Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny

Chapter 134: Long Night Continues - Part 5 (Thanks to Johannes van den Berg the Alliance Leader_4)

He's got hacks!

Although there's no Azure Dragon to his left or White Tiger to his right, isn't it a bit over-the-top to place the Ruins right at the center of his navel?

Don't you understand? This is the confidence that cheats have given me!

"Old Tang, keep your eyes peeled!"

Ji Jue coughed, smoothed his hair, and stepped forward, patting his shoulder: "Buddy, let me show you a trick!"

With that said, he suddenly leaped from the rubble, pointing towards the impending explosion of Jin Wujiu amid the storm and thunderfire.

He roared:

"—Old Deng, prepare to die!"

In a snap, Minerva's blessing that Wen Jie had sealed on him was unlocked under Ji Jue's spiritual infusion, a dreamlike glint of crystal light spread from his fingertips.

Vanished from sight.

The thunder and the storm continued, the flames rose higher.

No change at all.

Only behind the broken walls, Tang Qian poked his head out, cluelessly asking, "Can I blink now?"

Ji Jue paused, looked up, and saw the puzzled and utterly baffled look in Jin Wujiu's eyes—where did this clown come from?

"Uh, sorry, my bad."

Ji Jue forced a difficult smile, wanting to clasp his fists and bid farewell with an apology.

Unfortunately, he couldn't move anymore.

Just like that, his entire body lost all sensation, as if turning to stone—no, the petrification had already begun.

His hair, skin, and clothes all rapidly lost their color, appearing translucent, reflecting the twisted glow of countless crystals. In the blink of an eye, he turned into a statue, still in the pose of pointing forward.

Majestic, as if he's standing proudly... waiting for death.

Then, he finally felt it—the emergence of a wild and raging power, so vivid.

Like an erupting volcano.

Regrettably, it seemed as though he was sitting right on top of the crater.

Hmm?

Wait!

Wasn't there something not quite right... again?!

Ji Jue's fragile consciousness was completely overwhelmed by the terrifying aura surging from his soul.

Like becoming a unyielding rock, weathered by a million years of wind and rain, and finally, amidst the thunder and quakes, he revealed the fierce radiance nurtured over millennia.

The mountain rumbled, and the ocean echoed.

The distant echoes of the mountains and sea overlapped, the eternal constancies of the world reflected in the crystal light for an instant—as if a terrible shadow named Dragon disdainfully glanced over from the distant doomsday.

At this moment, Jin Wujiu finally changed his expression in shock.

But it was too late...

Beyond the swirling thunderbolts and lightning, high above the tumultuous sky, a dreamlike aurora had suddenly appeared.

From within the pervasive deep purple, countless crystal prisms reflected, turning the night sky into a magnificent Kaleidoscope. Countless glimmers interweaving in a vortex became the Dragon's eyes, but soon, like an illusion, they faded away.

"Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! What is that?"

Tang Qian, terrified, instinctively wanted to turn tail and run.

Just like seeing someone aim a rocket launcher at a cockroach at their feet...

Minerva!

That was Minerva, for crying out loud!!!

Five years ago, that crazy goddess from who-knows-where slaughtered her way through Central Earth and Thousand Islands, heads rolling everywhere. After being co-opted by the Federation, she, goddammit, continued her massacre within the Federation, from Huang Province to Yunzhou, and finally right under the Heavenly People's eyelids, before disappearing without a trace... And now she's popped up again?!

Are you serious?

Right now, Tang Qian lay in the ruins, feeling his scalp tingle, wondering just how deep waters he'd inadvertently waded into?!

An eerie silence descended suddenly.

The storm ceased abruptly, the air turned to amber, the flames froze, the thunder stopped, and beneath the fracturing clouds, iridescence dazzled, the moon hung high, and in a frozen world, everything became so beautiful.

But within the courtyard, no more breaths of life could be felt.

Destruction was overlaid by even more ferocious destruction, and death was consumed by an even more majestic death.

From that brief glimpse from high above, the end had quietly arrived!

There was no room to struggle or escape.

Not even time to leave last words or to feel fear and despair.

In midair, amidst the frozen fire and thunder, Jin Wujiu's body silently began to shatter at one corner... Pale fissures spread across his skin, widening, until at last, they turned into flying crystal dust, vanishing from view.

Thunder, flames, storm, all followed suit.

Like a dream, shattered lights scattered and fluttered over the ruins.

Like countless fireflies dancing.

Carried away by the wind, gradually, they disappeared without a trace.

From then on, the whole army was wiped out!

And in this everlasting quiet with no visible end, only Ji Jue sighed lightly.

He stood with his hands behind his back, gazing at the moon still hanging high in the sky, as if lamenting how this round of moonlight had witnessed countless struggles and solitude throughout ancient and modern times.

While he was considering what profound words to say, to put a Perfect end to this masterful act of bravado, he heard... hysterical laughing from the golden-haired brat in the ruins!

Running madly, cheering, dancing.

Even forgetting that he wasn't wearing pants.

"I made it!"

He danced and shouted, "Hahaha, I made it!!!"

A ray of light emerged from the ruins after the battle, converging and showering down upon him.

That was...

Ji Jue turned around in shock, his eyes nearly popping out.

—Superior Blessing!?
