Pillar of Yita

Chapter 237 Legend IX_3

Everyone's heart clenched at this scene as if they were feeling what Fang Hong felt, wishing they could make him run faster. However, it seemed their prayers had an effect, Fang Hong had just left, and the four Dragon's Claws only just arrived at the battlefield.

Under everyone's watchful eyes, Fang Hong slipped sideways into another alley, then stopped to bandage the wound on his left hand. The four Dragon's Claws paused momentarily before following the bloodstains Fang Hong had left behind.

Using his right hand and teeth, Fang Hong swiftly dressed his wound—in fact, when he was at Morning Dawn Star, apart from helping to repair equipment, he occasionally played the role of a 'nurse', treating the wounds of Elsa and others, so he had mastered some first aid skills.

As he bandaged himself, he looked back, estimating when the pursuing enemies might arrive, still worried he might miscalculate.

Fortunately, he didn't. He finally breathed a sigh of relief. This reckless strike was entirely out of confidence in himself, but it was also a necessary risk. The moment the enemy split up was his only chance; without taking down those three Dragon's Claws first, his likelihood of breaking through was slim.

A detour?

That would be even riskier.

Luckily, everything went smoothly. The Strength Plugin that Silver Weslan had given him had been a huge help. Without the significant enhancement in strength, that claw from a Dragon's Claw would have sent him flying, not just severely injured; there would've been no need to mention a counter-attack.

It was also fortunate that his calculations had not been off. He'd taken down all three Dragon's Claws, and although he'd sustained some injuries, they were still within an acceptable margin.

He finished bandaging his wound.

And those four Dragon's Claws happened to appear at the entrance of the alley in that direction.

Hidden in the shadows, they did not find him immediately. Without a second thought, Fang Hong repeated his tactic, raising his hand to launch another Rocket Fist while commanding two Energy Angels to attack. Regrettably, the enemy had not witnessed the previous battle firsthand, or else they would have been more cautious.

It was another display of skill with margin.

But this time, much more proficient.

The attacked Dragon's Claw instinctively deflected the Flying Fist, dodging the first sword strike, but before it could turn around, it was already swept across the neck by the second sword from the Energy Angel, its head severed in one strike.

The headless body knelt to the ground, turning to dust.

Upon witnessing this scene, an involuntary thought emerged in people's minds:

"I've seen this script before..."

But the following scenario was not quite the same as before. Since there were no more pursuers nearby, Fang Hong retracted his glove and with a swing, flew up onto the roof, albeit slightly slower than usual due to the injury on his left hand.

This slight delay gave the Dragon's Claws the chance to spread their wings and chase after him, but as soon as Fang Hong reached the rooftop, he summoned the two Energy Angels to his side with a gesture.

Then he raised his right hand once again.

The remaining three monsters, halfway through their flight, saw another Rocket Fist roaring towards them from afar.

Though they possessed the ability to fly, that was merely an inheritance from Giant Dragon genes, inherently clumsy and even more so being a degraded version. They dared not get hit in mid-air, so they had to dodge to the side.

But that dodge cost them the initiative in attack.

In the somewhat confident gaze of Fang Hong, the next moment, the two Energy Angels, one in front and one behind, Blink around the Dragon's Claws, launching their attacks in mid-air.

Again, it was skill with margin.

"Wait a second," Virus said softly upon seeing this, "His operating details are getting more precise. Is he training his skills in real combat?"

"How big can this guy's courage get?"

Nether, standing by, had noticed this long ago.

She arched an eyebrow but did not respond.

This kid's courage was indeed a bit too bold—

The two Energy Angels attacked the Dragon's Claw from both sides, but the latter dodged the first sword by moving aside and avoided the second by dipping down. Meanwhile, the Flying Fist aimed at the trailing Energy Angel, which, due to the Sensing Field, dodged to the side, its sword blade shifting direction to slash towards the extended wings.

However, after the previous encounter, the Dragon's Claw was not unprepared. It raised its claw to block the Energy Angel's blade. This series of moves had nearly used up its aerial balance and just barely managed to fend off the Energy Angel's redirected strike.

But before it could even feel relieved—if a Dragon's Claw could feel relief at all—

In the black pupils of this Dragon-kind creature, the Energy Angel previously in front that it had narrowly dodged, and its missed sword strike, slowly passing behind it, were now pointing straight at the Energy Angel on the other side.

So in the frame of the picture,

Under everyone's watch,

The Energy Angel once again changed direction, flipping in mid-air with its long legs sweeping straight towards the Dragon's Claw's opened right wing.

A flash of Silverlight, and the right wing of the Dragon's Claw fell off, its scream echoing as it plummeted to the ground with the two Energy Angels. But Fang Hong had already retracted the Flying Claw and activated the Blink command for the Energy Angels.

The two Energy Angels Blinked back to his side.

And the wingless Dragon's Claw could only fall alone, its head striking the ground first with a crack, collapsing in an unnatural posture and turning into dust.

The remaining two Dragon's Claws, which had been lunging at Fang Hong, halted abruptly upon seeing the Energy Angels return to his side. Fang Hong then raised his right hand and feinted a gesture. The two Dragon's Claws dared not continue flying.

The hurriedly landed on nearby rooftops.

The crowd at King's Square witnessing this scene fell silent.

There was an almost intoxicating glow in their eyes; although they could not grasp the subtleties of Fang Hong's operating skills, to see one man against seven, slaying five and then with a mere gesture causing the remaining two monsters dare not advance,

Forcing them to land, unable to spread their wings and soar—

What magnificent heroism was this?

By this moment,

Everyone had realized, the remaining two Dragon's Claws no longer posed a threat to Fang Hong. Should they dare to pursue, their fate would be the same as the previous five. For Fang Hong, dealing with them would be even easier.

The young man had successfully broken through.

But could he leave this island?

That was the only question left in everyone's mind.
