Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny

Chapter 324: Rebirth and Restart_2

Everyone present confirmed it, yes, it was them who did it!

Even the surveillance footage is there!

Videos can't be altered; how could the cameras lie?

When the old men left with compensation money and Ji Jue's red envelope, arranging to catch prizes, the entire Coastal Automobile Factory became quiet.

The turmoil dispersed.

Unfortunately, the gloom remained, even becoming thicker.

Even though Yin Chaoyang suffered a severe loss, he seemed even more obstinate, no longer pretending, and his activities became more frequent and high-profile, blocking every channel and influence.

Especially regarding parts and materials, strictly guarded.

Making Yan Jian's legs almost break from running, yet even a set of brake pads couldn't be bought, and the warehouse still lies empty. Those machines that stopped for years continue to need maintenance and repair, yet no one cares.

The only gain came when Ji Jue contacted the Tong family, directly obtaining a dozen trucks of basic materials like steel and rubber.

That night, the Coastal Automobile Factory closed its doors.

Security in place, cattle and horses returned to their pens.

A quiet scene.

After Ji Jue sent Ye Chun home, he grabbed his toolbox, humming a song as he walked towards the factory building.

"Hey, where are you going?"

For days too busy to go home, sleeping on the floor in the duty room, Yan Jian climbed up, bald head poking out, suspiciously eyeing Ji Jue.

Full of worry.

Always felt this kid seemed calm but had lost his sanity long ago...

Hope he doesn't quietly fail to accept reality and hang himself at the factory gate.

Life's barely better now, though everything's absurd, at least there's still absurdity to talk about; Yan Jian truly feared Ji Jue suddenly gave up on providing a big boost to the lame group.

"Repairing, ah."

Ji Jue shook the toolbox in his hand: "Haven't those devices been left unused for a long time?"

That serious look made Yan Jian roll his eyes.

Lunatic.

Now he's not afraid Ji Jue would hang himself at the factory gate; he's afraid Ji Jue's mental state might hang him at the factory door...

"Then make sure you repair well, be careful."

Yan Jian sighed, waved his hand, and continued to lie down and sleep.

The piercing sound of the factory doors opening came from afar, then gradually closed.

He fell into a deep sleep.

And inside the dim factory, Ji Jue fumbled and flipped the switch; suddenly, with crackling noises, one after another yellowish lights lit up from the ceiling.

Flickering or extinguishing.

Rustling dust danced in the beams, spreading and descending again; the sleeping massive machines in the dust remained unresponsive as always. Yet, for some reason, one could feel... the weariness and sorrow echoing between the dust and grime.

"It's just like a morgue."

Ji Jue sighed lightly, stepped forward, fingers brushing over the heavily dust-laden casings, sensing the silent lament within.

Through the wear and tear of time and years, a powerless wait, day after day of torment, losing hope amidst the gnawing of mice and ants, finally entirely scrapped, thrown into the junkyard.

"Truly sad."

Ji Jue reached out, wiped the surface of the gigantic press's panel, and softly asked, "Are you okay?"

The press remained silent.

Only between the sounds of steel friction did the casings coil, mechanisms shifted, a giant gear-eye from the casing opened, staring at him.

Rust-stained corners of the eye, silently shed a mottled tear.

Lamenting, praying, pleading.

"Then get moving, friend."

Ji Jue caressed its eye corner, silently smiled: "Isn't there still dignity and anger left?"

In that instant, screeching steel friction sounds suddenly spread, ringing from every corner, erupting from beneath each silent steel.

Like panting, like lamenting, like roaring, or a long breath.

When the fiery light from Ji Jue's eyes ignited, an immense spiritual fluctuation burst forth from his body, revealing the Non-attack Matrix in his hands.

And then, something unprecedented happened, Mechanical Descent!

Instantly, it enveloped the entire factory building!

Spark flashes kept appearing, piercing friction sounds extended endlessly. The ground, walls, ceiling, and even beams shook and trembled with countless micro dust dancing.

Under the flickering dim light, massive shadows rose, morphed, overlapped, casting eerie silhouettes on the walls.

And within the silent factory, the steel giants were granted an ethereal soul and life, rising from this moment onward!

Amidst the mourning of the concrete floor, scars emerged, enormous figures meandering like serpents, wriggling and hiding, living conveyor belts contracted and metamorphosed, iron scales reflected light, scattering countless fragments of light.

The rusted long tongue flung out, swaying.

Scarlet eyes opened, curiously gazing down, staring at the near Ji Jue, for a long time, affectionately touching him with its sharp-angled forehead.

Behind it, like a giant elephant, the massive press slowly rose, sweeping up a storm, with its wide mouth slowly opening, greedily breathing in every bit of air.

And under the gathering of hundreds of arms, the gigantic mechanical spider had already shed rust spots, its menacing shadow enveloping Ji Jue below, yet now, utterly lacking ferocity.

Submissively crouched on the ground, letting Ji Jue step on its head, lifting him into mid-air.

Grace like rain, showered from Ji Jue's hands; as he passed, the once lifeless remains and collapsing steel opened eyes anew, returning to this world.
