Pillar of Yita

Chapter 345 Legend 17_2

But to her, it appeared as if there were only two gently flowing, benign rivers.

Then she raised her hand, slowly extending the fingers one by one, slender and fragile.

"Silver Tower, heed my command—"

The next moment, people's mouths hung open, unable to believe the scene before them.

At Fang Hong's side, the outermost four Annihilators QV700 simultaneously flashed a dull red light internally, and began to spin upward around him/her, unfolding their main panels which revealed the ferocious Main Crystals towards the distant enemy.

"What!"

A wave of commotion swept through the crowd.

The same thought flashed through everyone's minds—did he intend to hold his ground here, to withstand the onslaught of monsters that surged like a tide, all by himself? How was that possible, how could it be done, and what would be the point?

Had he gone mad?

But what surprised people even more was—

At this moment, who was controlling these Flexible Constructs?

Miss Tata simply moved her hand from left to right in a gentle swipe.

"Spear of Magical Power."

There was a deathly silence over the square.

Suddenly, within the darkness, a light lit up, like the light at the bottom of everyone's eyes.

The light was moving away, like a meteor in the sky, drawing four bright lines that thrust into the midst of the dark congregation of Night Lizard People.

From the front to the back, the light beams illuminated a dazzling Flash, with Ether Magic Power compressed into a point that exploded upon hitting an obstacle, creating a brilliant glow and a powerful blast of air that knocked the Night Lizard People to the ground in disarray. In an instant, four massive ruptures appeared in their front line, causing their offensive momentum to temporarily stall.

It seemed they had stopped, trying to discern what was attacking them.

But what they were waiting for was perhaps just a command they could not hear:

"Overload, Light Rain."

Miss Fairy's voice was soft yet firm, with each word clearly articulated.

The Crystals inside the Annihilator QV700 shone blindingly bright, like a spinning star radiating immense light and heat. Their tilted panels opened up again, spiraling to point at the sky as they rained down a luminous Light Rain onto the pitch-black Underground World.

The golden-red beams of light, arrow after arrow, lit up the dimly lit metal Shells repeatedly, moving in the direction of Miss Tata's calm command, shooting into the distance.

Sixty-four in succession.

In the darkness, like a shower of golden rain, the front row of Night Lizard People collapsed in unison. This time, they were forced to scatter and take shelter in the collapsed, broken buildings. They were certainly fearless, but not foolish; they would not advance rashly before understanding the enemy's attack frequency—seeking advantage and avoiding harm is an instinct of all living creatures.

Three full minutes.

"The offensive has slowed down!"

The crowd buzzed with incredulous tones.

Everyone witnessed the scene, still not understanding how Fang Hong was controlling those Annihilators—although he/she constantly pointed in that direction (actually towards Tata), from beginning to end—he/she never looked up at the surroundings!

Was it through the Clockwork Fairy?

All eyes turned to Virus.

Virus's icy expression stiffened slightly, and though reluctantly, she glanced at Nether beside her.

"He's modifying those Clockwork Fairies…" After a while, the Construct Queen revealed a somewhat unbelievable fact. Even her own tone took on an unusual note at that moment.

"Wait a minute," Chenxi, picking up on the implication, asked, "Are you saying he's using the Artisan System?"

KUN, having just handed over his tasks, walked over from the other side and paused when he heard this.

Nether hesitated for a moment, and with an awkward albeit polite smile, responded.

"But he's still controlling those Annihilators?"

"Yes, pretty much like that…"

"Then, has anyone ever heard of such a thing before?" Chenxi turned back and asked the rest of the group.

Everyone in the hall shook their heads.

The fact that Fang Hong was quadruple-controlling the Annihilators QV700 had already been forgotten by most, as it didn't seem that much different than dual-controlling Energy Angels—at least to the average Combat Artisan, it was already an ability beyond reason.

But outside the command center,

Others watching this scene still felt uneasy.

Temporarily hindering the enemy's attack was still a far cry from driving them back. They did not believe Fang Hong could repel so many enemies alone, and from the previous attacks, the power was still far from enough.

But Fang Hong remained focused on the Clockwork Fairy in his hands, leaving everyone baffled.

What on earth was he doing?

Did he not realize the danger around him?

Two minutes and thirty seconds.

"Halfway there,"

Fang Hong said to Miss Tata in his mind.

Miss Fairy remained unmoved, just nodding her head, and Fang Hong could naturally feel her thoughts: "I will do my best, Mr. Knight."

He paused for a moment, then looked up: "Don't force yourself, Tata," he pointed to the task at hand, "Actually, a little more would suffice."

But Tata shook her head calmly and replied, "Mr. Knight—"

"Dragon Souls are born for their Dragon Riders."

"And we always give it our all—"

Fang Hong was stunned.

His mouth fell open as he looked at her, feelings unspoken welling up inside him—he suddenly realized that the relationship between Miss Tata and him, between Dragon Knight and Dragon Soul, seemed to be more than just a simple pact.
