Over The World, Beyond Heaven

Chapter 473: Lu Bei's Request

"Thank you so much for bringing me here."

Lu-Bei also humbly thanked the prime disciple. He turned around and walked in the direction the prime disciple had told him, with ten guards following him. But as he walked, Lu-Bei sensed some energy waves hidden by the side of the path. But they were not malicious or thought badly of him. It was as if they were just staring at him.

"What was that creepy feeling just now?" Suddenly, one of the guards spoke up, raising his hand to stroke his goosebumped arm.

"I don't know. I only know that something is staring at us?"

"I feel it too. I just don't know where it came from."

"You guys should stop talking now. Otherwise, you might not have a chance to get out of here," Lu-Bei, walking in the middle, warned his guards to stop talking and walk quietly.

"Yes, Your Highness!"

Ten minutes had passed...

Lu-Bei and the guards finally arrived at the guesthouse. The house was not very big, but it had a strange and awe-inspiring feeling floating around in its surroundings. Just looking at it could make the heart skip a beat. And the closer they got to the house, the more their legs seemed to tire.

All of this was because of the energy waves released by Zheng-Fu to test Prince Lu-Bei to see how he would react. Prince Lu-Bei still did not show any fear or displeasure. He remained calm and continued to walk in.

"What a person with a brave heart... Lu-Bei!"

Suddenly, Zheng-Fu's voice rang out amid the stillness. And when Zheng-Fu's voice sounded out, the strange atmosphere just now suddenly disappeared. This made the guards and Lu-Bei easier to breathe on, and their heartbeats returned to normal. Only a large amount of sweat still dripped down their foreheads.

After the sound disappeared, Zheng-Fu's figure appeared in front of the house. "How is this place, Lu-Bei?" he said with a friendly smile at Lu-Bei.

"Young Master Zheng-Fu? Um… This place is really great," Prince Lu-Bei replied with a friendly smile back to Zheng-Fu as well.

"Respect, Young Master Zheng-Fu!!!"

As for the ten guards surrounding Lu-Bei, when they saw Zheng-Fu, they all bowed respectfully in unison.

"Hello everyone!" Zheng-Fu turned around and greeted the ten of them with a friendly smile before turning to Lu-Bei again. "Let's go inside and talk. It would be tiring to stand and talk like this," having said this, Zheng-Fu turned around and opened the door of the house before walking inside.

"Um… Good. Please, Young Master Zheng-Fu," Lu-Bei nodded and responded before following Zheng-Fu in. Then it was ten guards that followed closely.

Thump!!! Thump!!! Thump!!!

After entering the house, they noticed that everything inside was extremely simple. It looked no different from a normal house at all. But what was different was a feeling of freshness as they took a breath that was hard to describe.

Shortly after entering the house, they reached a courtyard behind the house that was decorated with a shady flower garden and a lotus pond. In the middle of the pond, there was a small pavilion standing majestically. Inside, there was only a marble table with two marble chairs, a teapot, and two cups.

Flap!!!

"Prince Lu-Bei, please," Zheng-Fu dashed towards the pavilion and sat down on one chair, then invited the Second Prince, Lu-Bei, to sit across from him.

Um...

Flap!!! Thump!!!

Upon receiving the invitation, Lu-Bei soared to the pavilion and immediately sat down in the chair opposite Zheng-Fu.

"This place looks very shady. The more I look, the more I feel at ease," Lu-Bei said as he happily swept his gaze around the garden.

"Of course, this garden was specially prepared for you," Zheng-Fu replied with a smile on the corner of his mouth.

"For me!? You know I'm coming!?" Lu-Bei was slightly shocked when he heard Zheng-Fu say that this house was prepared for him.

"No, I didn't know you were coming. I just thought that one day you'd come, so I prepared this house to wait for you, for I've heard that you like gardens and nature," Zheng-Fu explained the reason for what he had said earlier.

"Is that so? I'd like to thank Young Master Zheng-Fu very much," Lu-Bei clasped his hands and said his sincere gratitude.

"Prince Lu-Bei, you don't have to be concerned," Zheng-Fu knew that Lu-Bei was very polite, so he politely called Lu-Bei back as well. At first, he did not address him as Prince in front of him because he thought they were friends. But when Zheng-Fu heard Lu-Bei's polite words, he had to speak politely back.

"Young Master Zheng-Fu, you can call me Lu-Bei as usual. You don't have to call me Prince," Lu-Bei thought the same as Zheng-Fu. Honestly, he did not want Zheng-Fu to call him like that, so he told Zheng-Fu to call him as before.

"Sure, but you should just call me Zheng-Fu as well. Otherwise, I'll still call you Prince like this," Zheng-Fu also told Lu-Bei to only call him by name, and he would not call Lu-Bei 'Prince.'

"Alright, I'll call you Zheng-Fu. So, you should call me Lu-Bei too," Lu-Bei knew that Zheng-Fu was a resolute person. Whatever he decided, he would do so. So he simply called him 'Zheng-Fu.'

"Alright... We both agreed to be friends, and we shouldn't call each other that far apart. If you call me like that again, consider that we're not friends," Zheng-Fu said with a sly smile on the corner of his mouth.

"Of course... I won't call you that again. Let's put aside the matter of our names. I came here because I wanted to ask you to help me. If you please…"

"No…!"

Huh...?

"No problem. No matter what, I'll be happy to help you with all my might," Zheng-Fu still thought of teasing Lu-Bei, so he said no, then paused for a moment before continuing.

As for Lu-Bei, upon hearing Zheng-Fu say no, his expression turned slightly pale. Because Zheng-Fu had not listened to his request at all but refused first. But when Zheng-Fu spoke the next words, his expression instantly improved, causing a visible smile to appear. He felt he was very right to come to Zheng-Fu today.

"Thank you very much, Zheng-Fu. But other than you, I don't know who I should turn to for assistance with this," Lu-Bei said gratefully with sincere admiration on his face.

"It's alright. You want me to help with what? Or do you want me to choose a wife for you?"

"Hey, not like that! Regarding my wife, I can choose myself. No need for you to choose for me. The thing I want you to help me with is... Last week, my father and Commander Guan discovered the ancient ruins underground beside the new palace. These ancient ruins are estimated to be at least a thousand years old, or perhaps even older.

The exact date cannot be determined," said Lu-Bei, describing why he came to ask Zheng-Fu for help with a serious expression on his face before continuing.

"You must be wondering what this has to do with my request for your help. The matter is that my father sent several soldiers there, but as a result, all the soldiers were killed. Even many high-ranking soldiers could not come back. So, my father ordered Commander Guan and many martial masters to invade, but the result was almost the same.

Except for Commander Guan and some martial masters, the rest are all dead."

"Commander Guan said that there was an extremely disgusting and creepy pressure floating around inside the ancient ruin. And there were also many Immortal Soul monster beasts. Fortunately, they couldn't come out of that ruin. Otherwise... Sigh... That's why I came to you here today to ask for your help," Lu-Bei said anxiously and sadly as he recalled the incident.

Because of this incident, thousands of soldiers were killed. But with the royal court blocking the news, no one else knew about it except the high-ranking officers and the nobles. And the king urged everyone to not let this news slip out.

But even without the news leaking out, the king was still distrustful because there were many beasts within the ancient ruins, and each of them had extremely high energy levels. If they were to escape, Blueland's capital city would be completely destroyed.

So, the king thought of asking for help from martial artists across the kingdom. But the Second Prince thought of Zheng-Fu and decided to tell his father that he would try to ask Zheng-Fu to help by reasoning that he was Zheng-Fu's close friend and was confident that he could.

"Um... It's a very head-aching thing, isn't it? Fortunately, those monster beasts can't come out; otherwise, I wouldn't be able to see you again. Ha ha ha," Zheng-Fu saw that Lu-Bei had a tense expression on his face, so he tried to joke around to make Lu-Bei feel better.

"Sigh... I'm so weak. Our kingdom has problems again and again, but I can't help it at all. Big Brother is the only person who can help Father," Lu-Bei complained hurtfully about his weakness that when problems happened, he could do nothing.

"Don't think too much, comrade. At least you have courage. You're brave enough to travel thousands of li to come and beg me here. Even though you knew that it might not succeed, you still thought to come and beg me. So, you're not all useless and weak," Zheng-Fu comforted Lu-Bei, encouraging him.

Traveling such a long way to beg someone to do something despite knowing it might not succeed was an act of great courage.

"It would be great if I could be as strong as you. Sigh...!!!" Lu-Bei stared at Zheng-Fu, admiring Zheng-Fu's talent and knowledge, which were all superior to his.

"Of course, you can be as strong as me if you want. But you might have to go through a lot of pain first, and then you'll have an energy increase that even you can't imagine," Zheng-Fu said, taking out a pill from his dimensional ring and handing it over to Lu-Bei.

Blop!!!

"What's this?" Lu-Bei took the pill from Zheng-Fu without hesitation before asking.

"It's what you want."
