The King of Black Fog

Chapter 269 Various New Situations_3

Of course, Li Qianxia had no idea how Li Changzhou appeared in the dorm.

While lining up at a bubble tea shop, four college girls rested their chins on each other's shoulders, their hair strands oddly intertwining, as if they were boneless, letting their hair brush each other's faces.

Li Qianxia had shown them the travel photos she took during her escape—the time she was not at school was excused as a vacation.

"The beauties are ready!"

"Beauties are coming, beauties are coming!" Li Qianxia, quicker than any other woman in Kale Square, was the first to respond.

Just as she turned off the screen, preparing to step forward, something was reflected on the now pitch-black phone screen.

Someone was lying on the ceiling above, perfectly still, staring down at her without blinking.

From the phone screen, it seemed like this person's face was pressed against the glass, almost as if they were about to leap out from the phone.

Li Qianxia sharply looked up. The white walls, the white ceiling lights on even during the day, aside from the black edges of the built-in lights, the ceiling was devoid of any other elements.

She hesitated for a moment amid the condemning voices of Xu Xiao, Song Yuan, and Su Qin ringing in her ears, berating her shamelessly.

After getting her bubble tea and passing the turn to the restrooms, she said, "I'm going to wash my hands."

The four of them chattered non-stop as they squeezed into the restroom together.

While in the stall, Li Qianxia took out her gadget, and whispered in her ear, "Is there danger?"

Outside the stall, Xu Xiao, Song Yuan, who had already used the restroom, were still chatting with her and Su Qin inside the stall.

The gadget blinked its large eyes and nodded vigorously.

Right there, Li Qianxia wanted to call Li Changzhou, but… she pretended as if nothing had happened, went to the toilet, pulled up her jeans, buttoned up, and laughed with her roommates while washing hands and fixing her hair in front of the mirror.

This was a women's restroom. The situation wasn't dangerous enough to require her brother to enter.

Li Qianxia was not worried about herself. She might not be like her older brother, but she wasn't just any player that could easily match her skills—she was a master.

She was, however, more worried for her three roommates.

Moreover, could this thing be a ghost? She wasn't much afraid of gods, but she was extremely afraid of ghosts!

"Qian Xia, are you done?" The three roommates had already moved to the restroom door; women's restroom resources were very limited.

"Oh, I'm done!" Li Qianxia snapped back to reality, her hands leaving the automatic faucet without touching anything, and just as she was about to use the hand dryer.

In the corner of her eye, she saw in the mirror a pile of decomposing bodies on the ceiling, their heads looking at her.

She felt a chill run through her body. Looking up again, her eyes had turned red, ready to shoot out intense heat at any moment.

But there was nothing, just the buzzing sound of the exhaust fan.

Not waiting for her hands to dry, she quickly walked out, Su Qin handing her the iced bubble tea. She took two hurried sips; the physical coolness of the iced bubble tea helped dispel her psychological coldness.

She controlled her innate fear of ghosts and tried to recall the image she had seen before... that head, that face, seemed somehow closer than the first time in the phone?

Li Qianxia looked up at the ceiling—nothing there.

She took out her phone, carelessly positioning the screen upwards. She saw herself looking at the phone. On the ceiling above her, the pile of decomposing bodies now had not just heads, but an arm extended toward her crown.

Li Qianxia shuddered violently and immediately flipped her phone screen downward.

She looked up again, holding her breath, but saw nothing.

What to do? How was she to deal with this bizarre ability?

Why were they targeting her? Was it a vendetta against her brother? Members of the Evangelical Sect? Or was it for the Divine Crown?

No, she had to leave. She couldn't solve this on her own, nor could she involve others!

"Sorry, I..."

She had just begun to speak when a gasp came from a nearby shop.

"Eh, what's going on?" It was a TCL TV sales store. On every screen, regardless of what was previously being played or whether the TVs were turned on, all were showing the same scene—a fully assembled body on the ceiling, reaching down toward the bottom of the screen, where there was a head with a ponytail.

Li Qianxia felt an intense chill. Without thinking too much, she leaned on the railing and jumped straight down from the first-floor corridor to the basement level two, which housed a children's playground.

She landed on a trampoline, tossing the playing children high into the air.

Li Qianxia got up, caught a little girl who almost flew off, gently placed her back on the trampoline, and, ignoring the shocked stares around her, strode with long legs at a normal person's maximum speed towards the basement level two door leading to the parking garage.

Avoiding people coming from the direction of the garage, she lifted the thermal curtain and rushed into the garage, hiding in a corner filled with parked cars.

She stretched out her arm, her fingers spread wide. A crack in the void opened, and she summoned Li Changzhou while glancing at the nearest car's glass.

Nothing was following her; the glass only reflected her own image looking at the car.

She exhaled the breath pent up in her chest, her heart's fierce beating gradually slowing down, as a hand rested on her head.
