Chapter 1213: Crazy, Sick Place (Part 1)

Agares frowned hard. The world outside the magic tower was a clean sheet of white. White sky, white river, white mountains, white ground, and…a group of white people in a literal sense.
The people were the same proportion and size as Myers Mainland humans and wore clothes. However, they were completely snow-white, including their eyebrows, moustache, hair, and nails.
Even their lips and gums were snow-white.
Like Saleen said, the world had no shadows.
There was no sun in the sky, as light was everywhere. If they did not reach out to the beings with their senses, they would not have been able to tell anything apart.
“This is one crazy, sick world,” Nailisi quipped. To demons, darkness was beautiful and demons were able to see further in the dark, and their senses abnormally sharp in such environments. At least half of the plants in the demon plane had no need for sunlight. They only needed heat to survive.
“This is a stolen divine kingdom. Every single being here believed in the Lord of Glory. Of course, the beings were originally believers of other gods. Lucky for us, the Lord of Glory hasn’t had this world for a very long time. Or else, the Lord of Glory would be able to come in himself,” Agares explained to Saleen.
“How do you come to know so much?”
“My interests. My one interest is to become a great assassin. But killing humans is boring. Someday, I’ll kill the gods one by one. A divine kingdom crumbles with every god killed. How beautiful.”
“You’re rather sick,” Nailisi quipped again.
“Maybe. Only obsession keeps you alive. Isn’t that a mage saying?” Agares was hardly irked by Nailisi’s words.
“Seems to me that the beings are not that hard to deal with.” Truman stood by Saleen. The control of the tower were left to the water puppet.
“It’s the other way around. See, the kids are almost professional swordsmen level. In comparison, humans at such an age are not professionals by any definition unless they’re specifically trained.” Saleen was able to tell that while the beings looked like humans, they were actually another type of being.
“How about getting someone to have a look outside, Saleen?”
“Sure. Who?”
Agares waved and summoned an assassin from his shadow. Saleen scanned them with his Elemental Eye and found them to be a level seven assassin.
Agares said that he had 101 spectral servants. If all of them were level seven, it would make him very tough.
It was not difficult for assassins to kill higher level individuals. It was difficult to defend against over 100 assassins.
The assassin covered their face with a magic cloth, and held a thin, narrow blade in their hand. They knelt before Agares and said nothing, waiting Agares’ orders.
“Saleen, I think you can send one of your figures out there. The figures’ powers could maintain a shadow without spending much. My spectral servants are capable of hiding in the shadow of your figures.”
“Alright.” Saleen looked at the ground outside. The divine kingdom was built on another star and his figure would not lose its power. The elements around were balanced. The white holy light was unable to destroy elements. It was only able to weaken them a little.
Saleen was capable of commanding about 1,000 star figures. If the one sent outside died, it would not be much of a loss.
The Magical Element Tower landed in an empty field. However, many divine kingdoms had no cities. Divine kingdoms’ subjects had no need to work as they only needed to pray every day.
They were immune to disease, aging, and death unless their god perished. The beings were capable living indefinitely otherwise.
A star figure appeared in front of Saleen, and Agares’ assassin jumped into the figure’s shadow. Saleen learned the way assassins hid themselves, but Saleen knew that it was definitely not how Agares did it.
It was very good. The assassin borrowed the power of the shadow and moved alongside the figure, spending little to no energy of its own. The figure leapt outside the magic tower and the assassin followed suit, landing outside the tower.
A few white beings approached them out of curiosity. The beings had their original faiths wiped clean and did not behave like pure believers, attacking anything that did not believe in their gods. The wiping of faiths damaged the soul.
The beings’ intelligence was hampered because their souls suffered.
The star figure held its blade with no expression, dragging a shadow behind. They were not believers of the Lord of Glory, as believers did not have shadows in the divine kingdom.
Saleen and Agares watched from within the Magical Element Tower and found the white beings did not attack the star figure. They were elated.
The divine kingdom probably had just been conquered. It was also connected to Myers Mainland, so the plane’s power would not be that high compared to Myers Mainland.
Myers Mainland had once been a very powerful plane, and there had been thousands of planes directly connected to it. It also had the highest rules in the crystal wall system.
Powerful ones from Myers Mainland were capable of entering lower planes, but beings from lower planes were unable to enter Myers Mainland.
The rules still applied. It was very difficult for beings from other planes to enter Myers Mainland.
The star figure walked around near the tower for a bit and found no beings that attacked the figure. The beings from the divine kingdom seemed to have no desire to attack anything. It was an aftereffect of divine battles.
Conquered divine kingdoms were cleansed by the winning god, and beings within would lose all will to fight.
The gods feared resistance from conquered kingdoms, so they resorted to such lowly measures to ensure that resistance did not happen. Even though the beings would not cause any true harm to the gods, it would be a loss to see them suicide.
Saleen took Eleanor and the others, as well as Agares, outside the magic tower. There were 100 star figures behind them and every single figure’s shadow had a hidden spectral servant.
Saleen put the tower away. If they left the divine kingdom, they would need the space coordinates stored in the tower. They were able to contact Metatrin City directly from the tower. The huge teleportation portal at 17th floor was capable of traversing planes.
Saleen never worried about getting into divine kingdoms and Theisio would never expect Saleen to build interdimensional teleportation portals. Such portals cost too much to use, and it was pointless for mages on Myers Mainland to use such teleportation portals.
However, Saleen possessed interdimensional spaces, and there would be a day where he would enter the interdimensional spaces using the Magical Element Tower.
The reason Saleen did not choose to leave was because the tower might have been lost in the divine kingdom if he left.
He needed some time to find a safe place in the divine kingdom and seek help from his teacher through the interdimensional teleportation portal to build a temporary interdimensional portal to allow him to bring the Magical Element Tower home with him.
Furthermore, Saleen did not want to go home empty-handed. He wanted to get the coordinates of the divine kingdom, which he would give to the grandmaster and his gang at the Imperial City of the Abyss to exchange for more favors.
The grandmaster and his gang liked everything that had to do with the gods, as they were capable of using every single thing of that nature. There were many believers of the gods in that divine kingdom, and every inch was filled with holy light, making it perfect to fulfill the needs of the grandmaster.
The group began searching the divine kingdom. Agares was clearly reluctant to go home without taking anything.
The divine kingdom was warm and cozy, and edible plants were everywhere in the wilderness. All beings behaved harmoniously, but Saleen felt increasingly uncomfortable. What’s the meaning of living like this?
Wherever Saleen saw living beings, he saw them praying. Not all the beings were praying at the same time, but they were all capable of sensing each other. Once one stopped praying, another would take its place to continue their daily prayers.
Inexhaustible power of faith gushed and merged with the divine kingdom. Most of the power was dispersed outside the kingdom and absorbed by some powerful thing in the air. It was some form of the Lord of Glory’s power. The newly conquered divine kingdom brought him a lot of benefits.
All conquered beings converted to believers meant that he earned hundreds of billions sources of power of faith doing nothing. The entire divine kingdom’s living beings would definitely be more than that, as even an ant generated power of faith.
A star without life was simply a dead space. A star with life and faith of living beings brought more power to the star. As such, the gods needed to conquer the planes and make them their divine kingdoms.
Saleen’s Elemental Eye was capable of seeing over 100 miles away. He searched specifically for places with few living beings.
The group maintained an average pace of about 40 miles per hour. Saleen was doing so to avoid using too much power of the stars. At such speeds, the star figures were capable of maintaining balance between energy input and output.
There was a white river before them, and Saleen did not find anything hostile in it. He stepped onto the river surface, and it froze over immediately. Every step Saleen took caused ice to form behind him, enabling the star figures to easily run behind.
Agares stayed close to Saleen and stepped onto the ice. He was unable to feel the temperature of the ice despite wearing special boots. That meant that Saleen was not creating a simple ice bridge. It was difficult for the bridge to be maintained without emanating coldness.
“Sh**!” While Saleen was maintaining good control, they were in the divine kingdom, and someone quickly felt something was off with the ice bridge.
“Alaukalar!”
A huge person riding a white deer-like magic beast charged at them, shouting at Saleen and his people.
Saleen was unable to understand what that person said and things turned dire. The person brandished a shining long sword and charged at Saleen.
A star figure stepped in front of Saleen and brought its halberd down. The person on the white deer flicked their sword upward, deflecting the star figure’s weapon.
Some strength!
Saleen’s star figure was not a living being and had no concern of overexertion. The star figures were able to wield huge amounts of power, so long as it was within the limits of the material they were constructed from.
The halberds wielded by the star figures were not special weapons. They weighed about 100 pounds, since they were made for demons.
The person was able to deflect the star figure’s halberd, and Saleen gasped. However, before Saleen was done, an assassin leapt out of the star figure’s shadow, piercing the throat of the person riding the white deer.
