BEYOND THE BLAZE

Chapter 75: Furious

"Ohh damn fool, committing suicide in front of this crowd?" Akirion said, watching Lucas fly away, going straight to the wall.

He suddenly crashed into a wall, he coughed out blood, and his eyes shut while his nose ran with blood.

The blood flowed down his mouth and nose as the hard impact got him puking blood. The other students gasped; some screamed in fear as they saw Lucas stuck in the wall with his back swallowed by the wall and his front with no body movements.

Some of his classmates ran to his rescue, their eyes filled with tears and sorrow.

Meanwhile, Akirion got more furious, his brows furrowed, his eyes narrowed, and his whole face looking scary with intimidating lines that covered his face like tree roots.

He faced the monster, which turned and stared at Akirion, with its eyes filled with rage too, ready to fight Akirion since he was all ready for a good fight and the monster's arm was almost fully regenerated.

The two escaped the ground, leaving only the dust erupting where they were standing. Akirion was aiming for the neck with his sword while the monster spotted his face. It thought of punching his face to dust while he thought of beheading it.

The two met at the center, and an instant clash occurred; Akirion shot his attack while the monster used its arms for its defense, since it had a strong crust or skin on its arm as a shield.

The wind from the clash filled the ground, forcing the watchers to close their eyes from dust.

The two didn't end with a clash; the stage was filled with the sounds of a sword clashing on top of something strong like another metal.

They crossed attacks, Akirion attacking with his sword while the monster used its punches.

The stage was filled with tension and the smell of the monster, along with the overwhelming aura from the two, Akirion and the monster. Akirion had a golden aura, which was looming around him, while the monster had a brownish one.

The fight continued, the two exchanging blows in the air. Suddenly, the two failed to block each other's attacks; Akirion received a punch in the chest, while the monster received a cut on its face that sent the blood flowing down its cheek.

'Whoa, it's stronger than I thought. I should try something to finish it. We ain't got all day. I should act up.' Akirion silently said, figuring out what to do; his eyes were glued to the monster, while the monster did the same.

"...!" a sudden growl was heard from the monster, but no word was identifiable.

Akirion's eyebrow quirked as he got astonished by the sudden sound, since he thought that it wasn't capable of talking.

Akirion sneered, his eyes on the monster. Suddenly, the two eloped from where they were standing to the center, where they clashed and made a strength contest as Akirion used his energy to push the monster while the monster used its energy to block Akirion's energy.

'This thing is unbelievably strong.' Akirion silently said, his breathing speed a bit cutting as he kept holding on to his sword.

His eyes sparkled again, and suddenly an explosion occurred; Akirion was pushed to the back, and the same for the monster.

The two went and landed on their feet like a cat. Suddenly, Akirion swooped through the thin air, heading towards the monster, which was a bit relaxed as it thought that Akirion was also taking a breath.

"This kid is incredibly strong; maybe he's my …," the monster said, its voice growling, sounding a bit robotic but also deeply strong. Suddenly, it was cut as it felt motion next to it.

It gasped, and a sudden voice echoed in its ears.

"What did you just say?" Akirion asked; his voice sounded near the monster, and that made the monster gasp. Its breathing stopped, and it braced for an impact that was late.

Suddenly, its arm was chopped into pieces with Akirion's sword. This time its bravery faded, it screamed in pain, its voice echoed around the arena, and everyone nearby heard the screaming noise. Its eyes were widely widened, its mouth wide open without any hands, as the left pieces of arms stained the ground with blood.

Suddenly, a hush sound echoed in the monster's ears;

"Shhhh!" Akirion said, his sword ready to strike. This time, the monster was ready for the attack. It disappeared in front of the sword, and Akirion gasped as his eyes failed to catch up on its shadow since it swiftly escaped another slicing attack by the skin of its teeth.

Suddenly, Akirion got a kick on his back, sending him flying, and stopped near Lucas before he hit the wall. Gasps whirled over; everyone was scared of the monster since the school hero was sent flying.

"Damn, what's up with that sword? I can't even regenerate my hands. Damn, this is bad, totally!" The monster said, its eyes staring at Akirion, who spat out blood.

'Damn, I let my guard down. What a son of a…grrrrrr, I'm going to rip its bones apart. But how am I going to do it? Oh darn it, my hands are trembling. I wonder if I can finish this or not. The sidekick is done for, and I'm all alone!' Akirion muttered, his stomach clinging to the ground, his eyes a bit dizzy and sleepy as he felt exhausted.

Elina woke up and saw Akirion on the ground; she didn't even wait for anything, or to check on her sister, she charged towards Akirion.

"Akie, Akie! Are you okay?" she said as she landed on her knees, ready to grab Akirion's face. She suddenly felt a scary tension from a moving object, her mind blanked, and her eyes widened and stopped as if they were fitted somewhere. Her heart thudded louder, quietness filled her ears, and she didn't even hear the breeze that was blowing.

A sudden voice echoed happily, "Goodbye!" said the monster, with its teeth flashing around.

Suddenly, the sound of a cutting sword echoed from nowhere, and the blood sprayed Elina's face.
