When Jayden returned from his room, she was dressed and ready for class despite her face still being flushed in embarrassment.
Cain on the other hand had other questions come to his mind in that moment: 'Where the hell did she store her clothes? This is still my dorm room right?'
However, he was a man who was quickly learning how to quickly adapt to the situation. He knew it was better for his sanity that he didn't question it. Having finished getting changed, she wordlessly she sat on the couch, staring at him from the corner of her eyes.
Cain didn't need for her to say anything to know what she wanted. She wanted to walk with him to class. Letting out a sigh, he placed his dishes in the sink for him to clean when he got home later.
He then made his way into his room and moved to his dresser to get changed. As he was putting on his shirt, he felt a gaze on his body. Expecting to see Jayden on the other end of it, he was about to tell her off for peeking.
To his surprise, it wasn't her. It was a magic eye, a spell that was often used for scouting missions. More importantly though, it was capable of taking pictures remotely!
"Oh Motherfucker!" He swore as he launched himself at the magic. He applied reinforcement magic to his hand, slicing through the spell like he was using a sword. He then opened his mouth and took a deep breath in.
The broken spell distorted as it tried to reform but was quickly consumed by Cain. A notification rang out in his mind as he shut his mouth.
[Scout Magic- Magic eye has been acquired]
Cain had not expected that somebody would be this bold. His temper was beginning to flare up as he finished getting dressed. He could roughly detect where the other girls were and by order of elimination determined that the odds one of them being the culprit was slim to none.
Leaving his room, he saw Jayden looking at him with concern in her eyes. She was sensitive to his mood and could tell something had pissed him off in his room. She had no idea what it could be though.
Seeing her genuine confusion and concern, Jayden was instantly removed from the possible culprits. Granted, Cain was pretty confident that if it was going to be any of the girls on his team, it would definitely be something Kiyomi would be capable of.
The question though was why would she go out of her way to take a picture of him like that. The contract he had with her could have triggered if she was the one who did it. So why risk it?
Knowing that he wouldn't get any answers by staying home, he motioned with his head for Jayden to follow him. Together they left the dorm side by side. Despite knowing Cain was in a bad mood, Jayden couldn't help but smile a little to herself as they walked.
There was something romantic about walking to school side by side with ones lover. She didn't feel embarrassed by any comments or looks when she was by Cain's side. Her one regret was that she wished to take some couple photos. Perhaps have one as her screensaver.
Jayden's tail was wagging slightly all the way to the main entrance of the Academy. She kept walking past the gate, but quickly stopped when she saw that Cain had come to a stop at the entrance.
She was about to ask why he had stopped but her ears perked up at the sound she picked up coming from the bustling campus.
"Get your pictures of the Demon Prince here! I have all kinds of photos here, Including the racy kind~! Don't be shy ladies~! I know you want to see what the Demonic hottie of our school looks like naked~! Only a thin set of boxers sets him apart from being totally naked~! My stock is quite limited!"
Jayden's eyes went cold as the pitch of a crowded makeshift table entered her ears. Someone had taken photos of her man? Nearly naked ones at that? She didn't have anything like that! Why could other girls get that before her?!
What made her angriest wasn't that someone had taken a candid photo of Cain, but the fact that someone else had one before her! Cain on the other hand was radiating bloodthirst as he found the one who had been spying on him.
It was a cute girl with vibrant blue hair tied up in two buns on either side of her head. It gave her a youthful exuberance. But in Cain's eyes, he could only see her as a peeping Tom and needed to be punished.
"Thanks for the business folks~! I am sold out~! I will try to have more photos for you tomorrow~!" The girl seemed to be pleased that all of her photos had been sold. In one day, she had made more money than she had in the last month combined! She was pleased with herself over her savvy business sense.
That was until she heard a cold voice that sent down her spine.
"So...You were the rat this morning taking pictures of me."
Slowly turning her head back, the girl came face to face with the cold menacing glare of Cain: The Demonic Prince himself.
The other girls around let out screams like fan girls but Cain utterly ignored them. His eyes were locked on the little wannabe paparazzi. The girl didn't need to know why he was looking for her. While she didn't know how he noticed her scouting magic, she did know that she needed to run now.
Invoking her unique water magic, she used refraction to create the illusion that she had become invisible and teleported away. She ducked down, too scared to even try and run in case the Demon Prince could hear her running away. She was a mage, not a rogue after all.
She felt a sense of relief when Cain started to look around. However that was soon shattered when he spoke aloud.
"Did you really think I would be fooled by something like that?"
Cain slowly lowered his gaze until his gaze met hers. The girl began to tremble like a leaf, realizing that she had made a huge mistake.
The Violet gaze of a demonic beast was standing a mere foot away from her. If she hadn't gone before setting up her booth, she would have pissed herself right then and there.
