Pillar of Yita

Chapter 153: Fairy Wall

"Damn!" Plain Colors Painting was terrified in his heart.

Meanwhile, Xia Sheng's mouth gaped even wider, almost shouting out loud, "Clockwork Fairy!"

But how could there be a Clockwork Fairy here? Was it Mr. Kaka's Clockwork Fairy? But why would he do this?

The Armor-Piercing Arrow passed by the Iron Defender.

The Iron Defender slightly turned his head back and understood what had happened. He immediately lifted his shield and shifted it in front of his teammates.

His teammate—the Ranger girl reacted just as quickly, drawing her bow and shooting an arrow in this direction.

That one arrow, like a light blue arc, split in midair, turning into a blue Light Rain, refracting downward.

"Be careful, Refraction Arrows!"

Xia Sheng heard someone in the team whispering.

But evasion was already too late; the Spellcasters hastily activated their shields, a brilliance flickering. Meanwhile, a tall warrior raised his shield, protecting those in the Agility System in front of him.

Light Rain fell all at once, eliciting numerous crisp sounds.

Upon hitting the shields and Magic Shields, the light burst into a dim luminescence, outlining the contours of each person amidst the darkness.

But by the time everyone turned to look at their enemy, they only saw the Iron Defender retreating into the bushes, leaving the red afterglow on the Summoners System above them.

And that Ranger had already disappeared without a trace.

"Damn!"

"Magic Guided Conductor, quickly clear the markings of the Refraction Arrows."

"Be careful, warrior cover!"

"Wait, that Ranger is in the opposite direction!" Plain Colors Painting suddenly shouted in alarm.

But before his words fell, an arrow flew silently through the darkness, striking right at his throat.

Xia Sheng watched as he fell face-up in front of her, hitting the ground heavily, his eyes wide open, exhibiting an unwillingness to die.

Then, his body gradually dissolved into tiny flecks of white light; she was still dazed until someone behind her pulled her.

And a Feather Arrow grazed past her cheek, leaving a trail of blood; she then came to her senses realizing that a team member, a warrior, had saved her life.

"Spread out!" she immediately ordered.

Still, she felt a wave of annoyance inside.

They had relied too much on Mr. Kaka's hints, forgetting that their opponents were also from the elite team of Rain Listeners, yet a small mishap threw them into disarray.

But Xia Sheng soon discovered.

It wasn't an accident.

The light markings of the Refraction Arrows lasted only about ten seconds. Coupled with the Magic Guided Conductor's spell of clearance, darkness soon returned to the forest.

But Youxiang, the lead Ranger of Rain Listener, lurking in a holly shrub, raised her head only to witness the shocking scene unfolding before her.

Six Clockwork Fairies uniformly descended from above the forest, immediately dispersing and flying towards different positions.

Then they stopped overhead, naughtily performing figure-eight dances, like bees.

Youxiang's eyes widened.

If she wasn't mistaken, these little creatures were indicating to her—there were people there.

But... but this was a bit too blatant, right?

Not far from her.

The Iron Defender also gradually stopped, putting down his shield, his mouth agape, watching this exaggerated scene. "Is this some kind of joke?"

He murmured to himself.

"Is this some kind of joke!?"

That was also the sentiment of every member of Anlan at the moment, having lost track of their opponents yet having such a strange thing suddenly appear above their heads.

Six Clockwork Fairies, like synchronized dancers, maintained almost identical patterns, flying above their heads.

"They're exposing our positions!"

"Quick, drive them away!"

"I, I can't reach."

"Magic Guided Conductor!"

But just as the Magic Guided Conductor had lifted his Star Guide Staff, the incantation had barely started when the Clockwork Fairy disappeared into the treetops with a flicker.

But in a moment, it appeared in another direction.

The Magic Guided Conductor once again raised his staff.

But in the darkness, another arrow came flying, striking his Magic Shield; the shield's light flickered wildly, startling him into hurriedly rolling forward to hide in the bushes.

But just as he had lain down, he saw the little sphere playfully flying over again, fluttering and hovering above his head.

The Magic Guided Conductor felt a chill down his spine.

He felt none of the creature's cuteness, only viewing it as a death-bearing, ferocious little demon.

Youxiang, after switching positions for the third time, raised her bow again.

The roles of both sides seemed to have switched at this moment; the previous hunters, now in such a bizarre manner, had become the hunted.

Although the Rain Listener's Ranger was full of doubts.

Where exactly did these little spheres come from?

Whose hands had released them?

Why had they come to aid them?

Then she gently released the bowstring, and a muffled groan from afar was so distinct that it enabled the Summoners System to outline the red contour of the source of the sound.

The Magic Guided Conductor was struck in the chest by an arrow, struggling briefly before losing his life.

Xia Sheng watched as another name darkened in the team channel.

But the buzzing Clockwork Fairies overhead distressed her, making it completely impossible to determine the location of the opposing Ranger.

She drew her Dagger and threw it at the small sphere, but it seemed to have anticipated her action and deftly dodged her attack.
