BEYOND THE BLAZE

Chapter 83: Dinner

Quietness settled in the house. A beautiful house painted in brown, a Japanese type with two stories, the first and second floors.

Elina and Erlin lived there, only them with no guardian, but they kept the house completely new. There were some tenants that lived there with them.

"What? The prince is cool, and you know, his style and swag?" Akirion got flabbergasted by the sudden no.

A bit of a giggle escaped Elina's mouth. "Hihi, you are more than cool!" Elina said, a warm chuckle binding her cheeks.

"Huh?" Astonishment prevailed in Akirion's heart as it got shaken by her words as he felt the cool words from her mouth. 'The what? I've got nothing to say. Her words are landing a huge impact on my heart. This nice feeling is making my body cold; a bit of fear is slicing it apart while the nice feeling is building it. This pain is something else, destroying and rebuilding at once.'

Akirion's eyes hung in the middle of nowhere after a 'huh' that received no support; his breathing pace followed behind.

Elina went to her bedroom, leaving Akirion lost in thoughts. She went and got the money and came back, but she found him in the same state, lost in thoughts, with no shake or movement.

. The mosquito sting had no chance to wake him up; only his name was the key to get him back to life.

"Hey Akirion! Hey! I'm waiting for you; I guess we should go. I've got the money." Elina said, waking him up. Suddenly he woke up and replied,

"What do you mean by you are waiting for me? Let's go if we are going. I'm ready if you are!" He said, his mouth spitting fast, cold words flying around.

Boom!! Erlin dropped in while Akirion and Elina were about to go.

"Hey, you two! Done with dinner?" Erlin asked, her voice faint, barely above a whisper. Her eyes were of someone who was tired.

Suddenly, her simple tired eyes snapped open, a silly thought coiled in her mind.

'What were they even doing inside, all alone? That's fishy!'

Suddenly, Akirion and Elina greeted Erlin back, and Akirion shot a life-saving question.

"Hey, did you take that money? Because I don't want to be embarrassed in front of the crowd when we run out of money!"

"Don't worry, I took enough!" Elina replied with a smile on her face.

"Sure, then let's roll. I should sleep soon, and I'm really tired so…"

"Sure!'

'Ohh, they only wanted to collect the money and leave, that's all? I'm such a me. I should just let them get away in order to execute our script.' She silently said while she walked to her room to change.

Meanwhile, Akirion and Elina suddenly left, their hearts aiming for a good restaurant in Elysia.

"So, where are we going exactly?" Akirion asked, aiming for a decent answer.

"To a nice restaurant, a good restaurant in Elysia."

"Are we going to afford that?"

"Relax, I've planned for this. And my money alone was going to be enough!"

"Okay, so let's get there and leave already because I'm sleepy!"

Their footsteps thudded on the road, the dark night hiding everything, but they were able to see where they were stepping.

"So, do you know where that place is? You know that nice restaurant?" Akirion fired a question, his eyes glaring at Elina.

"Don't worry, we are almost there; relax and enjoy!" Elina remained positive until they reached the restaurant she wanted.

They sat their feet on the restaurant. A place with a lot of people inside. The outside was looking nice, with the Japanese style.

They got inside and waited for a waiter for them to order. Akirion firstly gasped as he looked around the place; his eyes were widened as he scanned the place.

"Why do you look so surprised? What's wrong!" Elina asked, her eyes looking at Akirion, who was taken aback.

"Ahh, nothing, just that I've visited this place before."

"Ohh, that's good." Her face formed a beautiful grin, her eyes looking at Akirion, who was admiring the place.

"So, when was the last time you visited a restaurant?"

"Ahh, it was 5 years ago, and in this restaurant too."

"Ohh, so you never came back or anything?"

"No! That was my first and last. I'm always occupied, so I don't usually get the time to go around!"

"Ohh, I see; that's wonderful!"

"What is it?" Confusion fell on Akirion.

"That you've been to a restaurant before. So let's keep cool and order what we want, anything that you want; don't worry about the money."

The waiter arrived; Akirion and Elina's eyes were on the nice lady.

"Welcome, young couples!"

"What?"

"Aren't you young, ma'am? Even you, sir?"

"The point is… we are not couples, so don't expect us to be calm in that situation!" Elina replied a bit jumpy.

"Ahh, really? Why are you denying each other? You look good together, though!"

"Really?" Elina continued asking.

"Yes, as for me, I thought that you guys were married; you look totally good, no cap!"

"What do you mean, 'no cap?" Akirion asked as he got astonished.

"Ahh," she paused a bit, trying to think of how to reply. "It's like a slang way of saying it's the truth."

"Ohh?"

"Yes, mister, so are you going to deny this beautiful young lady right here?"

"Haa, I won't be denying her; I'll be telling the truth. We are not on a couple's dinner, just a friend dinner." Akirion explained.

"Ohh, so you guys are together here, you know, enjoying yourselves as young couples…" Instantly, the eyes glared at the waiter, with some warning glances. The waiter gasped and then continued, "I meant to say friends."

"Exactly, that's us. If I try to explain it, I'll just say, You are not even listening to what we are saying!" Akirion said, his eyes looking down.

"No no no, don't worry about that, I'm totally getting this! You are those to be young couples soon."

"You totally don't get it!"

"Just take the orders already; I'm getting tired of your blabbering." Elina said, her voice a bit deepened.

"Ohh, sorry, Mister and Madam. No, it's appropriate to say, 'Mister and Mrs. Mister.'"

"What is that supposed to mean?" Elina angrily asked, Akirion nodding in support.

"Just forget it, Mrs. Mister. Now, what can I get for you, younglings?"

They ordered what they wanted; the waiter left, leaving them alone with nothing to do; topics ran away from their minds, and quietness settled on them.

Meanwhile, Erlin and other scriptwriters and executors were ready to execute their plan.

Erlin changed her clothes and waited for the two guys, Renn and Liberty. Suddenly, Anda arrived.

"Anda?" Erlin asked, her eyes a bit disturbed to see Anda since she said that she had other things to do.

"Hey Erlin! Surprised to see me?" Anda asked, a grin beautifully molding her face.

"Of course I am. You said…"

"Forget about what I said and tell me your plan."

"There's no actual plan, just to follow those guys."

"How?"

"Hidden, obviously!" Anda nodded, her eyes gently closed.

Erlin continued, "So, what changed your mind? Tell me while we're waiting for those….."

Renn and Liberty arrived jogging, ready for the mission execution. Erlin, who was sitting at the doorstep, stood up and stretched herself, her bones crackling as she stretched more.

"It seems like it's time to go!" Erlin said, and the noise ran away, people ready to go out.

"Suddenly, Anda fired a question, destroying Erlin's last impactful words.

"So, do you know what restaurant they are going to?"

Meanwhile, Akirion and Elina received their orders and started digging in. They enjoyed their food while Erlin and her friends popped in.

"There they are!" Erlin spotted the two enjoying their food.

"Are you sure that these guys are in love?" Anda asked after she saw Akirion and Elina concentrated on their food without any weird love glances and grins that were forced out with the red faces of blushing people.

"Nothing smells ridiculous here; I don't even get it. Why did we follow these two? Akirion is just as normal as ever, so suspecting him to be in love is a waste of time!"

"Yeah, I guess you are right, Renn." Anda agreed with Renn, while Erlin and Liberty had their lips sealed, just their eyes were searching for a good spot to sit.

"They, you guys, keep quiet, and let's go there. There's a spot there, near them. I guess we should head there to hear everything they will be saying." Erlin finally opened her mouth.

They all followed Erlin, all heading to a table that was behind Akirion. They all passed next to Akirion and Elina, leaving Elina surprised as she smelled Erlin's scent.

'That's Erlin's scent,' Elina said, her mind racing as she saw those four passing by. Her eyes were glued on them, but their heads were covered with hoods and scarves as they hid their faces.

Akirion saw Elina's disturbance in her face, and he started to look behind him to see what caught Elina's eyes.

"What's wrong, Elina?" Akirion asked, food staked in his mouth.

"Ohh, nothing really, just a bit stressed, that's all!"

"What is it?"

"You know, Erlin, she's alone. I'm eating here, but she's just alone at home eating our everyday food while I'm enjoying myself here."

"Ohh, I feel what you are saying. Maybe you can order some for her; I'm sure it will land a smile on her face."

"Yes, that's a good idea. How did you even come up with that?"
