Reverse War Surpass Immortal

Chapter 412: Primordial Magnetic Crystal Stone

Duan Gujin had activated Rapid speed, and even employed the Demon Nine Steps while running.

He did not wish to waste too much time on the road.

After an hour, he finally reached the Devil Clan ruins.

He drank a drop of the Ten-thousand-year-old Divine Milk, bringing his Primordial Power and Spiritual Power to a Peak State.

He exhaled a breath, then entered the underground cave he had discovered earlier.

Entering the white spider's nest, he arrived at a corner, his Divine Sense reaching out, infiltrating the corner's rocks.

As his Divine Sense kept penetrating, gradually, Duan Gujin began to see more and more scenery.

Fifteen minutes later, his heart gave a sudden thump; he sensed that the rocks ahead concealed a world of their own, an underground cave within. "It seems I really have to excavate this cavern!"

He exhaled a breath, estimated the distance, then took out a shovel from his storage ring and infused Primordial Power into it, bit by bit chiseling away at the rock.

Two hours later, he had finally dug an underground passage of over twenty meters in length.

After squeezing out of that passage, he discovered he had arrived in a brand-new underground cave.

He was certain this was a new cave due to the extremely moist air, completely different from the previous cave he had been in.

Therefore, he began to wander around the underground cave, wanting to see if he could find anything valuable.

Fifteen minutes later, he discovered that indeed this underground cave had its own hidden world; he found some man-made structures within.

Although these structures were simple, they were sufficient to indicate that they were not naturally formed.

Furthermore, this cave carried an incredibly Yin Cold Aura, even stronger than the cold Duan Gujin had previously sensed outside the white spider's lair.

"So the coldness I sensed earlier did not come from the white spider, but from this underground cave!"

Duan Gujin suddenly understood.

He noticed a very strong Demon Energy within the cave he was currently in.

As he ventured deeper, the coldness became bone-chilling.

He quickly circulated his Primordial Power to protect his body from being frozen by the chill.

He found many simple buildings here, not much different from the structures he had seen above in the Devil Clan ruins.

He surmised that the structures he was now observing were likely closely related to the Devil Clan ruins.

Moreover, he saw many bones of birds and beasts on the ground of these buildings; they had lain there for untold years and had already decayed beyond recognition.

Duan Gujin found a very special place within these buildings—a spring eye.

This spring eye continuously emitted bursts of Cold Energy which quickly turned to ice upon reaching the surface.

What astonished Duan Gujin the most was that at the upper end of the spring eye, an unusual staff was embedded.

"What kind of staff is this?"

He frowned, took defensive measures, and moved forward to inspect the staff.

As his right hand touched the staff, he felt its bone-chilling coldness.

He promptly circulated his Primordial Power to fend off the cold invasion to his body.

When Duan Gujin's Divine Sense conducted an inner inspection of the staff, he discovered it was not an ordinary staff.

After a while, he gasped in shock.

"My God! Could this staff be crafted from Primordial Magnetic Crystal Stone??"

Initially, he suspected there was a mistake with his Divine Sense Inspection.

After confirming multiple times, he realized there was no mistake—indeed, the staff he held was crafted from Primordial Magnetic Crystal Stone.

"Why is there such a staff here?"

Duan Gujin's complexion changed drastically; he had not removed the long staff from the mouth of the spring.

He felt that the long staff could not possibly be laying here by coincidence; it must belong to someone.

At the very least, the staff was definitely not naturally formed.

Previously, Duan Gujin had examined the staff and found it to be exceedingly smooth, clearly the result of deliberate polishing.

Thus, Duan Gujin carefully inspected the area around the staff and found that there were no other traces on the ground.

This meant that, at least for a very long time, no one else had been here.

"It seems this staff is ownerless!"

A sharp glint flashed in Duan Gujin's eyes; his heart began to thrill with excitement.

He approached the staff once more and grabbed it directly.

He pulled hard, and with a whoosh, the staff came right out.

Only after pulling out the staff did he get a clear view of its appearance.

The staff was two meters long, about as thick as his wrist, and weighed heavily in his hands, but it was also very suitable for his use.

"What a fine staff!"

Duan Gujin swung it several times and felt as though there was some kind of resonance with the staff.

He found this resonating feeling to be very strange.

He frowned, lost in thought.

After a while, he unleashed his Giant Demon Dragon Elephant Martial Soul and brandished the staff.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

While swinging the staff, he noticed a tremendous increase in his strength.

Although he was unsure why the staff caused his power to surge, he was convinced that it was the staff's doing.

"What mystery could this staff hold? I shall study it later!"

Duan Gujin carefully examined the spring eye, his eyes flickering.

He had searched the entire underground cave and found that this spring eye was the only item of value.

But he racked his brain for a long time without figuring out what exactly the spring eye was.

He sat cross-legged, extending his Divine Sense, intending to discover how deep the spring eye was.

The spring eye was large enough to accommodate two people, and previously the staff had been inserted across the mud on both sides of the spring.

He sent his Divine Sense into the spring eye, wanting to know what was at the bottom of it.

A quarter of an hour later, his eyes suddenly brightened.

He sensed that some kind of energy below the spring was calling to him.

"Could there be something down there?"

Duan Gujin's brow furrowed slightly, and he sank into contemplation, debating whether he should go down to explore.

"How deep could this spring eye be?"

Consequently, Duan Gujin dropped a stone down, wanting to know when it would hit the bottom.

He pricked up his ears, listening closely as the stone fell towards the spring.

After a long while, he felt that the spring very likely went down a hundred meters.

"This spring is so deep!"

He repeatedly threw stones into the spring and ultimately concluded that the spring was about a hundred meters deep and that there must not be water below—it had to be that the stone ultimately landed on hard ground.
