It was Monday morning, and the school already buzzed with excitement. The league draws were finally happening.
All weekend, Maya had been on Kael's case. She wouldn't stop nagging him about what he did to the Reidin gang. She even teased him with one of her sharp questions: "Don't tell me you've actually fallen in love?"
Kael, of course, had just waved her off. Love? Me? Nah, she's just being dramatic. But deep down, he didn't even bother to argue. What was the point? He wasn't about to explain himself.
Now, dressed in the bright Azure Blue jersey of his team, Kael walked into the sports hall with the rest of the Azure Legends. His hair hung over his face like always, covering those sharp eyes. The other teams eyed them with little respect, some even openly laughing.
Maya, watching from the stands, crossed her arms. This idiot… he doesn't even care what people think. Does he really know what he's doing?
Samantha sat quietly a few rows away, eyes following Kael. She didn't say anything about what she knew—his speed, his power. She kept it all locked inside. They wouldn't understand him anyway. If they knew, it'd just bring him more trouble.
On the big screen above the stage, the brackets for the soccer league flickered to life. Ten teams. Ten ambitions. The announcer's voice echoed through the hall, reading the matchups.
The rules of the league scrolled beneath the matchups. They were strict—no elemental usage. Any attempt to bend the rules, and the elemental would be thrown out of the league.
Kael smirked faintly to himself. So that's how it is. No elementals, huh? Guess it's gonna be tough for them. But me? I'm not even an elemental. This game… it's perfect.
The other teams were whispering, pointing, laughing whenever the name "Azure Legends" came up. Everyone knew their reputation.
"Pfft, what a joke team."
"They're dead before the season even starts."
Kael sat back, resting his chin in his palm. He didn't even flinch at the ridicule. The only thing that mattered was what happened on the field.
Maya sighed and shook her head. I don't know whether to call him insane or fearless. But knowing him, he'll drag everyone into his storm sooner or later.

On the big screen above the stage, the brackets for the soccer league flickered to life. Ten teams. Ten ambitions. The announcer's voice echoed through the hall, reading the matchups one by one.
"First match—Silver Blades versus Crimson Horns."
Cheers and jeers rang out.
"Second match—Shadow Fangs versus Steel Breakers."
The noise grew louder. Excitement spread through the hall like fire.
Finally, the announcer paused dramatically before reading the next matchup. "Third match—Azure Legends… versus Thunder Hawks!"
The crowd exploded.
Gasps, laughter, and mocking cheers filled the hall.
"No way! Azure Legends are finished before they even start!"
"Thunder Hawks? Bro, they're top three! This isn't even fair!"
"This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Azure Legends are gonna get crushed."
Some students were laughing so hard they almost fell out of their seats. Even members of the other teams shook their heads in disbelief.
The Azure Legends themselves looked shaken. Whispers ran among the players, nervous glances traded back and forth.
Kael, however, leaned back on his chair as if nothing happened, his fingers tapping lazily on the table. His face was calm, too calm.
Thunder Hawks, huh? Guess this league wants to test us right away.
From the stands, Maya buried her face in her hands. This is bad. Why does he keep dragging himself into the worst possible situations?
Meanwhile, Samantha's lips pressed into a thin line as she clutched the strap of her bag tightly. Everyone's laughing… but Kael isn't worried at all. That's the scary part.
The announcer's voice thundered again, drowning out the noise. "Azure Legends versus Thunder Hawks. First round match confirmed!"
The cheers and mocking cries rose to their peak. It felt like the entire hall had already decided the outcome.
And in the middle of it all, Kael just gave the faintest of smirks beneath his hair.

Even during lectures, everyone were talking about the draw. Three matches will be played tomorrow ,and Azure Legends are facing the 3rd best team, which is a sure loss....according to the students.
