Chapter 607: The Perfect Bio-Human

Launching an attack at the secret facility of the Japanese might sound straightforward but it was more than it meets the eye when it comes to taking the girls with Jiang Fei.

At this moment, there was an unmanned drone monitoring the entire battlefield, including Jiang Fei. Naturally, 0541 detected the drone and informed Jiang Fei about it hovering over his head. Even if he wanted to, he could not destroy it when the girls were paying close attention to his every move.

To be fair, when he was more than capable of destroying such a thing with ease, he could do it with a blast of his guns. It would not be possible since he would not be able to explain how he acquired such a powerful gun in the first place.

“…”

Jiang Fei was silent as he frowned over the matter. In the end, his plan to infiltrate the secret facility might have to be cancelled. Taking the girls with him in such a bold manner might get him surrounded by the Japanese. However, he could not leave them unattended. There were too many powerful Bio-Humans around. Without his fighting capabilities, the girls would not last long, especially when there was an eye in the sky, watching their every move.

“Alert! Alert!” 0541 proximity alarm went off.

“What is it?”

“A group of Bio-Humans is approaching you at high speed!”

“Who are they and what is their power level?”

“There are a total of 5 targets. One Pinnacle stage of Level 4, one Intermediate stage of Level 4, and three Beginning stage of Level 4!”

“Sh*t!”

Jiang Fei was not sure whether he could even defeat the team, much less when he had considered protecting the girls.

“Follow me,” said Jiang Fei as he led the team to where they had just come from.

“Leader? What’s going on?” asked Xue Aohan. Even though they did not understand the reason behind retreating, Jiang Fei was still their leader and after everything that he had done, there must be a reason behind his actions.

“We have been spotted. There’s a team coming after us. It’s much stronger than previous enemies. Even I… I might not be able to fight them,” said Jiang Fei.

“But… What about the other team?” said Ding Menghan as she was worried about his fellow students in the other team.

“We cannot save them now. The enemies that are coming for us will kill us,” said Jiang Fei.

0541’s proximity alarm was blaring at an intense rate as the enemies were coming in closer and faster. Even though the girls had mastered the art of qinggong, they were only at Level 3 stage. At their best, they would be walking when compared to the Level 4 running speed!

At this point, there was no point in running anymore. Jiang Fei stopped his tracks and turned back.

“Team, go and find the place where we had rest for the first time. I will remain here to stop them. I will buy some time to allow all of you to escape,” said Jiang Fei as he started to condense his energy in his fist.

“But… Brother Jiang Fei, what are you-”

“Enough. Stay back if you want to die. Run if you want to have at least a chance to save the other team,” Jiang Fei roared.

“Take care,” said Yang Po as she took the first step and left Jiang Fei to himself to fend off the incoming enemies. There was no telling what the Japanese would do to the girls if they got themselves captured. After all, the Japanese were famous for being extremely violent.

“Why are you here?” said Jiang Fei when he noticed Shang Guanqi dangling silently from a tree branch.

“The chance of survival is relatively higher,” said Shang Guanqi.

“Hmph. Suit yourself.”

Jiang Fei had enough of her. The situation had escalated too quickly, and he had too little time to worry about her. He materialized an energy gun from the ring and shot at the unmanned drone high in the sky.

Without the eye in the sky, the enemies would have some difficulty in tracking the girls, allowing them to have a little more time to run.

After destroying the drone, Jiang Fei quickly stored the gun back into the ring. It was a movement so fast that no ordinary eyes could detect it. Of course, Shang Guanqi was not normal. She had caught a glimpse at the gun and was curious, only for a split second before she reverted to become an emotionless robot.

In less than half a minute, the enemies had arrived.

“Little China boy, do you really think you could stop all of us?” said the strongest Level 4 Bio-Human, who seemed to be the leader.

“Oh. Don’t you worry about me. I’ve got some tricks up my sleeves,” said Jiang Fei. He then quickly turned to Shang Guanqi and said,” You’re on your own. I cannot protect you this time.”

“Kill him,” said the leader. Two out of the five enemies charged towards Jiang Fei while the remaining three stood at the side.

“Come at me,” said Jiang Fei. There was no need to be merciful anymore. He took out the Chengying Sword and charged towards the two weaker Level 4 Bio-Human.

The two Bio-Human were extremely easy to deal with. It was not because they were weak, but it was due to the control latency that had made their movement sluggish and slow. They were at least 60 kilometers away from their remote pilot location.

“Hmph. He’s only but a strong Level 4 fighter,” said the Pinnacle stage Level 4 Bio-Human. He was not remorseful of his two soldiers that were killed as he had more of them from where he came from. Not too long ago, the Mutant Brotherhood came to attack and destroyed many of their facilities. Even so, they managed to capture and mutated them into their Bio-Human slaves.

After roughly estimating Jiang Fei’s strength, the leader himself went forward alone to fight Jiang Fei.

“Hmph. Finally, a worthy opponent for my blade,” said Jiang Fei to himself as the blade in his hand flashed faintly.

He had swapped out the Chengying Sword for the Godblade type Zhanlu Sword. Since the two blades were practically the same in appearance, not even Shang Guanqi who was constantly watching Jiang Fei’s every move could notice the difference.

Jiang Fei could not guarantee that he could defeat the opponent, not when he was at the Pinnacle stage of Level 4. It was vital then to use the Zhanlu Sword. He only needed to land tiny cut on the bastard to kill him!

“Little China boy, I want you to remember the name of the perfected Bio-Human who had killed you! It is General Yanagi Kenichiro,” roared the Bio-Human.

Without warning, the enemy shot out a blast of a dark green blast of light from the palm of his hand.

“Hmph!”

Jiang Fei lifted his sword fast and cut the ray of light into two. Something was wrong. The speed of which the attack came was too fast. There was hardly any lag in between his actions!

The Bio-Human was talking in perfect Japanese but with a heavy accent of European language. It was obvious that the host of the Bio-Human was a person from the Mutant Brotherhood. Something was wrong… his movement did not look like he was being remotely controlled. It felt like he was a real Metahuman!
