I Made The World Mutate

Chapter 309: An Even More Powerful Existence

Xiao Mu shook his head, his expression serious, advised, "I wouldn't recommend you do that. If you insist on it, not only will you fail to protect others, you'll harm yourself."

From the traces discovered so far, the evil absurdity in the Taoist temple is not your ordinary entity.

Such a formidable evil, if not showing up, it's all right, but once it appears, it is bound to be extremely dreadful, a simple move can kill.

Although Xiao Mu is not afraid, he remains uncertain about being able to guarantee the safety of the others in the group.

"Do you think I am not strong enough?"

A hint of mockery surfaced on Chen Ruoyu's face, showing a complacent vibe.

"Even if a red Blood Demon appears, I could easily kill it with a snap of my fingers."

Upon saying this, he seemed full of confidence.

An awe-inspiring momentum emanated from him, quite intimidating.

"Thump thump thump!"

A couple of early-stage Mutated Beings from the Third Realm were involuntarily thrown back due to this overpowering momentum, their faces turning beet-red.

There is still a significant gap in strength between the early and late parts of the Third Realm.

The momentum unintentionally released by Chen Ruoyu was able to easily repulse these early stage Mutated Beings from the Third Realm.

"He's so powerful!"

"He really does justice to being a late Blood Refinement Realm martial artist!"

Instead of showing anger, the repulsed Mutated Beings were full of praise for Chen Ruoyu, giving him the thumbs-up.

The stronger Chen Ruoyu, the more capable he would be to protect them.

However, Xiao Mu remained unmoved. Chen Ruoyu's deliberately released momentum was not even able to touch the corner of his clothes.

He chuckled lightly, "What if it's a black-purple Blood Demon?"

Upon hearing the words 'black-purple Blood Demon,' Chen Ruoyu's face suddenly changed.

Despite having entered the Late Third Realm, where he could easily kill red Blood Demons.

The strength of a red Blood Demon obviously cannot be compared to a black-purple Blood Demon.

He himself was self-aware enough to know that he was not a match for a black-purple Blood Demon.

"Friend, are you implying that there is a black-purple Blood Demon in the Taoist temple?"

Chen Ruoyu's face darkened as he began to worry.

As he uttered these words, the faces of the others changed as well.

Especially the early Third Realm Mutated Beings, who were immediately terrified after hearing this.

Until now, in the human world, there are not many Mutated Beings that have reached the Late Third Realm.

But even if they had reached the Late Third Realm, they were only equivalent to a red Blood Demon, and could not fight with a black-purple Blood Demon.

Overstepping realms in battle, after all, was only a legend and in reality was extremely difficult. Only a handful of Mutated Beings could achieve this.

Among those present, apparently none had that kind of ability or they wouldn't rely on Chen Ruoyu.

"Is there really a black-purple Blood Demon?"

Zhu Zhenping asked with a hint of hesitation in his voice.

His strength was only at the early Third Realm. While he was not particularly afraid of red Blood Demons, because even if he encountered one, he had a chance to escape. A black-purple Blood Demon, once encountered, he definitely wouldn't even have a chance to escape.

It wasn't just Zhu Zhenping. Many of them were frightened by Xiao Mu's words.

"A black-purple Blood Demon?"

"Is there really a black-purple Blood Demon in the Taoist temple?"

"How can we go then? I think we'd better forget it. It's good to have treasures, but you have to be alive to enjoy them."

"Boss Luo, sorry, I'm not going. Please return my Energy Crystal."

Many people were having cold feet. The first thought that came to them was to drop out. Some even asked Luo Junming to refund their Energy Crystal.

"Friend, how can you prove there is a black-purple Blood Demon in the Taoist temple?"

Luo Junming stared at Xiao Mu with a cold, irritated look.

If people started leaving and asked for refunds, his loss would be significant.

"I never said there was a black-purple Blood Demon in the Taoist temple."

Xiao Mu shook his head, "So far, I can't precisely determine what's in the Taoist Temple, but from the clues we've found, whatever resides in the temple ahead is likely more formidable than a Purple-Black Blood Demon."

"More formidable than a Purple-Black Blood Demon?"

Everyone was once again taken aback, some showing signs of fear.

A Purple-Black Blood Demon was already challenging enough, let alone something even more formidable?

For most people present, encountering a Red Blood Demon meant that even if they could not defeat it, they could possibly escape.

But with a Purple-Black Blood Demon, not many had that capacity to flee.

Most here believed that facing something even stronger than a Purple-Black Blood Demon would mean instant death, with zero possibilities of escape.

"I'd suggest everyone consider this: while there may be treasures in the temple, one needs to be alive to enjoy them. It isn't worth risking your life for treasure. So, I recommend those who are in the early stages of the Third Realm or below to leave now and not proceed any further," Xiao Mu cautiously advised.

Not because he loved meddling, it was just a casual piece of advice. Whether the others listened or not was not his concern.

Even good advice can't save a doomed Ghost. If someone insisted on courting death, Xiao Mu would not actively impede them.

At his words, everyone looked at each other.

Xiao Mu had scared them once again. What could be more formidable than a Purple-Black Blood Demon?

"Everyone, this gentleman... Xiao is right. For safety's sake, I think those with lower levels of power shouldn't enter," someone suddenly agreed with Xiao Mu, persuading the crowd.

Xiao Mu turned to look and found to his surprise that the speaker was the man in jeans. He had always suspected the man of having ulterior motives and did not expect him to back his argument and dissuade others from entering the temple.

The man in jeans acted strangely as he met Xiao Mu's gaze, quickly lowering his head and retreating back into the crowd as though he feared Xiao Mu might see through him.

Many people began whispering amongst themselves, undecided, and some even hinted at backing out.

Luo Junming looked at Xiao Mu resentfully, "Xiao, what do you mean more formidable than a Purple-Black Blood Demon? What are you referring to?"

Xiao Mu shook his head nonchalantly, "I don't know yet."

"You don't know?"

Luo Junming sneered, looking contemptuously at Xiao Mu, "So, you're saying the strong entity you claimed was inside the Taoist Temple is purely speculation?"

Xiao Mu nodded.

"Haha!"

Luo Junming suddenly burst into laughter, "Did you all hear that? Xiao is just guessing! Just guessing, without any proof."

"It's only another mile until the Taoist Temple. This is a newly discovered ruin, there could be treasures everywhere. If you're willing to give up on that based on someone's guess, I won't try to stop you. I'll even refund your Energy Crystals."

At these words, the crowd became indecisive once more.

"Mr. Xiao, you mentioned a formidable evil absurdity. Do you have any proof?" a martial artist in the late Bone Forger Realm asked him.

"Yes, Mr. Xiao, you've been talking about this strong evil absurdity, but where's the proof?"

People began to question Xiao Mu and doubt his motives.

"How can you just go around saying things without any proof?"

"Mr. Xiao, you're not trying to scare us off because you're afraid there are too many people and you won't get any treasure, are you?"

...

Xiao Mu glared at the person who made the last comment.

The accuser was a middle-aged woman with an ordinary appearance. Her shrewd triangular eyes suggested a certain cattiness. Remarkably, her power level was quite high – she was in the early stage of the Third Realm.

Xiao Mu had intended his words as a kind warning, but he didn't expect them to be met with suspicion.

Xiao Mu was disappointed and upset. "Believe it or not, it's up to you. Just pretend I didn't say anything earlier."

The crowd responded with strange expressions. The middle-aged woman with the triangular eyes even sneered, clearly implying that Xiao Mu was silent because he had been exposed and had nothing to say.

"Well, Xiao seems to be out of words. Is there anyone else who wants to back out?" Luo Junming smirked triumphantly.
