The Extra Reincarnated into the Royal Family of his Favorite Novel

Chapter 42: Decisive

He finished putting on bandages to support his shoulder a little, and although it hurt, he endured it with determination as Martin looked on in amazement.

He never thought he would be ordered around by the most despised princes, with such a loud and firm voice.

He never imagined that the ninth prince would be at the forefront of a mission in which he was the weakest. But what he said certainly made a lot of sense.

If they didn't get rid of that "controller," they would never find the "orchestrator," and that would simply be going around in circles while the orchestrator did whatever he wanted.

They would be the pig chasing the carrot, something they couldn't afford to do. That destroys organizations.

Furthermore, he didn't know how many organizations had thought of that. Maybe none, or several, but it meant they could be at the forefront of a major plot.

He didn't know how Ryan had obtained information about the orchestrator or the controller, but right now, he didn't care. It was a good opportunity to get ahead of all the organizations competing with them.

Ryan tested his bandaged arm. He could move it a little, but it would be difficult to fight in the short term, so he had to resign himself to using his left arm, which was less effective but was his maximum power at the moment.

"Did you see any beasts in that area?" Ryan asked suddenly, pulling Martin out of his own deep thoughts.

"No, there were only traps and some rooms with chains and a lot of blood, but not a single beast," he replied, sounding a little more respectful than before.

"Good." Ryan nodded and looked ahead. The beast had managed to pierce Cecily's giant puppet several times and was attacking wildly. Still, several additional puppets could be seen coming this way in the distance, so Cecily had brought almost her entire arsenal, except for those at a distance.

"This is our chance," he said. "How many hits could this giant beast take from you?" he asked.

"More than 10 hits if I have to find its core."

"The core is in the belly, right in the middle of that ton of fat," Ryan told him.

"Then you have to buy me time for three precise hits, 30 seconds each," he declared.

"Okay, that's enough. While that's happening, keep the Kazaks from getting close to us," he said, as he ran at full speed toward the beast.

This time, he wasn't going to hide his power because he needed to find that controller, which must be somewhere nearby. If he could find it, things would be easier for him.

So, he immediately activated his devouring ability and tried to search for strands of spirituality from this enormous beast that were scattered everywhere, swaying from left to right.

'As long as I grab one, it will be enough to start devouring you,' he thought, and his eyes sparkled as he lunged at one of them and stuck to it.

Martin sighed as he watched him run, and his spear danced in his hand.

"Now I'm excited to see what you'll do, Prince. I hope it's something interesting."

He immediately jumped to the side and prepared his attack. A spiritual projection attack.

'What is most effective against fat and evil?' he thought. "Light, heat, or electricity?"

Although he considered it for a second, he had already decided. 'A blast of heat and electricity to fry all this fat. Okay, time to make some rotten meat.' His body glowed with power, and his spirituality began to pour out as if trying to escape his body, but in reality, it was only the remnants of his spirituality.

That part he didn't need, and that only existed to demonstrate his power.

While Martin prepared his attack, Ryan quickly came over to talk to Cecily.

"We have to hold on a little longer to kill him. Use all your strength," he said, as part of the beast's spirituality flowed into his mouth.

Meanwhile, Samuel had understood what they wanted to do, so he went on his own to distract the Kazaks or kill them if he could. He was powerful, so he didn't have much trouble.

The biggest problem was this giant beast's ridiculously fast attacks, which had become even more frenzied since Ryan began devouring it.

Every second that passed was a new spiritual bite, and the spiritual energy inside became more and more abundant, while the beast grew weaker and weaker. Although it was only slightly weakened, the reality was that it was not a beast with abundant spirituality, so this weakening was noticeable.

Ryan attacked head-on in two ways: damaging it with his sword and devouring its spirituality. Given the difference in size, to those watching from the outside, there wasn't much difference in his attacks; perhaps only Cecily noticed it because she had seen it more closely the previous time, but the most significant difference was felt by the beast.

Twenty-five seconds had passed since it began to be devoured, and the equivalent of a beast had already been removed.

Once spirituality is depleted, these beasts, which only have life through it, die. So, one part of the body has been completely disabled, but the devouring continues!

Between Cecily and Ryan, they had managed to weaken the beast considerably in 25 seconds, and soon, the first 30 seconds had passed.

Suddenly, the temperature of the place rose dramatically.

And loud footsteps were heard from behind, followed by a spear striking the ground.

Martin began to approach, his power flaunting its greatness. His body flashed with energy, and anyone touched by him now would be electrocuted and burned. He gave off a heat that even affected the passive, moldy beasts on the walls and floors of the hospital, which began to retreat rapidly.

Ryan, Cecily, and even Samuel and the Kazaks began to feel a terrible heat that made them want to shed everything covering them.

But it was only the power of a Master Hunter; someone whose level reached the fifth on his Path.
