Strongest Necromancer System

Chapter 480: Jumping Across Worlds

Jason noticed that Agiel was still watching him closely and the fact that she was watching him was making Gina watch her with an angry frown, which in turn was making the group feel tense! Riyala had her hand around Gina's forearm like Gina was some sort of bloodhound that Riyala was holding back from attacking. Once Jason got close, he put his hand on Gina's head and told her to calm down. They already knew what sort of person Agiel was, so Gina couldn't keep getting angry at everything that Agiel did. They just had to put up with her for a few days at most.

Cercei was at the side speaking to Fredrica to make sure that everything had been properly prepared before he looked over the group. The group was made up of Jason, Gina, Riyala, the three soldiers from Radagan, Katarina, and finally Agiel. It was a very small number, but from what Cercei had learned, the Council meeting place was on a neutral world, so Cercei knew that they didn't need to worry about being attacked while they were there. Cercei spoke up calmly, and the group turned to face him.

"This is where we part ways, but I hope you come back with good news for all our sake. We'll be getting prepared for the worst-case scenario in your absence, but that is not an act born from lack of faith. We simply do not know whether our efforts will get through to the council, so we need to be prepared for anything. Until we meet again. I wish you godspeed and good luck."

Cercei looked at Jason for a moment, and Jason met Cercei's gaze with an impassive look of his own. Neither man bothered to acknowledge the other, but there was an unspoken agreement between them to put their differences aside for now since they were both working towards the same goal. Cercei turned away and vanished in a flash of lightning and Jason let out a small huff before he finally released a pulse of mana!

Doon!

Rip!

A Dimensional Tear began to rip through the air in front of Jason, and it expanded until it was a full circle. Jason made sure that everyone was ready before he walked through the Tear with the rest of the group following behind him.

Jason only glanced at the new mission from the system for a moment before he turned away and focused on the journey. According to the information Jason had gotten from the system, the Sahara Desert was the location that had the shortest travel distance between Earth and the Stone Catacombs. From the Sahara Desert, you only had to jump through three Rank II worlds and one Rank III world before reaching the Stone Catacombs, and even the Rank III world that they had to move through was filled with non-hostile creatures that didn't bother interacting with outsiders.

The first world that the group entered was known as [Vergan], and it was a Rank II world that was filled with tall skyscrapers and various flying machines. The location that they appeared in was something like a park, and Jason looked down to see a small child with purple skin and two antennae on his head looking up at them with wide, disbelieving eyes. Jason grinned at the kid, and he called on his subordinates. Six Legion members rose from the ground and paired up with the members of the group that couldn't use the shadows, and the entire group fell into the shadows. The group made their way out towards the outskirts of the city, and Jason activated another Dimensional Tear that took them to the next world. The group continued to travel like this as they moved through two more worlds. There was no need for conversation, and the only trouble they had during that trip was a giant carnivorous creature that looked like a snake that tried to attack them in one of the Rank II worlds, but the snake was easily eradicated by Jason's subordinates, and the group just kept on going towards the Rank III world.

This time, they appeared in a world known as [P'talmy]. The world was filled with magic, and the area that the group appeared in was inside of a large forest that had various foreign vegetation all around them. From the system's description, Jason could tell that the people in this world were very primitive since they still used spears and stones as primary weapons, and they only used magic when they were hunting or building. Jason and the other stood in a large field, and Jason could see a giant mammoth-looking creature being chased down by tall, lanky men who were only wearing animal skin around their crotch. The men all had markings carved into their body and face, and Jason blinked in surprise when the markings on one of the men lit up in a bright blue light and allowed the man to fly off the ground like he just launched from a trampoline and he used the momentum of the jump to land on the back of the mammoth and stabbed into it with his spear! Jason realised in shock that those weren't just markings! Those were runes!

'They have a master Runecrafter in this world? But that language doesn't look like Aruna. Is it another Rune language other than Aruna?'

The system had told Jason that the Aruna language was the most commonly used language by most Rune Crafters in the Primordial Expanse, but that doesn't mean that it was the only language that could be used. Many other races that hadn't been in contact with the rest of the Primordial Expanse were capable of creating their own language, and Jason couldn't help but wonder if there wasn't a language out there that would be even more efficient than the Aruna language.

"Jason. Is everything okay?"

Jason hummed and turned to see that most of the group were waiting on him, and he smiled at Gina and said that it was fine. Jason spared one last glance towards the native hunters and he saw a prompt appear in his system.

[The user has identified a new language]

[Would the user like to acquire the [Jukat] Rune language? Yes/No?]

Jason grinned at he message and he responded yes as he turned to follow after the others. The group fell into the shadows, and by the time they appeared in the location where they were going to be opening the final Dimensional Tear to reach the Stone Catacombs, Jason had figured out that the Jukat language was nothing compared to the Aruna language. Not only was Jukat a lot more cumbersome, but it was also far less efficient in its use of mana as well as very time-consuming, so Jason discarded it immediately and decided to just stick with Aruna like other Runecrafters.
