Over The World, Beyond Heaven

Chapter 527: The Competitive Rally Among the Clans (8)

"His energy level is higher than ours, so what? We have two on our team, and our energy levels are only slightly different. We are not afraid of you. Besides, this is the territory of our Monster Tribe. If a signal is sent out, many highly skilled martial masters will rush here." The two elder monsters weren't sure if they could defeat him, so they thought of using sheer numbers to suppress him.

Ha ha ha!!!

"So what if there are many of them? Do you think I don't know that your realm doesn't have many highly skilled martial masters at your level? Most of them are stationed at the border, leaving only small fry here," retorted the elder demon, laughing and showing no fear as he saw through the elder monsters' thoughts.

Ah!!!

The two elder monsters turned pale, realizing they couldn't deceive him. But no matter what, they couldn't let this elder demon escape because there was someone important they had to protect in Huang-Di City.

"If you won't listen to reason, then we'll have to use force!" said one of the elder monsters, preparing for battle. The other elder followed suit.

"Good! I'll use this as a warm-up," the elder demon said with a smirk, drawing a huge bone sword from his dimensional ring.

Wooooosh!!!

[Scarlet Bone Demon Sword Skill]

Yaa!!!

The elder demon unleashed a wave of deathly heat and energy upon the two elder monsters. Not willing to wait and be overwhelmed, the elder monsters launched their own attacks.

[Boiling Blood Monster Saber Skill]

[Boiling Blood Monster Claw Skill]

Wooooosh!!!

Booooooom!!!

Whoooosh!!! Grooooooan!!!

The three most powerful skills of these highly skilled martial masters, all at the ninth level of the Divine Emperor stage, clashed violently. An explosion erupted, accompanied by powerful winds, shaking the surrounding area. Trees were uprooted, and nearby beasts perished instantly.

Zheng-Fu, observing from a distance, was unaffected. His energy level was higher than the three, and his defense skills were strong.

The elder demon was pushed back only a few dozen steps before stabilizing. However, the two elder monsters fared worse, suffering minor injuries and being forced back twice as far as the elder demon.

Though the first clash hinted at a likely victor, it wasn't enough to decide the outcome just yet. Both sides still had energy reserves, and they hadn't revealed all their trump cards. The battle continued fiercely, with Zheng-Fu watching silently, a passive spectator.

Back at the maneuver arena...

By now, the other contestants' battles had concluded, leaving only two pairs—Diao's and Den's. The results were about to unfold. Diao's match with the second young miss of the Flaming Dawn Clan had reached its final stage, with both competitors having used up a significant amount of energy.

Diao had the upper hand. He managed to counter almost every attack from the young woman, often counterattacking and landing his own strikes. However, there were times when he was pushed back. Yet Diao persisted, gritting his teeth and fighting on.

Den's match was different. He had a slight advantage over his opponent, but the other fighter, like a frenzied lion true to his clan's name, attacked relentlessly. Every stance and technique the opponent used was fierce, and his skills greatly enhanced his physical strength.

This made it hard for Den to defeat him quickly. Nevertheless, Den remained patient, looking for the right moment to strike.

Meanwhile, the battle between the three martial masters went unnoticed. Even Dan-Ge couldn't detect if the elder monsters had met the intruder, as Zheng-Fu had used the Hidden Dimensional Space spell to conceal it. Only those near the battlefield would have been able to sense them.

In the special seating area...

"Elder Sister, who do you think will win this match?" Luo-Qing asked the young woman sitting behind her eagerly as she watched the battle.

"…"

But the young woman didn't respond. Confused, Luo-Qing turned to see why her sister wasn't answering. As she turned to see her elder sister's face, she noticed she was lost in thought.

"Elder Sister!!?"

"Huh...?"

After Luo-Qing called out again, the young woman snapped out of her daze, looking startled, as though she had been close to saying something aloud before quickly composing herself.

"Younger Sister Luo-Qing, what is it?"

"Nothing. I just saw you staring blankly at the sky. No matter how many times I called, you didn't answer, so I had to shout," Luo-Qing explained, mixing fact and fiction to cover for her sister.

"I was just thinking about something. What did you want to ask?" the young woman replied, making an excuse for her distraction.

"Well, I was asking who you think will win this match. But since you weren't paying attention, it doesn't matter," Luo-Qing said with a slight sigh.

"My apologies. But from what I've seen, the two brothers will likely win. Their opponents seem to be among the strongest martial artists, but if both brothers win this round, the next one won't be as hard," the young woman shared her thoughts.

"Hmm... I think you're right. With your experience as a Divine Emperor stage martial master, just one glance is enough to tell who will win. I wonder how powerful the man is who captured your heart," Luo-Qing teased, smiling playfully now that the elder monsters were no longer present.

"Younger Sister!" The young woman blushed, embarrassed by the remark. At that moment, an image of a young man flashed through her mind, overlapping with another, whom she was skeptical about.

'Is he the same person? If I remove that magical amulet... what will happen? But what if he isn't?' She was filled with doubt and curiosity, eager to test her theory and confirm her suspicions.

Soon after, Diao's battle ended, with him emerging victorious. Diao had expended a fair amount of energy on his opponent. His opponent was exhausted as well but couldn't defeat him. This left her feeling frustrated, though there was another emotion mixed in.

In Diao's arena...

"You only beat me this time because I underestimated you. Next time, I won't lose!" said the second young miss of the Flaming Dawn Clan, her expression slightly sour. Though dissatisfied, she wasn't unreasonable and told Diao that she'd be better prepared next time.

"Young Miss Pyun-Ying, it was a great match, and you're very strong. If I hadn't given it my all, I wouldn't have won. I look forward to competing with you again," Diao responded with a warm, friendly smile, one that made many young women's hearts flutter.

"Tsk!!!" Pyun-Ying exhaled sharply, turning away to hide her blushing face. For the first time, her heart raced. Realizing how she felt, she hurried off the stage. But suddenly...

"Wait, Young Miss Pyun-Ying!"

"Huh...?"

Diao's voice made her stop and turn around.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to invite you for a meal. I don't know if..."

"Yes!!!"

Before Diao could finish, Pyun-Ying had already accepted, and everyone nearby heard their exchange, including the Flaming Dawn Clan Leader. Those secretly interested in her could hear it too.

Everyone expected Pyun-Ying to reject Diao, but to their surprise, she accepted without hesitation. Her embarrassed expression made many young men's hearts race.

"My answer doesn't mean I'm interested in you. I just want to discuss martial arts," Pyun-Ying quickly explained, putting on a calm facade.

"I understand. As long as you say yes, I'm happy," Diao replied with a smile.

"You...!"

Not wanting to show any more emotion, Pyun-Ying ran back to her clan's seats.

Den's battle ended shortly after, with Den emerging victorious. His opponent, like a frenzied lion, fought fiercely but eventually accepted defeat, acknowledging Den's superior skill.

After the two brothers' matches, they had a break before the next round. However, their opponents in the following match surrendered, allowing them to win without a fight. Another match had also concluded.

In the final round, only three contestants remained: Diao, Den, and a young man from the Lightning Bird Clan, who, despite being as strong as Diao at the fifth level of the Immortal Soul stage, was weaker than Den. Knowing he couldn't match the brothers, especially after seeing them defeat stronger opponents in the previous round, he surrendered and accepted third place.
