Legend of the chosen ones: Beyond Destiny

Chapter 93 Awakening Moment_2

"Will you not feel lonely?"

"Perhaps."

The girl shook her head nonchalantly, gazing at everything before her, looking toward those times that seemed like an abyss, "At least, I can still miss her, just as she is missing me."

Day and night, without ever stopping.

Even though time and death separate us...

As long as this longing remains, parting no longer seems scary, nor does death. Even if I fall into the abyss, and wander to the ends of the earth, I will not feel alone or afraid.

It wasn't just regret and pain that crossed four hundred years.

Even if that darkness is so void, it can still imprint itself in the abyss and radiate light.

Just like the stars.

"So, make a decision, big brother."

She finally reached out her hand, embracing the boy before her, so light, "Some pains are already too much, there's no need to continue, nor should there be more tragedies.

It's time to say goodbye."

With that, she picked up the pendant in her arms and put it around Ji Jue's neck.

Inside the open pendant, there was only a tattered photograph, a family cuddled together, smiling happily. Even if it's blurred and faded, even if separated by long times.

"The story of the past has ended, let it stay in the past. There need not be more tragedies, nor new forms of hell."

From the dissipating old times, the girl smiled, bidding farewell, "No need to hesitate over someone else's story, please move forward, into a future of your own."

"No matter what that future and outcome might be... I believe, the person you're missing, is still missing you just as much."

Ji Jue stood there, stunned.

From the gradually blurring old times, it seemed as if a song was rising again, from the distant sound of a running train.

So gentle.

And so familiar.

When Ji Jue suddenly looked back, everything before him dissipated like an illusion, the girl and the town vanished without a trace, the fierce flames and ruins gradually receding.

Only her song still lingered in his soul.

So clear.

As if, it had always been by his side, never far away.

In that moment, Ji Jue finally opened his eyes, returned to the mortal world, staring at the Crack Realm before him, the collapsed earth, surging sea of blood, pain, despair, and hell.

"It was such an unrealistic dream..."

Although it was only a brief moment, it felt as though ages had passed.

When the distant dream came to an end, the noise from the workshop and the vibration of the Crack Realm operation filled Ji Jue's soul again, reflecting everything that had happened, as if to imprint all the changes into the soul.

But this time, Ji Jue no longer felt hesitant or confused.

He lifted his head, looking towards the sky, amidst the layers of chained restraints, indulging in despair, the Saint's remnants sang sorrowfully.

And when he looked back, he saw the Crack Realm collapsing and overturning. In countless cycles of rebirth, the cries and screams of shattered souls flowed from the sea.

To persist, or to give up.

Both are tragedies, both sides are hell.

But he at least could choose whether to let this hell continue...

Perhaps, to recreate hell, there was a chance to see them again, but they should not fall into such a hell.

So, a decision had to be made—

"Leave it to me."

He whispered gently, promising to all, reaching out, clutching the staff offered by the Prophet.

Without hesitation, ready to ignite all the spiritual material, throwing everything into this resonance and connection, once again, merging with it all.

—Mechanical Descent!

Unresisting, and with no hesitation, at the moment Ji Jue's spirit took control, the workshop filling the Crack Realm seemed to welcome its new master, vibrating with a jubilant song.

Endless Spiritual Circuits, constantly shifting fluid refinement, countless runes and emblems, even the blessings vast as a sea of stars from the Superior Blessing. This workshop, built by the Saint's lifelong efforts and sacrifices, a true work of Heavenly Artisan, welcomed its new wielder!

From his right hand, a long-silent watch suddenly radiated a dazzling light, as bright as the sun, illuminating everything.

Under the guidance of the watch, the Non-attack Matrix on Ji Jue's hands seemed to be endowed with life, growing again, in an instant, covering his entire body.

Inside, it covered the soul, outside, it took control of everything.

Countless Invisible Hands emerged from the void, high above, covering and controlling all aspects.

And just below in the abyss, deep within the enormous workshop, sealed for over four hundred years in darkness, suddenly, a light tinkling emerged, as if in response to a long-missed call.

Thus, from a trance-like hallucination, Ji Jue saw, within the lock built on the workshop's foundation, the rusted blade lying in the dust...

With trembling and ringing, the broken sword ascended, finally shedding a strand of blood-stained rust from its jagged edge.

And thus, beneath the peeling dust, emerged a blade so dazzling it caused the entire Crack Realm to tremble and the universe to pause.

Just a moment, and it pierced through everything.

Endless fierce light ascended from within the lock, bursting forth, heading towards the heavens, to the core, sweeping grandiosely, into the hands of the Prophet.

An abyss-like frenzy drained the spiritual material sourced from the workshop, as if to devour and burn all.
