Dressed in disguise, Lin Feng wore a hat and a face mask, quietly sneaking into the warehouse behind the Emperor Dragon Building.

The Emperor Dragon Group's warehouse was quite large, storing most of the group's goods.

It wasn't an open-air warehouse but more like a vast underground plaza, situated directly beneath the Imperial Building.

Numerous paths led to the warehouse. Although each path had surveillance cameras and patrolling staff, these were a piece of cake for Lin Feng. He slipped into the warehouse with ease.

Surveying the endless piles of goods in the plaza, Lin Feng felt a bit overwhelmed.

With so much cargo, a thorough search would take days and nights. Having no other choice, Lin Feng decided to do spot checks, randomly inspecting some of the goods.

He checked over a dozen different spots. Nothing here... Not this one... Still nothing...

Lin Feng was disappointed; he still hadn't found any trace of criminal evidence.

Just as Lin Feng was feeling incredibly frustrated, a sudden rush of footsteps startled him. Damn, I was so well hidden, how could anyone have found me? This doesn't make sense!

He cautiously poked his head out and saw a figure standing near a pile of goods. Unbelievably, someone else was there!

The figure was dressed head-to-toe in black, only their eyes visible—a classic night-prowler's attire!

Damn, that's a pretty stylish outfit!

Lin Feng smirked. This person doesn't look like they're part of the Emperor Dragon Group. Could they be a thief?

The figure in black also moved quickly, searching for something among the piles of goods.

The sudden, crisp sound of a message notification from his phone made Lin Feng wince. Damn it, my phone's ringing! Someone had sent him a text message.

At this hour, and to this phone number, only one person would text him—Ye Lin!

Fuck, of all the times for this girl to send a text, she chooses now! Is she trying to screw me over?!

Lin Feng inwardly complained. Didn't I tell her I was going to check out the warehouse? Sending a text now... is she afraid people *won't* know I'm here or something?

Seeing the figure in black approach his hiding spot, Lin Feng decided to drop the stealth and walked out from behind the goods.

They stood facing each other. The thief didn't seem scared. Upon seeing Lin Feng, they didn't retreat but instead advanced.

Then, with a sudden step, the thief threw a punch!

Damn, when did thieves get so bold!

Lin Feng wondered but didn't stay idle, immediately exchanging moves with the thief.

The thief dared to attack and wasn't weak, but unfortunately for them, they had encountered Lin Feng. The gap in their skills was significant.

After tentatively exchanging three moves with the thief, Lin Feng, worried the commotion would become too large and attract unwanted attention, decided to launch a proper counterattack.

His palm easily struck the thief's chest. He hadn't used much force, yet the thief stumbled back several steps before regaining their balance.

After the palm strike, Lin Feng froze for a moment!

Realizing her identity was exposed, the female thief attacked Lin Feng with another punch.

After about two seconds, both their gazes simultaneously landed on a large pile of goods in the center of the warehouse. Among them was a large, empty blue plastic barrel!

The plastic barrel was nearly person-high. It sat empty in the warehouse, its lid ajar, looking like discarded waste—perfect for hiding!

Without hesitation, Lin Feng darted to the plastic barrel, lifted the lid, and slipped inside.

Just as he was about to replace the lid, a slender leg extended into the barrel, followed, to Lin Feng's surprise, by the female thief herself!

The barrel wasn't spacious. It could barely accommodate two people if they curled up their arms and legs. Right now, it just about fit Lin Feng and the female thief.

Working together, they had just managed to get the lid back on when they heard footsteps approaching, followed by Zhao Si's voice, "Alright lads, check carefully. One round, then we'll go back and continue our game..."
