, swinging their weapons at Ling Zhenfei.

Ling Zhenfei was well-prepared, and because he was so anxious about Zhuo Yue being taken, he didn't hold back. The Spiritual Power in his hands flashed, and with the sweeping of his palms, bodies fell left and right. It took less than two minutes to knock a dozen men to the ground, leaving the entire hall in chaos.

Hu Biao certainly hadn't expected Ling Zhenfei to be so formidable on his own. Brandishing a knife, he lunged at Ling Zhenfei. Ling Zhenfei sidestepped slightly and caught the knife in Hu Biao's hand. The knife, now immobilized, wouldn't budge despite Hu Biao's attempts to pull it free.

"Let go, you little shit!"

"Fuck off!" Ling Zhenfei kicked him straight in the stomach, sending Hu Biao flying. Hu Biao, who was quite overweight, did indeed roll away after Ling Zhenfei's kick.

Hu Biao quickly got up from the ground, but before he could stabilize himself, Ling Zhenfei kicked him again, sending him tumbling several times. This time, without waiting for him to get back up, Ling Zhenfei approached and grabbed his fingers, twisting them with such force that Hu Biao howled in pain.

"If you want to keep your fingers, don't move!"

"Big Brother, don't joke, we can talk this out!" Hu Biao was terrified; he had never seen someone so ruthless.

Ling Zhenfei pulled on Hu Biao's fingers with force and walked into an empty single room. The things Ling Zhenfei wanted to ask were too dangerous, of course, he couldn't just talk about them freely in the hall.

"I ask, you answer. If you make me unhappy, your fingers will break."

"Ask away, ask away!" Hu Biao said, sweating from the pain.

"Someone asked me to deliver something to you, do you know that?" Ling Zhenfei wanted to see Hu Biao's reaction to judge whether he was informed.

Hu Biao looked at Ling Zhenfei in surprise after hearing this. Just from that reaction, Ling Zhenfei knew for sure that the kid knew something.

"Are you the one delivering the memory card?"

"That's right, it seems you really know. Come clean, who told you I was going to deliver the memory card?" Ling Zhenfei asked menacingly.

"It was my boss," said Hu Biao hesitantly.

"What's your boss's name?"

"Our boss is called Zhao Gang."

"Where is Zhao Gang now?" Knowing the name would make things a lot easier.

"My boss, he doesn't stay in one place, I don't know where they are now," Hu Biao said in pain. But before he could finish speaking, Ling Zhenfei twisted forcefully. With a snap, one of Hu Biao's fingers was broken. The pain made Hu Biao scream loudly. His face turned pale with the agony.

"I'm telling the truth," Hu Biao screamed, yet his tone was still defiant.

"But I'm not too happy with the answer. Continue, where is Zhao Gang?" Ling Zhenfei pressed on.

"Big Brother, I really don't know, he really doesn't have a fixed residence," Hu Biao replied more cautiously this time, looking like he genuinely didn't know.

"Then did he mention where to take the memory card once received?" Ling Zhenfei changed the question.

"I don't know, he just said to contact him!"

"Now call him, tell him you've got the stuff, and see what he says."

Having no choice, Hu Biao took out his mobile phone and dialed Zhao Gang's number.

"Let me warn you, don't try anything funny, or else you know the consequences," Ling Zhenfei whispered a reminder.

Hu Biao nodded, and at that moment, the call connected.
