Reincarnated as the Weakest Magical Beast

Chapter 95: Mary's plan

There was only one skill that could make this happen—and that skill was Weapon Projection!

With this ability, one could copy any weapon and manifest a projected version resembling the original.

Of course, projecting a Mythical Weapon like the Celestial Light Bow – Farael was normally impossible. But if someone possessed Weapon Projection at an exceptionally high level, they could at least reproduce a fragment of its divine power.

"As you can see, this is just a projection," Mary explained with a calm, composed smile, holding the shimmering bow in her hands.

It looked as though it had been carved from pure crystal, its frame glowing faintly with interwoven threads of gold and white light swirling across the arc. Tiny motes of radiance floated off it like drifting starlight, illuminating Mary's face in a soft, holy glow.

"The person who projected this weapon was none other than our Clan Head," she continued proudly. "Using his Weapon Projection skill at Max Level, he managed to recreate this version of Farael and entrusted it to me—so that we might have a fighting chance against Amaras and retrieve the Sanguine Orchids."

"Whoa… I see…" Emilia murmured, her eyes wide with awe. "But then, how strong is this version of the bow? And what's your plan with it?"

"Yeah! Tell us!" Mimi chimed in eagerly, her tail swaying nonstop with excitement.

"Well," Mary said, "to make the weapon suitable for my level, it only retains about five percent of the real bow's power."

"What? Only five percent?" Emilia gasped in disbelief.

Mary nodded firmly. "Yes—but don't underestimate it. Five percent of Farael is already more than enough. You've heard the legend, haven't you? The hero who once used the true bow to shoot down an Archdemon with a single arrow?"

"Oh, that's right!" Emilia exclaimed as realization struck. It was a story every adventurer knew.

"Then, there's a real chance we might be able to kill Amaras with this!" Mary said, her eyes gleaming with determination. "Not only does this bow have insane damage output, it also bears both anti-undead and giant-slayer enchantments copied from the real bow! Basically, with these buffs, it can deal up to 182% bonus damage to Amaras, who's both an undead and a boss monster! Our Clan Head had specifically chosen to copy the Farael just because of this!"

"Oh wow! I see!" Emilia nodded thoughtfully. "So you guys really prepared for this!"

"Yup!" Mary replied with a small smile. "But even so…" She turned briefly toward the unconscious mage lying nearby. "We couldn't even make it to the dungeon before most of our party was wiped out."

Even though Mary and Aron were both strong—far stronger than the average adventurer—the rest of their team had been ordinary folks. They simply couldn't withstand the strength of the Ashbane monsters.

Still, now that the bow was revealed, a glimmer of hope began to fill the air once more. The mission that once seemed impossible suddenly felt within reach.

"Anyways," Mary continued, her expression growing serious. "It still requires a lot of preparation to pull this off. That's why we really need your help, Miss Elise."

"Huh? Tell us, then," Emilia said.

"Alright," Mary nodded, taking a deep breath. "Here's what we were planning to do."

Meanwhile, Mimi listened intently, her little ears twitching.

Oh?

Umu!

..

This might actually work!

..

But it's still kinda risky…

Basically, even though they might have enough firepower to one-shot Amaras, they still needed the perfect setup. As an archer, Mary's most powerful attack was her Charged Power Ultimate Shot—a skill that required her to channel energy before firing. The longer she charged, the stronger and deadlier the shot would become.

And the time needed to fully charge the skill was… five minutes!

During that five-minute window, Emilia and Aron would have to draw the boss's aggro and protect Mary, no matter what, until she was ready to release the fully charged arrow.

Only then would they have a real chance to defeat Amaras.

But there was one more problem. Due to its overwhelming power, the Farael Projection could only be used once.

Yup—once the ultimate shot was fired, the bow would instantly disintegrate. They had only one chance.

If Mary missed, or if the shot failed to kill Amaras… then it would be game over.

"Please, I only need one shot," Mary pleaded again, her voice trembling with resolve. "If we fail, we'll retreat immediately."

That meant Emilia's only task was to draw aggro and survive. A simple plan—at least on paper.

But still… stalling for an entire five minutes against Amaras, with only her and Aron standing between the monster and Mary?

That would be quite the challenge indeed.

Emilia thought hard for a moment, then turned to her cat.

"What do you think, partner? You in?"

Mimi, too, was deep in thought.

Hmmmmmm…

HMMMMMMMM!!!

Because on one hand—yeah, it was dangerous.

But on the other hand… oh my… this opportunity looked really tempting!

The possible drops from the boss were incredible, and if they actually managed to defeat it, Mimi could gain tons of experience, or evolution points, by using her Divine Curse Reversal skill right at the moment the boss died!

It was another high-risk, high-reward scenario… and she loved that kind of thing.

And so, they stared at each other for a few seconds.

A hardcore game addict who loved impossible challenges and bosses.

And a battle junkie.

Well, that made the answer obvious.

"MEOW!"

LET'S DO THIS, MASTER!

With Mimi's approval, Emilia turned to Mary and nodded firmly.

"Mary, we accept your request. Let's defeat Amaras!"

The instant she said that, both Mary and Aron's eyes widened with joy. They bowed deeply, showing their utmost gratitude.

"Yes! Thank you so much, Miss Elise!" Mary said, her voice trembling with relief.

"With your help, we'll definitely be able to defeat the boss!" Aron added enthusiastically.

"Alright then—when do we leave?" Emilia asked. Then, glancing toward the blonde-haired mage lying nearby, she continued, "Also… we can't just leave her here, can we?"

"Well, there's supposed to be another safe zone near the dungeon entrance," Mary replied. "We can let Kathy rest there before we proceed."

"Yup, sounds good!" Emilia nodded.

"Then, let me pack things up," Aron said, thumping a fist against his chest. "We'll depart immediately!"
