Over The World, Beyond Heaven

Chapter 544: The Maneuver to Win the Identity Badge (4)

[Guardian Monster Sword Skill: First Stance; Front Protection at full strength!]

Wooooosh!!!

Yaa!!!

Booooom!!!

As the three attack stances of the young man from the Frenzy Lion Clan collided with the monster guardian Prana sword of the young man from the Monster Guardians Group, the explosion was so loud that it almost pierced people's eardrums.

Along with the energy wave, a dreadful and violent vibration blew out in all directions and crashed into the protective curtain surrounding the black stone arena before dissipating.

"Who will be the winner!?"

"What an amazing clash!"

"It's just like a battle between highly skilled masters at the Divine Emperor stage!"

"Today is such a good day to come to the Enchanted Monster Tavern!"

Everyone was excited to see the outcome and who would be declared the winner. Although more than half of the audience believed that the young man from the Monster Guardians Group would win, some thought the young man from the Frenzy Lion Clan might prevail as well.

"The winner is... the young master from the Monster Guardians Group!" the tavern leader's voice suddenly rang out, snapping everyone out of their thoughts.

OHH!!!

"Young Master of the Monster Guardians Group!"

"Young Master of the Monster Guardians Group!"

"Young Master Fan-Qi!!!"

"Young Master Fan-Qi!!!"

The cheers from the crowd, shouting the names of both competitors, continued. It was an expression of respect and admiration for both fighters who had battled honorably and kept the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the tournament.

"Although the combined energy of the three stances was shockingly destructive, the difference in energy levels between the two fighters was too great. If they had been evenly matched in energy, this fight would have been far more exciting," Zheng-Fu muttered, smiling slightly as the battle concluded, before his expression turned neutral again.

Finally, the young man's maneuver ended with his nine consecutive wins. He would now rest until his next opponent, who also needed to win nine consecutive rounds, was determined.

As the young man walked down from the maneuver arena, the servants of the Enchanted Monster Tavern came up to clean the area again. The young man from the Frenzy Lion Clan had already been carried away by his clan members, having fainted due to the reflection of five parts of his own energy. He was moderately injured and had lost a lot of strength.

Once the arena was cleared, the tavern leader immediately announced the next pair to avoid wasting time. However, the match wasn't very exciting, as both participants had normal energy levels, making the fight seem dull and ending quickly.

One shichen had passed...

"Sigh, this is really boring! After the young master from the Monster Guardians Group's maneuver ended, none of the following matches have been exciting. No one has managed to win five consecutive rounds."

"That's right. I'm getting bored too. Maybe the lot-drawer has terrible luck, which is why only ordinary martial masters have been chosen to fight!"

"Even though some of the highly skilled martial masters from the three major forces joined the maneuver, none of them have excited me as much as the young master from the Monster Guardians Group. When are the other two young masters going to fight... Oh! Look! The young master from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group has finally taken the stage!"

"Ha ha ha! This is going to be fun. There's bound to be some bloodshed in this round, for sure!"

While people were beginning to voice their boredom with the increasingly dull match, a young man from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group was announced to take the stage. The moment his name was called, the crowd that had started to lose interest suddenly came back to life.

Even though his opponent was weaker, there was bound to be some bloody excitement for the audience to enjoy. Everyone knew what kind of person this young man was. His infamous reputation in battle was well-known throughout the city—only newborns wouldn't have heard of him.

"Ha ha ha!!! It's finally my turn. I've been waiting a long time!" the young man from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group said happily as he arrogantly jumped into the arena, his face indifferent as if he was above everyone else.

"Hurry up and announce my opponent. I'm tired of waiting!" he snapped at the tavern leader with the same indifferent expression. Though the tavern leader was stronger, the young man believed his group held more power.

"Absolutely, as the Young Master wishes," the tavern leader responded politely, still smiling despite the young man's rudeness. He then announced the young man from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group's opponent, "Your opponent in the first round is Cui-Zhang, a highly skilled martial master from your own Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group, sir!"

"Huh...? Cui-Zhang!!?"

When the young man heard that, his expression instantly changed. His first-round opponent was from his own group! With only four other members from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group participating in the maneuver, the selection of Cui-Zhang meant that only three of them would have a chance to reach the ninth round and the finals.

Since they were from the same group, Cui-Zhang forfeited, allowing the young man to advance to the next round without a fight. The easy victory didn't sit well with him, but he had no choice but to accept it.

"Since Cui-Zhang from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group has given up, the Young Master from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group qualifies for the second round. His next opponent is the Young Master from the Waning Moon Sky Clan!"

"I surrender!"

Huh...?

Just moments after the announcement, the voice of the young master from the Waning Moon Sky Clan, his next opponent, declared surrender. He was only at the intermediate Immortal stage, so he forfeited without even fighting.

Tch!!!

"There are only weak and unskilled people!" the young man scoffed contemptuously at seeing his opponent surrender.

Following the second opponent's surrender, the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth opponents also gave up. All of them were young masters from middle-ranking clans who couldn't compete with the young man from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group. Given his notorious brutality, none of them wanted to risk their lives.

…………….

"Huh! What's going on? I thought we'd see a fun fight, but now everyone's just surrendering!"

"This isn't fun at all. They should have fought, at least a little. They're insanely weak!"

"Hey! You two are only good at complaining. Why not get in the arena and give everyone else a show?"

"Yes! You run your mouths, but I bet you wouldn't dare step onto the stage!"

"We can't! We didn't register. Besides, we're not highly skilled martial masters. We're just spectators!"

"Alas! You're only good at talking!!!"

After a series of consecutive forfeits up to the seventh round, the tavern leader finally announced the next opponent. This time, the young man's challenger was a skilled martial master from the Monster Guardians Group.

Many people were certain that this round would result in a real fight, but to everyone's surprise, the martial master from the Monster Guardians Group chose to forfeit rather than face the young man.

This turn of events left everyone feeling frustrated to the point of madness. Even a martial master from one of the three great forces, the Monster Guardians Group, had surrendered. It was a stark contrast to the matches involving the young master from the Monster Guardians Group, where everyone was eager to fight.

"Damn! Why are you all so weak? If this keeps up, just let everyone surrender so I don't have to waste time battling anymore!" The young man was initially angry that he hadn't gotten the chance to showcase his skills, but he realized this situation worked in his favor.

By winning through forfeits, he conserved his energy for the final round. If his opponent were one of the two young masters from the other large forces, he would have a significant advantage, allowing him to crush them in a bloody victory easily.

As the young man anticipated, his eighth-round opponent, another highly skilled master from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group, also forfeited. He easily advanced to the ninth round, the last step before the final.

"The opponent in the ninth round is Young Master Zheng-Fu from the Silver Body Clan!" the tavern leader called out the young man's ninth opponent with more emphasis, aware of the significance of this match.

Huh...?

"Silver Body Clan!!?"

"The Silver Body Clan is participating in the maneuver?"

"And who is this guy named Zheng-Fu?"

The crowd erupted in surprise at the tavern leader's announcement. None of them had heard of this name before, even though they knew the strongest youth from the Silver Body Clan. So, who was this Zheng-Fu?

At a special table on the third floor, where Zheng-Fu sat...

"Don't tell me that's my name?" Zheng-Fu exclaimed in shock upon hearing the name the tavern leader had called. It was undoubtedly his name, and it suggested he was from the Silver Body Clan. No one else from the Silver Body Clan was at the tavern.

"Why did he register me with this name?" Zheng-Fu briefly had a serious expression, but soon, he leaped from the third floor and landed softly in the arena.

Thump!!!

With his handsome face and graceful demeanor, many of the women in the tavern blushed unknowingly. Some even felt weak and gazed at him with sweet eyes, while others made seductive expressions as they stared at Zheng-Fu.

"Huh! Just a poor, insignificant kid! You'd better surrender now, or I'll crush your fragile bones!" said the young man from the Spirit-Hunting Wolf Group contemptuously after seeing Zheng-Fu enter the arena with confidence.

"My bones aren't that fragile. I drink plenty of milk to keep them strong."

Huh...!?
