Top-class Bodyguard

Chapter 137: If You Want to Save Her Step Aside

On the other side, Lu Duo'er was shopping with her friend Hu Ling.

The last time they came here, the street food was quite tasty, so they came back today. Plus, having just finished military training and coincidentally having no classes today, they sneaked out.

Going back is easy too; just a taxi ride away, no more than twenty minutes to reach the school, very convenient. If not, they can take the subway.

"Ling'Er, this is delicious." Lu Duo'er was still dressed in her fiery outfit, a crop top with shorts, her figure extraordinarily eye-catching, attracting frequent glances from surrounding men.

"Yeah, it's good." Hu Ling came over and took a bite of Lu Duo'er's shaved ice.

"Let me try yours too." Lu Duo'er said with a giggle, tasting Hu Ling's matcha ice cream, scrunching her nose, "Matcha flavor doesn't taste good."

"It's alright." Hu Ling giggled. They were now roommates but had become very close friends since the first day of school, sharing everything.

"Duo'Er, with so many people chasing you, have you decided which one to pick as your boyfriend?" Hu Ling asked curiously as they shopped.

Lu Duo'er was just too beautiful; on the first day at school, the number of people pursuing her could circle the teaching building three times.

Lu Duo'er didn't answer, her mind inexplicably recalling the awkward moment in the fitting room with Ren Feng last time, blushing a bit.

Could it be that she subconsciously came back here because of Ren Feng's influence?

"Wan Ze, the senior, is pretty nice. He's handsome and can play the piano," Hu Ling suggested.

"Humph, how could I look up to him?" Lu Duo'er said arrogantly.

"What about Hu Tian, that handsome guy from the sports department?"

"All brawn, no brains," Lu Duo'er said, then took another bite of Hu Ling's ice cream.

"Hey, Duo'Er, you're not allowed to keep stealing mine," Hu Ling quickly stopped her.

"Who told you to keep talking about me without mentioning yourself? Have you decided who to choose to be your boyfriend?" Lu Duo'er asked with a giggle.

"I'm not like you..." Hu Ling replied with a laugh, but at that moment, beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

"Ling'Er, what's wrong?" Lu Duo'er noticed something was off with Hu Ling.

"My stomach, it hurts," Hu Ling said painfully, clutching her abdomen.

Lu Duo'er was a bit flustered. "Ling'Er, hold on."

She looked up to see a Jiuzhitang pharmacy ahead and quickly helped Hu Ling over.

Upon entering the pharmacy, Lu Duo'er realized it was chaotic inside, with many people crowded around.

"I'm telling you, my grandmother got this way from taking your Jiuzhitang medicine. She was fine last time, so why did she become like this after taking it?" an angry middle-aged man was saying.

Beside him, there were several other men, all looking equally angry.

On a chair sat an old lady, her face full of wrinkles, probably in her seventies or eighties, her eyes barely open, breathing weakly.

The doctors at Jiuzhitang stood to the side, looking quite helpless.

Yu Guanyi was trying to calm them down, saying, "Please, calm down first."

"Calm down? How do you expect me to calm down?" the man said fiercely, "I'm telling you, if I don't get an explanation today, I'm going to smash your Jiuzhitang!"

Yu Guanyi frowned. Earlier, he checked the old lady's pulse, finding it erratic and unintelligible.

"Can someone help me?" Lu Duo'er, seeing the crowd, shouted anxiously as Hu Ling clutched her stomach in pain beside her.

Some doctors wanted to come over, but the men blocked them.

"I said it, until my grandmother's issue is resolved, you won't do any business today!" the man shouted angrily.

"You're being unreasonable!" one of the doctors, pointing in anger, said.

"Unreasonable? I'll show you unreasonable!" the man sneered and signaled, and his men came forward, trying to drive out Lu Duo'er and Hu Ling.

Anger appeared on Lu Duo'er's face, "How dare you! I'm not interested in dealing with you, just here to save someone!"

"Jiuzhitang won't be open today," the man sneered, reaching to push Lu Duo'er out.

Anger surged on Lu Duo'er's face. Just as she was about to kick, a figure flashed behind her, kicking the man in the chest.

Bam!

The man flew back.

Seeing this, the others were about to act, but before they got close, Ren Feng knocked them to the ground with ease.

Lu Duo'er was delighted to see Ren Feng suddenly appear, her heart feeling as if it was filled with joy.

"No worries, she's just having her period." Ren Feng checked Hu Ling, placing his left hand on her abdomen, sending True Qi gently like a spring breeze or a rain transformation, sweeping through her body.

Instantly, Hu Ling felt the pain vanish as if a big hand had soothed it away.

"Help her rest," Ren Feng told Lu Duo'er.

Lu Duo'er quickly nodded, helping Hu Ling to a seat. Then, Ren Feng moved forward.

"Who are you?" the middle-aged man roared furiously, "I'm telling you, this is between me and Jiuzhitang!"

Yu Guanyi saw Ren Feng approach and quickly welcomed him.

"Feng, you're finally here," Yu Guanyi breathed a sigh of relief.

"Is the patient her?" Ren Feng looked at the old lady seated there.

Yu Guanyi nodded, "Yes, she was like this when brought in today, and her pulse is extremely unstable. They keep saying it was our Jiuzhitang medicine."

Ren Feng walked over slowly, and the middle-aged man yelled, "What do you want to do?"

Ren Feng gave him a cold look, "If you want to save her, stand aside."

The middle-aged man had more to say, but seeing Ren Feng's cold demeanor, he couldn't speak further.

"Fine, let you see."

He stepped aside.

Lu Duo'er and Hu Ling sat together, and Hu Ling's eyes were full of curiosity. Seeing Lu Duo'er watching intently, she playfully teased.

"Duo'Er, isn't he handsome?"

"Yeah." Lu Duo'er nodded instinctively, then realized, blushing, "You tricked me into saying that!"

Meanwhile, the other doctors frowned, speaking to Yu Guanyi, "Yu, how could this young man save her? You know her pulse; she's one breath from death. Shouldn't we send her to a hospital?"
