Nailisi blushed slightly. She knew that there was no use beating around the bush in front of Saleen. This Master of hers was greedier than she was.
“Master, the Three Kings also left behind their three scepters…”
“I will keep them. It would be dangerous for you to use them. You might be influenced to become like them. Their Master must be a powerful person that is at least grade-10.”
“Of course, Master will keep them. As for their spatial equipment…”
“I will check it.”
“Master!” Nailisi raised her voice in urgency.
“Why the impatience? If there is anything suitable for soldier, I will definitely give it to him. The rest will be given to you,” Saleen replied in a tired voice. Sika was already staring at Nailisi. Nailisi was aware and had no choice but to take out the three rings she found.
They were spatial equipment of a very ancient design. At first glance, they were dark gray in color and were similar to the bones of spirits of the dead.
Saleen reached out with his right hand and took the three bone rings. He observed them with his elemental eye and marveled, “Spatial equipment of this grade is even more powerful than dimension stones. Since dimension stones are God-given items and have been refined, these bone rings still cannot be compared to dimension stones.”
Although Saleen was still unable to refine spatial equipment yet, his elemental eye was already familiarizing with how to make use of space and to store items of other grades. The size of the bone rings was not fixed. When they were worn on the fingers of the Three Kings, they could contract internally and merge entirely with the wearer.
Regardless whether the Three Kings transformed into skeletons or reverted back into their original forms, they had always kept these three rings hidden. It was only after they died that Nailisi managed to pluck them away.
“The scepters?”
“Here,” Nailisi was a bit unwilling in handing over the scepters. Saleen handed them to Sika and said, “Keep them away and store them in the Ring of Gifts.”
Saleen was finally at ease after Sika took the three scepters. The Seal of Divine Power was kept in the Ring of Gifts. Only the Ring of Gifts, which was personally refined by the Goddess of Myers, could isolate its contents from the world. Even if the Three Kings’ master were to come, he would never know the whereabouts of the scepters.
“Come, let’s take a look in the warehouse.” Although Saleen was unable to open up the three rings immediately, he could sense that the space within these rings was immense. This room might not be able to store all of their contents.
“Master… I am a bit tired.” Nailisi could no longer contain her sleepiness. She had tolerated it until now so that she could get her hands on the items she wanted before going into a deep sleep.
This was when Saleen recalled that Nailisi had swallowed the soul flames of the two of the Three Kings. She might be about to develop her fifth ability.
“Go ahead. I want to keep Judikaka’s corpse. The lightning dragon’s as well. As for the corpses of Diyabannersa and Banchajanna, you can have them.”
“Thank you, Master,” Nailisi was pleased. She took out her bracelet and handed them to Sika before dashing off quickly.
“Sika, send more men to protect Nailisi.”
“I know. I have already deployed another five-hundred Caucasus warriors to patrol around the temple. All of them will only listen to my orders so there is no way anyone else will be able to enter.”
Even as they spoke, the two of them used the teleportation portal on the sixth level and transported themselves to the warehouse under the temple.
Saleen retrieved the lightning dragon’s corpse first. Within the bracelet, he discovered that the lightning dragon’s gigantic magic nucleus had already been divided into twenty-four portions by Nailisi. Saleen was stunned, but immediately understood that Nailisi had already absorbed the power of the lightning dragon’s egg. If she devoured the lightning dragon, the abilities would be replicated, so she decided to leave behind the magic nucleus.
The magic nucleus was perfect and unscathed and could be used for other purposes if it had remained untouched. Nailisi has already made the decision for Saleen. Splitting the lighting dragon’s magic nucleus into twenty-four portions would allow Saleen to feed them to his twenty-four small lightning dragons so that they could advance.
At least there was a limit to Nailisi’s greed. She would still leave behind the things that she knew Saleen would need.
Saleen fed the twenty-four small lightning dragons in the Goddess’ Necklace with the magic nuclei. He could not wait for the day when the twenty-four small lightning dragons could finally fly. By that time, no one would dare to challenge him anymore.
Next, Saleen patted the calabash on his waist and released a stream of water. His water puppet was severely injured and would not be able to battle for the time-being, but the stream of water was not affected by the injuries. Saleen used the stream of water to cut up the lightning dragon’s corpse with ease. Although the lightning dragon was a grade-10 creature, its scales were not very tough. Usually, any potential attacks would be nullified by the lightning surrounding its body, its scales were not as tough compared to other high-level creatures.
Saleen used very little energy to control this stream of water and was even able to admire the spoils of war from the Three Kings.
Saleen did not touch Judikaka’s ring. First, he opened Diyabannersa’s spatial ring and forcefully poured out all the items stored in it and it instantly filled up an entire level of storage space.
It was all rubbish! To Saleen’s frustration, he found that more than half of the items in Diyabannersa’s ring were useless. Perhaps ‘useless’ was too strong a word. His elemental eye could easily see that there were paintings, porcelain, and metal sculptures. It was all art pieces dating back more than ten-thousand years.
These pieces could definitely fetch high prices if they were sold to noble families.
Nevertheless, Saleen was not an art lover and these things did not interest him. This fellow must have spent all his time collecting these art pieces, causing his fighting abilities to be so weak!
There were a few books on death magic, tens of scrolls of death magic, and gray-colored magic nuclei that were likely taken from magic beasts from the death dimension.
Fortunately, there were thousands of armor sets in Diyabannersa’s ring. The armor sets were refined using spirits of the dead and possessed summoning ability. Every armor has been sealed with a middle-grade spirit of the dead that was at least the grade of a flame knight. The armor was likely refined during the Three Kings’ free time so that it could be used in battle on the death dimension.
These items could be given to spirits of the dead that possessed intelligence, like winged skeleton, or even to humans. From this point alone, the Three Kings had likely been taught and guided by human mages before.
Of course, these armors would be given to winged skeleton. The winged skeleton might not need the equipment for himself, but it would be useful for his subordinates.
Other than the surprising armor sets of spirits of the dead, there were also some rare metals from the death dimension. Saleen concluded that he would keep these metals for himself for future research.
There were very few items in Diyabannersa’s ring that could be given to Nailisi. Those antiques were still worth quite a lot of gold coins.
Saleen split the items in simple categories. Since there were no special items, he began to keep them again, leaving behind only the magic nuclei which he stored in his own devil’s ring.
Next was Banchajanna’s ring. There were much more items in this ring compared to Diyabannersa’s. The items were kept in an orderly fashion. Even Saleen was surprised to see that every item has been neatly categorized. When Banchajanna was alive he would always deal with things haphazardly, but all his items were actually properly categorized. This saved Saleen the trouble of having to categorize them.
There were many books, diagrams, magic nuclei and metallic materials. There was also magic medicine stored in a jade bottle, skeletons of spirits of the dead that had been partially refined, and a spirit pool that measured one yard in diameter.
When Saleen saw the spirit pool, he knew that most of Banchajanna’s wealth must be kept there. Although the spirit pool was only one yard in diameter, it was made up of a very rare kind of chlorite and it was so pure that there were no impurities.
If Saleen cut up this spirit pool and sold it, he would be able to fetch a price that was almost equivalent to his Metatrin City.
Chlorite was too rare and could barely be found on the Myers Mainland, death dimension, or demon dimension now. Long ago, when they were more common, chlorite of such size was unheard still. Saleen had no idea how Banchajanna managed to get his hands on it. Perhaps his master gave it to him.
Saleen was right. This spirit pool was refined by the Three Kings’ master, Shanglan. At that time, the Three Kings were still middle-grade spirits of the dead. After leaving the death dimension for such a long time, their powers reduced drastically. Shanglan refined the spirit pool so that the Three Kings could absorb the aura of the dead anytime.
After reaching the level of king, Banchajanna and the rest no longer had any use for the spirit pool so it was left aside and had not been used for the past ten-thousand years.
The item could be used on the pan’s turtle alchemical boat. Saleen considered dismantling it into smaller components and selling it, but decided that it would be too conspicuous selling chlorite so he would use it for himself instead.
Saleen did not care for the other magic weapons. After using the dimension stone to collect all of Banchajanna’s items, Saleen finally took out Judikaka’s ring.
Judikaka’s death was caused by Banchajanna. If the latter had not started attacking first, the former would have made use of the power of the scepter to escape. Saleen was originally fearful of such a clever death king. No one would have expected Judikaka to die so easily and without resistance.
Judikaka had the fewest items in his ring. There were one-hundred and ten perfectly unscathed equipments that could be used by either spirits of the dead or humans. The equipments were of very high grade and even the lowest grade item was a godly item. Saleen noticed none of these. His attention was immediately captured by a gold zombie.
The zombie still looked the same as it did when it was alive. It had the face of a beautiful young lady. The zombie was holding onto a long spear which was also gold in color.
Based on the gold zombie’s equipment, patterns on its armor, and the badge on its chest, Saleen felt like he had seen it before. It looked like they belonged to a holy knight of the Holy See.
This holy knight was of a high level when it was still alive and was at least a corp leader. As for how she turned into a zombie, Saleen was not interested to know. His elemental eyes were locked on the zombie and feared that she would suddenly come alive and start attacking.
“Saleen, she is completely dead …”
Saleen understood that this zombie was only left with a physical body and its soul flame must have been extinguished long ago. If this zombie was still capable of fighting, Judikaka would have summoned it long ago to fight against Saleen.
Saleen had never heard of gold zombies before. The zombie’s abilities should remain the same, regardless of being dead or alive. All holy knights were strong and powerful and its leader was said to be a gold grand swordmaster.
Saleen hesitated. Should he give this strange zombie to the winged skeleton or Nailisi? Or perhaps, he should just keep it for himself.
