"Wow, this was an outstanding fight," Lyra said.
"Yes, indeed. I didn't expect this outcome," Nolan replied. "Same as I—I thought Zero, wearing the Adamantium armor, was going to win. But when Lucian proved his blade was sharp enough to cut through Adamantium, I knew this battle could go either way. Honestly, I never expected it to end like this."
As Nolan spoke, his eyes stayed on the arena. Lucian was still sitting on the ground, breathing heavily, staring at the healer who came to carry Zero away. After a moment, Lucian slowly pushed himself to his feet and walked out of the arena.
"But what do you think of his attack?" Lyra asked.
"His attack wasn't anything extraordinary," Nolan said. "Lucian's technique was simple—nothing flashy. At first, I thought Zero had the upper hand. But when Lucian cut through his armor, and more importantly, when he froze Zero for just an instant and struck at a critical opening in the joint, that was the turning point. From that moment, I knew the match would be tough for Zero to recover from."
"But still, it wasn't as long or as brutal as the Asta versus Zevric fight," lyra commented.
"Yeah, it wasn't," Nolan agreed. "Those two are on another level entirely. But after what I've seen today, I think Lucian might be able to go toe to toe with them."
"Now, for my next match, such an outstanding one, was someone who performed very well—Cora versus Doro! Please get ready," the emissary announced.
The crowd erupted with cheers as excitement filled the arena. Everyone turned their attention toward the participants' seats, eager to see what these two fighters could do.
"It's time to see what Cora is really capable of. I want to know what I'm dealing with," Celia said, her eyes narrowing with interest.
"Yeah, we haven't seen either of them fight yet," Linda replied. "We didn't come to watch people who haven't proven themselves. Let's see if they're worth the hype."
Cora and Doro stood from their seats in unison. Calm and steady, they walked through the passageway leading to the back of the arena. Their footsteps echoed softly against the stone floor, tension already crackling between them. Both stopped just before the gate, waiting for their names to be officially called by the emissary.
Those ladies who mess with me, Celia and Linda, they're going to see what I'm capable of. They'll run. If we ever get paired, they don't stand a chance. I have to show Kyrion that he should put some faith in me. I'm more than ready. The one I'm about to fight… I'll hold back for now. But if it's Celia or Linda in the ring with me, it won't be a duel, it'll be an arena made for torture. I'll make them beg. I'll make them bow.
Cora smiled to herself as she stepped forward. Now it's time for their names to be called. The gate slid open and Cora walked into the arena. As she entered, the crowd erupted, remembering her last performance and how outstanding she had been.
And the crowd kept cheering for her.
"Why are they cheering for her this much? We didn't watch her last match performance, so we don't know how good she really is," Celia said.
"Well, it doesn't matter. Let's just see. She already showed some of her skills, now let's see what else she's capable of," Linda replied.
"Yes… let's do that," Celia said as they both watched.
Cora stood tall in the arena, her presence commanding attention.
"Now, for our next participant—Doro, step into the arena!" the emissary announced.
The crowd roared again as Doro stepped into the arena. The two of them now faced each other, standing firm.
"Remember, everyone, who these fighters are," the emissary continued. "Cora—a lady who has already shown us her skills. She is good in combat and also capable of summoning monsters. Not just any monsters—she has even tamed one that very few people have ever managed to tame. That alone proves how outstanding she is. Her last opponent begged her to end the fight, that's how overwhelming her strength was."
The crowd cheered louder.
"And now, her opponent—Doro! A powerful fighter, ranked A. He uses his fists to fight with insane strength, and not only that, he is capable of turning his fingers into claws, making his attacks even deadlier. What will be the outcome of this battle?"
The air grew tense, and the crowd leaned forward in anticipation.
"Now—may the match begin!" the emissary declared.
The arena erupted as the crowd shouted, ready for the clash.
Doro moved first, his heavy steps pounding the arena floor as he closed in on Cora with frightening speed.
In response, Cora unfurled a whip, its length glowing faintly, covered with a shimmering magical force. She lashed it toward him with a sharp crack.
Doro dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the strike. The whip slammed into the ground, splitting stone and sending dust flying. The crowd gasped as they saw the raw force behind it.
Cora struck again, and again, each swing carving the floor, but Doro was fast, weaving past her attacks, his sharp eyes locked on her movements.
Then Cora leapt back, a wicked smile curving her lips. She raised a hand, chanting lowly, and a crimson circle burned to life beneath her feet.
"Come forth," she whispered.
The ground split as three massive red wolves clawed their way up from the glowing circle, their fur blazing like fire, eyes burning with feral hunger. The crowd roared at the sight.
"Red Wolves!" someone shouted. "She actually summoned Red Wolves!"
"That's impossible! Red Wolves are one of the toughest beasts to tame, rank C monsters!" another voice rang out, awe mixing with fear.
The wolves snarled, circling Doro, their growls vibrating through the arena.
"Last time, she summoned a giant snake, bigger than anything I've ever seen," a man in the stands recalled. "Her opponent gave up in less than twenty minutes. He couldn't handle it."
Now, the crowd leaned forward, eager to see if Doro would survive the storm Cora had unleashed.
