Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny

Chapter 168: Wish You a Happy Death

It was like plunging into the icy waters of a lake in an instant.

From the suffocating whirl of heaven and earth, he lost all sensation, as if in a moment, and yet as if an unknowable amount of time had passed.

When Lian Cheng raised his head from his daze, he saw the dim, fading world, everything shattered.

The sky was full of sores and spores; the earth revealed measles-like marks.

Above the firmament, the sun snarled, and the moon howled; they kissed in the firmament, gnawing and tearing at each other, generously spilling blood that became a pervasive waterfall and torrent in the world below.

Falling on his body, a crop of mushrooms sprouted, melting into sticky blood, bubbles rising from the rotting flesh to burst and reveal faces that surrounded him, crying and laughing, rising and falling like smoke.

Within the poison of the Undying Disease, the malice of Slaughter was rampant.

In flesh that could not die, bone branches and sinews that fought each other grew, trying to kill himself, and he in turn sought to kill another part of himself.

When the last barrier was broken and the breath of the Lord appeared among them, the three began an endless slaughter, struggle, and competition like a Vortex.

His body the battlefield.

The end of infinite change, the end of infinite life, the source of infinite struggle...

The three intertwined, scattering a kaleidoscope of light so brilliant it made one nauseous, plunging him involuntarily into a deluge of illusions and torment, dying, reviving, suffering abuse and torment.

He screamed, cried, and shrieked sharply.

Vomiting violently, he spat out one crude, shattered blade after another, and more white bone blades sprouted from his Mutant body; then, the animated Mutant flesh extended again, encompassing the Bone Blade Spirit Sword as if it were chewing on steel.

In an instant, he was torn apart, yet the remaining flesh was stubbornly reassembling, pulling the precarious Soul back to the edge of the cliff.

"Save... save me..."

In the shackles of the electric chair, Lian Cheng writhed in madness, a succession of mouths growing and Decaying, uttering fragmented sounds; countless broken eyes shed blood and tears as they instinctively cried, "Save... save me..."

The response to him was a jubilant shout.

"It's done!"

Ji Jue spread his arms wide with excited congratulations, "Congratulations, senior, you've made it!"

"He's dying! He's dying!"

The impatient doctors crowded around, their hollow faces filled with ecstasy, "He's really about to die!"

"Good death! Such a good death!!"

They clapped their hands, cheering and applauding, tears of excitement streaming down as they shouted, "Come on, come on!"

"Believe in yourself, believe in you, you can do it!"

"Just a little bit more!"

"Haha, you swallowed it! How do you feel? How do you feel?"

Ji Jue clenched his fists to encourage, laughing and cheering, "Just a bit more, and you can die, senior, you must let the disease strike you down!"

"You... you..."

From the torment of Purgatory, Lian Cheng opened his mouths all over his body, screaming sharply, wanting to curse.

But as he opened his mouth, he vomited out clumps of blood, which upon hitting the ground, writhed like worms and then evaporated into nothingness.

He reached out with twisted fingers, instinctively trying to grab Ji Jue.

But the distance was too great.

Just a hair's breadth...

"Just a shame, the current dosage is still a bit too conservative."

Ji Jue bent down to examine his pitiful condition and suddenly suggested, "How about we do another course?!"

"!!!"

Every eye on Lian Cheng's body widened and bulged, veined like a worm's, almost bursting free from his body in an agonizing and cacophonous scream.

A struggle ensued.

"Why don't we take it a step further..."

Ji Jue magically pulled out a huge syringe from behind him, several times larger than before and as thick as an arm, filled to the brim with a glaring crimson, eager to try:

"Let's use it directly on the patient!"

In an instant, the already confident doctors' eyes lit up even more, their excitement unconcealed, their laughter eerie and shrill, their cackling unceasing.

Only on the electric chair, there suddenly came a piercing sound of metal twisting.

It was Lian Cheng struggling.

He howled miserably, and within the swollen mass of flesh, a vaguely human form emerged, opening its mouth to scream, as misshapen limbs writhed like worms.

In that instant, atop a scalp devoid of hair, a blood-veined, azure eye embedded in the flesh suddenly opened, brimming with Fierceness.

Endure, endure, endure, endure, endure... no longer able to endure!

Daring to lay hands on the medium graced by the descent of the Lord...

"It's all your doing, all of you forced me!"

Lian Cheng bellowed, letting go of the last restraint within his body, his mouths gaping in unison, their voices overlapping like thunder:

"You all must die!!!"

In that instant, under the watchful azure eye, the entire Time Ruins seemed to freeze for a moment, every aspect immobilized as if by the might of Ruins. Yet it was entirely different from Ruins.

For what was stilled was not flesh, but the spirit and will, like dew and lightning, elusive and invisible.

Even the so-called... Soul!

Invisible waves spread from the movement of that eye, raising an unseen stormy sea that swept through the entire Time Ruins in an instant.

From Lian Cheng's shattered body emerged the great power of a superior Evil being, enveloping everything.

In a flash, Ji Jue felt a jolt through his body, as if an unseen tide had swept over him. But at this moment, the Non-attack, which covered his body to contain the Evil infection, suddenly shook violently, drawing upon reserves of spiritual energy from his wristwatch, repelling all changes affecting Ji Jue's body!
