Becoming a Billionaire after Divorce

Chapter 82: Ouyang Jiani's First Experience and System Upgrade

"Pah! Pah! None of that talk about dying."

"Why didn't you turn on the exhaust fan when you were showering? You ended up passing out from lack of oxygen."

Hearing her master's words, Ouyang Jiani finally came to her senses.

"Ah! I thought I was going to die…" Ouyang Jiani threw herself into her master's arms, crying.

Then, she noticed something was wrong. Her body felt cool and exposed. She looked down. Her face instantly flushed crimson, like a sunset.

Why aren't I wearing any clothes...? I'm going to die! And in front of my master, too! What am I going to do now?

She was mortified. She buried her head in her master's chest, not daring to look up for fear of dying from embarrassment on the spot.

Sun Dasheng didn't think much of it, assuming her reaction was just a normal emotional fluctuation after such a scare. Anyone would take a while to calm down after a brush with death. He understood.

He gently patted her smooth back, comforting her. "It's okay, it's alright now. With your master here, how could anything happen to you?"

He let her lean on him and cry for a while longer. When the sobs of the girl in his arms subsided, he finally said, "You should get dressed first. Don't catch a cold."

The mention of getting dressed made Ouyang Jiani cling to him even tighter, her arms refusing to let go. Sun Dasheng looked down, saw the blush on her ears, and seemed to understand.

Smiling, he whispered beside her ear, "Your master was just in a hurry to save you and wasn't thinking clearly. You won't blame me, will you?"

The head buried in his chest shook, and a muffled voice replied, "Why would I blame you, Master? If you say that again, I'll get angry."

"Alright, alright, it was my fault. Can you let go, then? I'll turn around and go out. I won't peek."

That remark was like stepping on a cat's tail. She lifted her head. "What are you saying, Master? Don't you dare talk about yourself like that. You're my best master, the most important person in my heart. I won't have you saying things like that about yourself."

Seeing her pouting lips, Sun Dasheng smiled. "Okay, okay, I misspoke again. But can you get up now? If you don't get dressed soon, you'll catch a cold. Even though it's warm during the day, it still gets quite cold at night."

After her master urged her repeatedly, continuing to disobey would make her seem unreasonable.

"Alright, I'll listen to you, Master." She struggled to sit up, only to find she couldn't muster any strength.

She looked at her master with an innocent expression. "I don't seem to have any strength."

"Master, can you help me get dressed?"

She didn't know where she found the courage to utter those words. In ancient times, that would have been a great transgression, the act of a rebellious disciple challenging her master. The moment she said it, she regretted it. Will he think I'm a frivolous person? Will he be angry?

She looked up, her eyes meeting Sun Dasheng's dark gaze.

He suddenly pinched her cheeks. "What nonsense are you spouting, you little rascal? How could your master help you get dressed?"

"Haven't you heard the old saying? 'Men and women should maintain distance and not touch.' It was an emergency earlier, a matter of life and death, but how could I do such a thing now?"

"But another old saying goes, 'A teacher for a day is a father for a lifetime.' What's wrong with a father helping his daughter get dressed?" Her body may have been limp, but her tongue certainly wasn't.

Sun Dasheng patted her head exasperatedly. "A father helps his daughter get dressed when she's a little child. Of course it's not okay when she's grown up."

"How old do you think you are?"

"I'm only three," Ouyang Jiani whined playfully.

PFFT... Sun Dasheng burst out laughing.

Thankfully, his body was quite warm, and his embrace was cozy. Otherwise, in the time they had been bantering, the stark-naked Ouyang Jiani would have already caught a cold.

"Why isn't there a blanket on your bed?" If there had been a blanket, he wouldn't have needed to say so much; he would have just stuffed her under it long ago.

"No blanket? That can't be right…" Ouyang Jiani finally realized something was amiss. She looked around and discovered a small, embarrassing problem. This didn't seem to be her room, but her roommate's.

"Master, my roommate is a good friend from college. She's on a business trip down south for a few days, so she must have put her blankets and things away."

Hearing this, Sun Dasheng almost rolled his eyes. Great. I ask her to point to her room, and she points to the wrong one.

But he couldn't really blame her. She had been drunk and groggy at the time, her mind in a haze, so pointing to the wrong room was an understandable mistake.

"You really are..." Sun Dasheng couldn't bring himself to scold her in the end. The little girl in his arms squirmed uneasily, afraid he would.

Sun Dasheng glanced down and was met with a vast expanse of pristine white. He quickly averted his eyes.

He was out of options.

He took off his jacket, covered her with it, and then wrapped her up tightly like a little burrito.

"Master, be gentle! You're squeezing me, it hurts."

Sun Dasheng replied exasperatedly, "If I don't wrap it tightly, how am I supposed to cover everything? What if it comes loose and something shows?"

"If something shows, then it shows. It's not like there's anyone else at home," Ouyang Jiani cooed.

"Your master is 'someone else' right now! What is going on in that little head of yours? What kind of things are you saying? Aren't you ashamed?"

"What's there to be ashamed about? You've already seen everything, Master. There are no more secrets between Jia Nai and you, so what does it matter?"

Heh! Just a few minutes ago, she was blushing at the slightest thing. How had she become so bold?

Sun Dasheng had guessed right. For Ouyang Jiani, being naked in his arms was the first time she had ever been so close to her master.
