The King of Black Fog

Chapter 252: Arrival at the Blood Sand Tribe

No matter how painful it was for Qing Shui, when the people from the three tribes received the rabbits and vegetables, despite knowing they were from an enemy, they couldn't help but break into smiles and laughter.

The Sand People, especially those without an oasis, must always be prepared to give their lives for food every day.

The desert is a piece of harsh and merciless land, a place for living in extremity.

How could they not be happy, not be joyous, when they saw such a bountiful spread of food? It meant that today no family would lose their provider; no one in the tribe would die.

"Grandpa, what is this?" A child, sucking on his finger, stared at the bright and fresh, basketfuls of plants.

"This must be vegetables, the kind you only see in an oasis!" The old man's hands trembled as he picked up a head of cabbage.

"Ouch."

The crowd was startled and quickly looked toward the sound.

A little girl was holding a long, orange vegetable that was bleeding, and lying in the palm of her outstretched hand was a tooth.

"Hahaha!" The adults burst into laughter.

The girl's parents ruffled her hair, scolding yet happy.

"Toothless, toothless, toothless!" the boys teased.

"It's shedding teeth, it's shedding teeth!" the girl protested angrily, waving the carrot in her hand.

As the boys ran off, they continued to taunt, "Toothless one! Toothless one!"

"Mom, Dad!" the girl cried.

"You little rabbits, when it's your turn to shed teeth, let's see if we don't laugh you to death!" The girl's parents also feigned anger, brushing away the girl's tears with large, smiling hands.

Qing Shui silently watched this scene.

The five warriors who were instructed to feign death last night were also genuinely happy at this moment.

The Sand People's existence is so precarious that they can only think about whether the next meal will come, what it will be, and how much there will be. The thought of reaching the Blood Sand Tribe by tonight was too far-fetched for them.

As for the invasion of Earthlings, the vast majority of Sand People didn't care at all; even without Earthlings, they themselves might not survive the next 15 days, so how could they worry about what would happen after that?

The summer insect never worries about how cold the winter will be.

"How do you eat these vegetables?"

"I haven't seen this type of vegetable either."

"Hello there!" Li Qianxia hopped down from the back of a Sha Tuo Beast, landing on the balcony of the watchtower.

The Sand People quieted down, adults pulling their playful children into their arms, warriors protecting the others.

"My brother is too stingy," Li Qianxia said as she walked in, "I've brought you cow's milk, sheep's milk, chicken eggs, duck eggs, and goose eggs mainly for the kids to eat, so they'll grow tall and strong."

With a pat on the pouch at her waist, a golden light shone, and the floor of the watchtower was immediately covered with cow's milk, sheep's milk, chicken eggs, duck eggs, and goose eggs, bottle upon bottle, layer upon layer.

Looking at all this food, a woman, who didn't have much guard against strangers, couldn't help but ask, "How do you eat these things?"

"You don't know? Oh, there are none of these things on this planet, right? Let me teach you!"

Li Qianxia rolled up her sleeves, revealing snow-white forearms that seemed to glow in the Sand Peoples' eyes.

"I grew up in the countryside and could accurately pick out mallows from a pile of wild herbs."

Assessing the number of vegetables and the number of Sand People, she gave up on cooking intricate dishes.

"I'll make hot pot for you! Hot pot is the tastiest! Just wash the vegetables with water. Never mind, you can't spare the water, but it's actually fine not to wash them, they're all super pure natural, you can eat them directly, I'm going to ask my brother for a dozen bags of hot pot seasoning! Just wait!"

Li Qianxia hurried in, not even staying a full minute, before hopping back onto the back of the Sha Tuo Beast.

From afar, you could hear her shout, "Brother, I'm making them a big meal, give me the hot pot seasoning!"

After a brief pause, you could hear her shouting again, "Hot pot counts as cooking too! How does hot pot not count as a big meal! You city son-in-law, stop nitpicking our rural diet!"

She returned in less than twenty seconds, this time with a small bag in hand, filled with round beads from which a rich fragrance wafted out.

Swallowing sounds echoed one after another throughout the watchtower.

"This is Elixir Pills made by my sister-in-law, they're named 'Hot Pot Elixir'!" Not sure why she found it funny, the Earthling started laughing herself.

"Everyone, get ready for hot pot! There's clear soup, tomato, spicy! Qing Shui, come join us, as a leader, you must integrate with the people!"

Qi Shui was pulled by the wrist; she didn't want to accept the Earthling's charity, but lacking the strength to resist Li Qianxia, she was gently tugged by the other and fell into the temptation of hot pot.

Early in the morning, three Sha Tuo Beasts advanced towards the Blood Sand Tribe, surrounded by the rising aroma of hot pot.

From time to time, you could hear "Hiss Hiss" sounds, the reaction to eating the spicy hot pot base.

"Being too close to these people isn't good," Turquoise Pool said to Li Changzhou.

"As long as she doesn't leave, she can wear whatever she wants, and as long as there is no danger to her life, she can do whatever she wants," Li Changzhou said while sitting cross-legged, gazing over the boundless desert.

He was unable to practice but was pondering the issue of Visualization.

He had encountered few Visualization techniques, a B-level "Thunder Map," an A-level "Divine Fire Map," and S+ level "Yin Yang Double Snakes" and "Giant Kun."

Although few in number, they all had one thing in common—Visualize the natural world to improve "Abilities" and acquire skills (which can also be called Spells, Divine Skills, Magic, or Witchcraft).

If that's the case, could he himself create a Visualization technique?

He didn't aspire to be on par with "Yin Yang Double Snakes" or "Giant Kun," he didn't even want to compare with "Divine Fire Map," he just needed a hint of the flair of "Thunder Map."
