Over The World, Beyond Heaven

Chapter 530: Getting Ready Before Going to the Party

Flap!!!

Zheng-Fu emerged from his hidden dimensional space without hesitation. He knew he needed to leave as quickly as possible, for if he lingered any longer, the monster demon would sense him and attempt to destroy his dimensional space spell. If that happened, escaping would become exceedingly difficult.

Swish!!!

Zheng-Fu's destination was the Silver Body Clan in Huang-Di City. Using his top speed, he reached the city in mere minutes. It was also time for the two elder monsters and the highly skilled martial masters sent by Dan-Ge to arrive.

At the main hall of the Silver Body Clan...

"In this Competitive Rally Among the Clans, our clan managed to secure first and second place, an achievement we never expected. It's the first time in decades that we've reached such heights.

As the clan leader, I want to extend my thanks to Den and Diao, the two brothers, for their contributions," Song-Lang shouted, his powerful voice reverberating like that of a cultivator in the half-step Divine Emperor stage. His voice ensured that everyone in the clan could hear about the brothers' remarkable deeds.

Hooray!!!

"It's all thanks to them! Without their efforts, our clan could never have secured both first and second place!"

"That's right, they truly deserve to be called the clan's number-one geniuses!"

"Are you kidding? They should be considered the city's number-one geniuses! Hahaha!!!"

"Alright, everyone, settle down. This achievement is actually owed to Nephew Fu-Zheng. By the way, where is he now?" Song-Lang thought to express his gratitude to Zheng-Fu. However, at the moment, Zheng-Fu was not present; only Jin-Tian was.

Just then, Zheng-Fu's figure slowly appeared beside Jin-Tian.

"Mast... Mast... Big Brother!" Jin-Tian sensed Zheng-Fu's return and stood beside him, preparing to greet him as usual. But upon seeing Zheng-Fu's expression, he quickly adjusted his words.

"Is everything alright?" Zheng-Fu inquired about the situation during his absence.

"Everything is going smoothly. Both brothers took first and second place. The City Governor has announced a celebration party tonight, where prizes will be awarded to the winners," Jin-Tian quickly filled Zheng-Fu in on the details of the rally.

"Mhm... Well done. And what about that young woman? Did you gather any information on her?" Zheng-Fu immediately asked about the mysterious young woman he had instructed Jin-Tian to investigate.

"I wasn't able to sense her presence at all. Moreover, when the event concluded, the City Governor quickly escorted her back to his residence with a large number of bodyguards."

"We'll find out more at the party tonight," Zheng-Fu said, letting the matter rest for the moment. Song-Lang, noticing his presence, called him to the center of the hall to thank him.

"Nephew Fu-Zheng, as the clan leader, I want to express my gratitude for helping bring our Silver Body Clan to this point. On behalf of everyone in the clan, I thank you," Song-Lang said, uncertain of how else to repay Zheng-Fu, aside from his gratitude.

Both Song-Lang and the other members of the clan wanted to give Zheng-Fu a special gift, but they didn't know what to give him. They were unsure what could satisfy him, given that everything he had bestowed upon them was already of the highest quality.

"Clan Leader praises me too highly. I didn't do anything; it was the two brothers over there who deserved the credit. Their victory demonstrates their immense value and capability, not only that they win something big for the clan, but they also elevated the Silver Body Clan to new heights—unlike someone..."

As Zheng-Fu finished speaking, he turned toward the second elder, who had remained silent since the rally. The second elder was startled when he sensed Zheng-Fu's gaze looking at him because he remembered the bet he had made with Zheng-Fu.

The condition of the bet was that he would apologize to Den and Diao if they placed within the top hundred. Not only had they achieved that, but they had also claimed first and second places—an outcome no one in the clan had anticipated.

This meant the second elder had lost the bet, and he now had to apologize to the brothers publicly. However, the thought of doing so was unbearable for him.

"Well, Second Elder, you haven't forgotten our bet, have you?" Seeing the second elder stood still, Zheng-Fu prodded, his tone sharp.

Ah!!!

The second elder flinched at Zheng-Fu's words, and the other elders in the hall recalled the day of the bet. They exchanged uneasy smiles, anticipating the second elder's inevitable apology.

Many of them had also spoken ill of the brothers when they first arrived with Zheng-Fu and Jin-Tian, siding with the second elder. Now, they distanced themselves from him to avoid guilt by association.

"I... I... I... This is too much! I'm an elder of this clan! Why should I lower myself and apologize to them?!" the second elder shouted angrily, asserting his rank, second only to Shuan-Gong.

Huh!!!

Zheng-Fu sighed softly and looked at Song-Lang, silently suggesting it was time for the second elder to be removed from his position, or else, something bad might happen.

Ahem!!

"Second Elder, as of now, you are relieved of your position. The third elder will be promoted to the second elder," Song-Lang slightly coughed and announced firmly, his voice carrying to all corners of the hall that the second elder had been banished right at this moment.

Everyone understood that Song-Lang had only made this decision after Zheng-Fu's pointed stare, signaling whose side they should align with.

"No! You can't do this to me! I've contributed to this clan in countless ways! You can't dismiss me like this!" the former second elder protested angrily, citing his past efforts.

"I know you've made significant contributions, but it is the brothers and Nephew Fu-Zheng who have brought our clan to where it stands now. Your actions can't compare to theirs, and you've disrespected those who've helped us.

If you continue like this, then...!" Song-Lang's words trailed off as he unleashed a wave of energy from his half-step Divine Emperor stage cultivation, pressing it against the former second elder.

Ah!!!

"I... I..." The former second elder fell silent, speechless. He could only swallow his anger deeply and vow to take revenge twice as much as what the clan had done to him.

"It's fine, sir. Let bygones be bygones. We don't need an apology, but from now on, we hope he won't cause us any more trouble," Den said coldly, his gaze fixed on the former second elder. With his current power, Den could kill him in an instant. From that moment on, no one dared speak ill of the brothers, as their energy levels now rivaled those of the clan leader and the great elder.

"Since there's nothing further, I'll take my leave. See you all at the party tonight," Zheng-Fu said, excusing himself. He had other matters to attend to before the evening's celebration.

No one attempted to stop him, seeing the clear intent in his expression. Jin-Tian and the brothers followed Zheng-Fu as he left, leaving only the elders and Clan Leader Song-Lang behind.

Back at Zheng-Fu's magical building...

"There are two shichens left until the party. The three of you should spend this time stabilizing your energy. Your energy has grown too quickly and isn't yet fully balanced," Zheng-Fu advised. The rapid increase in power, especially for the brothers, had made controlling their energy difficult.

Fortunately, they had been able to win the rally without those issues affecting them, but if they balanced their power better, when battling on stage again, it would make future victories against their opponents even easier.

"We understand." The three of them nodded before dispersing to their rooms.

As for Zheng-Fu, after guiding the trio, he returned to his own quarters. He intended to use the blood of the red elder demon to inscribe a spell onto a talisman, creating a Demon Shield Spell—a more powerful variant of the Heavenly Shield Spell.

He was confident that this spell would allow him to defend against three attacks from a Divine-King-stage martial master. And with this defense, it would give him enough time to retaliate and potentially kill his opponent.

"I have no idea what will happen at tonight's party, so I should be prepared before it begins!"
