From Blade To Spell

Chapter 88: Loots

Aaron, unfazed, asked,

"Elina, right? Do you have any basic wizard books

something that can help me learn the wizard language?"

Elina looked at Aaron, curiosity flickering in her eyes. "Aaron, why do you need those books?"

Aaron replied without hesitation, "Of course I want to learn more about magic, monsters, and the mysteries of the world. But everything I've found is written in some strange language, I can't read any of it."

Elina was stunned. "Then how did you learn the spell?

You can cast it perfectly. Or… did you find a magic artifact?"

Aaron waved his hand dismissively. "Hey, I learned the spell. I just don't know how. I remember fainting, and when I woke up, there was extra memory in my mind

how to cast that spell… and two more."

He lied with a straight face, masking the truth behind his calm demeanor.

Elina was stunned. She couldn't help but murmur, "Maybe you triggered a wizard inheritance…"

She paused, giving Aaron a complicated look a mix of curiosity, awe, and disbelief.

Aaron, unfazed, asked, "So, can you help me get basic knowledge on wizard books?"

Elina replied thoughtfully, "Aaron, it's not that I don't want to give it to you…but we wizards believe in equal exchange."

She paused, then added, "How about this you teach me the runes of your Light Spell, and in return, I'll give you the Wizard Dictionary. It records all translations for three days."

Aaron considered it. It wasn't ideal, but it was better than nothing.

He nodded. "Deal. How about we begin the exchange tomorrow?"

Elina hadn't expected Aaron to agree so easily. "Then tonight, you can draw the runes. Tomorrow, hand them over to me."

"No problem," Aaron replied.

Then he added, "Since you don't have a place to stay, you're welcome to stay in my territory tonight."

Elina nodded, and Melina followed quietly behind.

As they entered the gate, Elina was stunned to see the surroundings, the area was filled with organized tents, neat and orderly.

Khumba approached, eyeing Lord Aaron and the unfamiliar guests with a confused look.

Aaron said, "Old Chief, please arrange a few tents for them. Also, more people might be coming, tell Rumba to wait at the gate. And ask the chef to prepare food for them."

Khumba bowed, "Okay, Lord Aaron."

He turned to Elina and Melina, "Miss, please follow me."

As they walked, Elina couldn't help but notice how clean the territory was. Unlike other places she'd visited, there was no foul air, no trash, no chaos.

Melina noticed too. "Old Chief, I don't see anyone loitering. The place is spotless. Is there a reason?"

Khumba smiled. "Miss, you might not know, but these changes were brought by Lord Aaron. Our lives used to be miserable. We had to move camps every three days. But everything changed after he arrived."

"He ordered the construction of wooden walls, and even insisted on building proper bathrooms separate ones for men and women. People can bathe, relieve themselves, and live with dignity."

He paused, then added, "Lord Aaron strictly prohibits littering. Anyone caught doing so is punished, their contribution points are deducted."

"So everyone is careful. Even if someone dirties the place by accident, they clean it immediately."

Elina was stunned, and so was Melina. Even in the royal cities, things weren't this clean. The idea of a dedicated bathroom amazed Melina.

A few minutes later, Khumba said, "Miss, please wait here for a moment."

He walked over to Kelly's tent and called out, "Kelly, are you here?"

Kelly poked her head out and said in an anxious tone, "Old Chief… have the undead been defeated?"

"Yes," Khumba replied.

"I need you to gather a few women to help set up tents.

They're guests of Lord Aaron. Also, don't mention anything about the Ballista."

Kelly nodded and stepped out to gather help.

Khumba returned and asked Elina, "Miss, is there anything else you need?"

Elina shook her head. "Nothing for now."

"If you need anything, please let me know," he added, then stood quietly to the side.

Meanwhile, Aaron found Rumba.

"Have you stored the Ballista?"

Rumba nodded solemnly. "Yes, Lord Aaron."

"Good. Also, alert the guards, no one is to speak about today's events. Especially the Ballista."

"Understood."

Rumba gathered his team and went to warn the others.

Aaron knew it was time to talk sense into his people.

Weapons like the Ballista were too valuable to be casually mentioned. He needed to ensure discipline and discretion, especially with outsiders now present.

Back at the tent.

Aaron immediately opened his inventory.

He had a feeling, especially after slaying that werewolf,

that something valuable had dropped. But as his mind was busy on Elina's team so he didn't dare to check.

As the inventory screen unfolded before him,

his eyes widened.

It was packed.

The loot this time was incredible.

He realized just how overpowered his Loot Skill truly was.

Supplies like ropes, oil barrels, and nails, things that would normally take days to gather, were now his, just from slaying undead.

And then there were the rare drops.

- The Profession Scroll: Alchemist glowed red, a highest-tier item.

- The Ring of Archmage and Wand of Necromancer shimmered in purple, radiating power.

- Several items glowed blue, like the Robes of Wizard and Experiment Tables.

- And many others gleamed green, including enchanted arrows, spells, and even oddities like the tiger penis, wolf tail, and human skulls.

Aaron couldn't help but grin. This was more than loot, it was a treasure trove.
