Becoming a Billionaire after Divorce

Chapter 82: Ouyang Jiani's First Experience and System Upgrade_3

Where am I?

My mind was a complete blank.

"Master, what's wrong with you?" an anxious voice asked. "Master, are you okay? Don't scare me..."

The sound of her crying finally brought me to my senses. I hurriedly hugged my good disciple, who was sitting by the bed. "Master is fine, so don't cry."

Sobbing, she said, "I thought you were..."

"Hahaha... what did you think happened to me? How could anything happen out of the blue?" I chuckled. "Master was just playing a prank on you."

At my words, Ouyang Jia Nai broke into laughter through her tears and began to playfully hit my chest. "Master, you're so mean! You weren't just acting; you looked like you really didn't recognize me. You scared me to death!"

"Heh heh... I'm hungry. Go get me something to eat," I said.

"Right, I was just trying to wake you up for breakfast."

"Then bring it in for your master."

"Okay... I'll go get it."

Watching her leave, Sun Dasheng immediately checked the updated system. Not much had changed, but the gray box that had been locking his experience points was gone. He could finally level up again.

Protagonist: Sun Dasheng

Level: 3 (1,000/10,000)

Occupation: Investor

Skills: None

Experience Points: 0

Withdrawal Value: 0

Personal Cash: 318,100,000

Investment Company Cash: 5,800,000

A "Skills" section had been added under his occupation. I wonder what these skills are? For now, it just says 'None.' Still, being able to level up again is the best update I could have asked for. So, the requirement to get from level 3 to 4 was to gather ten supporting characters. That's no small feat. Does this mean my recent indulgence in wine and women actually counted as actively completing a system task? What a fortunate mistake... a true blessing in disguise.

"Master, the food's here. Do you want me to feed you?" Ouyang Jia Nai asked teasingly, holding a tray with breakfast.

"Oh? That would be wonderful," I replied.

She had no idea her master was long past the point of embarrassment, with skin as thick as a city wall.

"Tsk! Master, do you have any idea how old you are? You still want your disciple to feed you personally? Have you no shame?" she chided.

"Shame? I wonder who was the one feeling shy last night," I retorted.

KO!

My single comment silenced her. She obediently brought the breakfast over and started feeding me.

"Ah! Open your mouth wider. I can't stuff it in."

What kind of suggestive talk is this?

After breakfast, she took the plates out to wash. A moment later, she hurried back, flustered.

"Master, my roommate is back! What should we do?" she said in a panicked tone.

Having finished his breakfast, Sun Dasheng leaned back comfortably against the headboard and picked his teeth. "What do you mean, 'what should we do'?"

"Master, I don't have time for jokes! My roommate is here, and you're still in my room! She's definitely going to see you! What am I going to do?"

"What do you mean, 'what should we do'?" Sun Dasheng repeated calmly.

However, seeing his disciple running around in a panic, he added, "How old are you? What's the big deal about bringing a man home?"

"Oh, right!" Ouyang Jia Nai stopped, instantly calming down. She patted her chest. "Heh heh... For a second, I thought I was still in college."

"So what if you were? I've heard that girls often have their boyfriends stay over in the dorms," I said.

"How is that possible? In our dorm, or even our entire dorm building, I've never heard of such a thing!" Ouyang Jia Nai, this little white rabbit, exclaimed, her eyes wide in shock.

Their relationship had clearly taken a step forward and grown much more intimate. This was why Sun Dasheng was chatting with her about these things now. In the past, their conversations revolved solely around work.

"Just because you haven't heard of it, or no one around you has done it, doesn't mean it never happens, right?" Sun Dasheng said with a smile. "Did you think I was lying to you? Seeing is believing, you know. I've seen plenty of it in those short videos."

"Wow! Master, can you send me one of those short videos?" Ouyang Jia Nai asked, her interest piqued.

Sun Dasheng gently pushed her head away. "What are you thinking? Do you want your master to knowingly break the law? That stuff is something you watch by yourself. It can't be shared with others. You'd better remember that."

"Oh..." she replied. Apparently, she really hadn't known that little fact.

A moment later, a voice called from outside the bedroom.

"Jia Nai, are you home?"

Taking her master's words to heart, Ouyang Jia Nai was no longer panicked and had calmed down considerably. She replied, "Yeah, Shi Shi, I'm still here! I have something to take care of, so I'll head to work a little later."

"What could you possibly be busy with?" The voice drew closer, and then the bedroom door was pushed open.

The young woman in the doorway froze. The smile on her face vanished as if time had stopped. After a long moment, she regained her composure, stared at the unfamiliar man on her roommate's bed, and asked, "Jia Nai, is this your boyfriend?"

It was a fair question. Who else could he be? After all, what woman brings a man who isn't her boyfriend home and lets him sleep in her bed?

"Heh heh... Shi Shi, let me introduce you. This is the person I told you about before, the one who's been taking care of me ever since I graduated. This is my master, Sun Dasheng." She then turned to me. "Master, this is Lou Shishi, my college classmate and a very close friend."

"Hello," Sun Dasheng greeted her first.

"Sun..." Lou Shishi stammered, unsure of how to address him.

"Just call him Brother Sun. He's only about ten years older than us."

Ouyang Jia Nai's explanation seemed to have the opposite effect. Lou Shishi covered her mouth and exclaimed in surprise, "Jia Nai, you can't be serious! Brother Sun only looks a few years older than us. How could he possibly be a decade older?"

The veiled compliment pleased Sun Dasheng. He got off the bed and said with a smile, "Thank you for the compliment, but I really am more than ten years older than you. I was born in '90."

Lou Shishi wasn't focused on his claim of being born in the '90s. Instead, she found herself completely captivated by his well-defined muscles.

Those muscles look so firm! I really want to go up and touch them... I wonder if Jia Nai would mind?
