Becoming a Billionaire after Divorce

Chapter 47: 4600W Mansion Secured

He heard the discordant voices.

Manager Wang, assertive even in the absence of anger, fixed his gaze on the troublemaker, Pan Yanyan. The lowest-ranked salesperson in the agency had certainly made an impression on him on his very first day.

"Wang, get her out of here," he ordered curtly. "Shouting and carrying on in the agency, what is this behavior?"

He didn't respond to Pan Yanyan directly. Instead, he motioned for one of the confidants he'd brought from another agency to remove her. He couldn't solve the underlying problem right now, so he would start by removing the person creating it. He couldn't let the situation escalate and get out of control. If the clients went to another agency, it would be a huge loss.

"Yes, Manager."

His reliable confidant, Wang, moved to comply. Unfortunately, the other salespeople, intentionally or not, crowded around Pan Yanyan, blocking his path.

"Make way," Wang pleaded as he tried to push through the crowd, but no one listened. He resorted to a threat. "Manager Wang is watching. You'd better move aside now if you know what's good for you."

His words had some effect, and a few of the more timid salespeople backed away. Still, many remained, crowding the space. They were already disgruntled about the new manager pushing out their old one.

Finally, a huge deal had come along. Everyone was supposed to compete for it based on their own merits, and whoever landed it would have earned the respect of their peers. But now, with a simple command, Manager Wang had assigned the deal directly to Wang Panpan, infuriating everyone.

No one here was a pushover. The salespeople at this agency were among the best in the entire district.

If this place won't have us, another will.

Amid this tension, Wang Chengwu's face turned ashen. Yet, he couldn't lash out on the spot and had to force a smile for his clients.

"Mr. Sun, Mr. Pi, I apologize for this farce," he said.

"The salespeople at your agency sure have distinct personalities," Sun Dasheng chuckled.

"It's a failure of my management. How embarrassing," Wang Chengwu said, wiping beads of cold sweat from his forehead.

The landlord interjected impatiently, "Let's get on with it. I have matters to attend to at my factory and don't have all day to waste here. Actually, how about we try another agency? This street isn't short on real estate agents," he suggested to Sun Dasheng.

Upon hearing this, Wang Chengwu could no longer maintain his composure. He hurriedly pleaded in a low voice, "Please don't! Our agency can offer the lowest commission. We'll only charge both of you a 0.5% brokerage fee. You can ask around—other agencies charge a minimum of 1%."

"Oh?" The landlord's interest was piqued. He glanced at Sun Dasheng.

Sun Dasheng just shrugged indifferently. "I'm fine either way."

"As for the salesperson..."

Sun Dasheng's words once again heightened the tension in the agency. Everyone stared at him, hoping to be chosen.

It was a slim hope, but what if a miracle happened?

"This bickering clearly isn't working," Sun Dasheng suggested. "Why don't the two of us, the parties involved in the transaction, choose the salesperson?"

Earlier, Wang Chengwu would have rejected this suggestion outright. He'd been hoping to use this deal as an excuse to flirt with one of the saleswomen. That was why he had immediately assigned the task to Wang Panpan upon entering. Before he came in, she had hinted that if he gave her the deal, she would invite him over to her place for a game of 'poker' that evening.

Now, however, he had no choice but to agree to the client's demand. Otherwise, the deal would fly out the window.

Sun Dasheng first turned politely to the landlord. "Mr. Pi, is there a salesperson here you're familiar with?"

He glanced around the store and shook his head. "The one I knew was just transferred away. You can decide."

Oh? The person he knew must have been the former manager.

"Then let's go with her," Sun Dasheng said, pointing at Zhong Liying, who stood out from the crowd. "I heard she was a top performer under the former manager. She's supposed to be very professional."

Hearing she was one of the former manager's people, the landlord also nodded in agreement.

Hit by the sudden surprise, Zhong Liying was still in a daze. Although she had been transferred back, she knew that once a person lost their standing, climbing back up was incredibly difficult. Sun Dasheng's casual remark was like returning a dying fish to the ocean; she felt instantly revitalized. A wave of incredible luck washed over her.

She was still standing there, stunned, until her best friend, Pan Yanyan, tugged at her clothes. Snapping back to reality, she walked up to Sun Dasheng and bowed deeply. "Thank you, Mr. Sun, for giving me this opportunity."

Sun Dasheng helped her up. "Helping me ensure this transaction goes smoothly is the best way to thank me."

The transaction went very smoothly. All the agreements were signed. He would have to wait for the official procedures to be completed before getting the property deed, but the house was already his.

Transaction amount: 46,000,000

The total commission paid by both parties was 230,000.

Zhong Liying received 45% of that fee, pocketing 103,500.

The other salespeople in the agency watched, their eyes red with envy.

"Mr. Sun, thank you for giving me this opportunity. Please, let me treat you to dinner," Zhong Liying said.

Sun Dasheng, having already eaten, was about to decline, but he agreed when he saw her pleading eyes.

She quickly grabbed her best friend, sensing the tense atmosphere and wanting to make a swift exit. The vibe in the agency was all wrong. If her best friend hadn't caused a scene, the deal would have gone to Wang Panpan. Staying here would surely lead to trouble.

She wasn't wrong. Wang Panpan was furious, believing that money should have been hers. Watching them leave, fire burned in Wang Panpan's eyes.

"Manager Wang, some people in this agency have no respect for the rules," Wang, the confidant, chimed in, adding fuel to the fire. "Your words are like passing gas to them—they don't listen at all. I think the problem with this agency is rotten to the core. You'll have to put in a lot of effort to straighten things out."

Wang Chengwu nodded. Though he didn't wear his emotions as openly as the other two, he was seething inside. What does a leader hate most? Insubordination. Subordinates who pretend to be compliant but defy orders behind your back. In short, disobedience.

Although the deal was closed, the numbers weren't impressive since he'd offered the lowest commission in the industry. Because of this, his superiors wouldn't be praising him for closing a major deal.

"What's the relationship between Zhong Liying and Mr. Sun?" he asked.

Before I start restructuring, I need to investigate everyone's connections. It would be trouble if I offend someone I shouldn't.

Wang, having transferred along with the manager, didn't know either, so he turned to Wang Panpan.

"Who knows? Maybe she satisfied him well in bed. Why else would it always be her?" Wang Panpan said bitterly.

"Oh? What do you mean by 'always'?" Wang Chengwu asked.

"Uh..."

The quick-witted Wang Panpan instantly realized her mistake.

This isn't slandering her, it's helping her! How can the manager dare to target her now?

But faced with the manager's stare, she had no choice but to tell the truth. Too many people in the agency knew about it for her to lie.

"The last time Mr. Sun rented a place, it was that vixen Zhong Liying who serviced him."

"Oh, so they are old acquaintances."

Old acquaintances are good. That means more potential business.

Seeing Manager Wang's expression, Wang Panpan panicked.

I can't let that Zhong Liying rise again! Otherwise, won't the resources I worked so hard to snatch from her just be taken back?

"Manager Wang, the drain at my place is clogged. Could I trouble you to come over and help me fix it tonight?" Wang Panpan purred, giving him a coquettish look and brushing her chest against his arm.

"Oh? Is it really necessary that I personally take care of this?" Wang Chengwu asked.

"Who else has your decades of experience? No one but you can handle it," Wang Panpan cooed, pressing herself even closer to him.

"Well, in that case, I'll definitely have to go and help out," Wang Chengwu said with a grin, reaching down to grab her rear.
